“Went for a going away party and it is really a nice place. There is an inside bar and an outside rooftop area, with a window to the bar. The server reminded me of that Norwegian soccer star Erland, or whatever his name is. The appetizers we enjoyed included hummus with cauliflower, pita triangles, and some flat breads. It was still daytime but even so, the atmosphere was nice. I imagine the place is very cozy at night“

“I started frequenting The Bean Flower a couple of months ago after my sister took me for the first time. I’m not a matcha enthusiast or connoisseur in any way, shape, or form, but this place has the best matcha I’ve ever tried by FAR! The staff is always super friendly and efficient, the space is super cute inside, and they sell adorable stickers and merch too. I would highly recommend this place!“

“I finally came to Boricua Soul after seeing them on one of the food shows. I brought my mother along and we really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere along with the food. Mom got the shrimp sandwich with collard greens and mac & cheese while I got the Boricua Bowl with fried chicken. The greens were great and while I’m not really a mac & cheese person, this mac & cheese was hitting on all cylinders. Great down to earth business where the owners are in tune with all who walk through the doors to share their space. The fact they’re located at American Tobacco in downtown Durham right by the Durham Bulls baseball stadium makes it a must stop. Defintely coming back the next time I’m in Durham when I see Mom again.“

“Lovely place to hang out. They have huge outside sitting and good amount of inside sitting too.
The staff was friendly and beers were great. Some friends had cocktails and they loved it too.
We went with our own food and snacks but couldn't eat as they serve food and outside food is not allowed. That is fine, we just realize they serve food too.“

“Everything that we’ve tried was absolutely delicious. This restaurant has sensible prices, and no pretense. The wait staff is also great. The Pinot I tried was excellent and did I mention the tiramisu, It’s rich and large enough for 3 people to share. No you can’t finish the food, which means that your bringing home enough for dinner another day. No pretense, absolutely the best taste, and enough for another meal.“

“Let me tell you chef ??!!!!! My daughter was there about 2 weeks ago for a college tour. She came home telling us about Vittles at the Park. She is a picky eater and she talked about was the Cajun Catfish. Here we are 2 wks latter, with other family members and we all were thoroughly pleased with those at the front counter to everything we ate. I had the flounder combo with 2 sides (collards and candied yams). I opened up my dinner and I know I wasn’t going to finish it all because there were 3 nice size pieces of fish. I started eating before you know it all was gone. That’s how good the food was. When we’re back in town we will definitely be back & we have more family members accompanying us as well.“
