“What a great place for a family celebration! All the seafood was fabulous, especially the fried Calamari, but I must say I had the world’s greatest Greek Salad and Pita! Wonderful hidden gem in the Chapel Hill area! Waite staff took care of kids with excellent care. Taking their order before everyone else and they were eating and enjoying themselves while everyone else enjoyed fellowship. Definitely will make this a usual place for dinner and celebrations when visiting my family in Chapel Hill!“

“First I want to say the server Siani was amazing. He did a great job he was very nice and his timing was great. Made sure we had everything and made us very comfortable. The food was fresh, hot and delicious, especially the steak and cheese egg rolls and bread. Drinks was good. I would definitely go back. Recommend for grown and sexy vibes, date night, chill and laid back atmosphere.“

I've tried numerous Mayflower Seafood locations across North Carolina over the years, and let me be absolutely clear: NO ONE compares to the Chapel Hill location.
The food here is consistently amazing. They serve up classic Southern fried seafood exactly the way it should be—fresh, perfectly crisp, and never greasy. Whether it’s the shrimp, the oysters, or the flounder, the quality is always top-notch and truly delicious.
I treat this Chapel Hill location as its own unique restaurant because the quality, consistency, and overall experience set it miles apart from the rest. If you're craving Mayflower-style seafood, skip the others and make the drive to this one. You won't be disappointed.
This is the only Mayflower I recommend, and it has my highest approval.“

“I have ordered several custom cakes for special occasions and they have all been delicious! I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and they do an amazing job accommodating both and taking the time to discuss with me my options for cake, frosting and filling flavors. The rest of my family (who can eat gluten and dairy) even LOVE these cakes. They say that they can't tell the difference! The chocolate cake is our favorite.“

“The food here was genuinely really good, and we were greeted and seated quickly, which set the visit off on the right foot. The only thing that threw us off a bit was our waitress. Every time we ordered, she repeated it back to us in a way that felt more like she was questioning whether we really wanted it. At first we thought it might’ve been a language barrier—just a couple of white guys eating at a Mexican restaurant—but I speak Spanish too, and it was the same experience.
She wasn’t a bad waitress by any means, just not very attentive and a little unsure with everything. The biggest issue came when it was time to pay. When the tip options popped up on the handheld card reader, she actually pointed to the percentage she wanted and asked, “This one is ok for you?” My friend said she did the same thing to him.
Great food and fast seating, but the service needs a little polishing to match the quality of the kitchen.“
