“We were highly impressed with our first visit to Tall John’s! We had the Bravette Steak and Duck, both cooked to perfection! The cocktails were equally unique and tasty! Cool Vibes & yummy food! Oh, and we both have a gluten issue and were accommodated easily! We will be back ❤️”

“This is one of our favorite spots in Asheville! We highly recommend and they also have an awesome market where you can purchase a yummy Curate Salsa de Aperitivo, spices that you can use to cook with at home, ham sandwiches to go, and so much other delicious flavors from Spain. You guys are awesome! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Every single interaction we had at Limones was sincere, intentional, and well executed. We were greeted and given a place to wait in the lobby with an herbal seltzer. Our server Jamie was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and gave eloquent, robust descriptions of the food as well as his recommendations we requested. We shared the lardo pizza - you should too. This is cellophane thin pork fat rendered just so to melt into incredible cheese and oven fired crust. I would go back for more this second. Every part of our meal exuded that impeccable attention to detail. A ravioli type pasta with ham cornbread and peas was the perfect Appalachian/Italian pairing. The tiramisu was thick, custardy, eggy in the lightest but creamiest way. The pistachio gelato with pistachio syrup was incredible. My only wish would’ve been to try one more dessert but we did make a 9:30 reservation so you roll the dice. That panna cotta sounded wonderful. I could not imagine anyone being less than thoroughly impressed with Limones. My husband was a chef for 20+ years and felt every aspect of a great meal was part of our meal there. 10/10 Limones.”

“An unforgettable, deeply resonant meal at Neng Jr.
Our dinner here last night was exceptional—not just in execution, but in meaning.
As someone who is Filipino, ordering the corned beef was an unexpectedly emotional experience. The flavor was uncannily precise, transporting me straight back to my childhood. It tasted exactly like the corned beef my lolo used to make when he was raising us—humble, soulful, and deeply comforting. In that moment, I could vividly picture him in the kitchen, right down to the green-top salt shaker he always used. It stirred memories I hadn’t touched in years, and I found myself quietly moved at the table. Food rarely does that, and when it does, it’s profound.
Beyond that singular dish, every aspect of the meal was thoughtfully composed. The cooking honors Filipino flavors while elevating them with creativity and restraint—never overwrought, always intentional. Each plate felt personal, rooted, and confident.
The service matched the food: warm, attentive, and genuinely gracious. You feel cared for here, not just served.
Neng Jr. is not simply a restaurant—it’s a place where memory, culture, and craft intersect. An extraordinary dining experience that I wholeheartedly recommend.”

“Food was absolutely delicious. Cheese plate a vegan cheese lovers dream. Amazing service by Vic! She paid close mind to the nut allergy at our table and was very attentive and kind. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans alike! Save room for dessert!!!”

“We have visited once for dinner and once for breakfast and I have a tough time putting down my utensils. Dinner with 4 had tartar and mussels and calamari apps and all were perfect. I had the Gemelli pasta dish (gluten sensitive) and enjoyed the flavors. For breakfast I had the Benedict Hash. My mouth wants to marry that sauce. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, the sauce is bold with lemon and paprika and oh so delicious.”

“Happy hour: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm M - F
If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag.
The happy hour definitely made me want to come back for the full dinner menu! I will 100000% be back.”

“If visiting in winter, be aware that there are only like 8 indoor seats so you either hope to get lucky or get takeout. The arepa itself (not even talking about the toppings) is outstanding. The portion is generous so one order of arepa is enough for a meal (for me at least). Tasty nonalcoholic drink options.”

“My spouse and I ate here tonight and hands down our new favorite spot! Our server was amazing - very personable. We started with Samosas. For our entires we had Chicken Tikka Masala and Mom’s Chicken Curry with two orders of garlic naan bread. Hands down the best food we’ve ever had! If you get the Samosas, I recommend holding onto the two dipping sauces and dip the garlic naan in them! Chefs kiss 🙂 -Bailey and Payton (BP)”

“We were on our way through Asheville and found this little gem after our first choice was closed. Do glad we did. \n\nThey were quite full/busy but they fit us in and were very kind and gracious about it. \n\nThe entire experience was special. About four different staff members checked on us throughout our evening. \n\nTheir knowledge of the menu was incredible, and especially their very extensive wine list. \n\nWe started with their “Darling” bread and butter. Absolutely amazing. I would have been happy with just that. \n\nTheir offerings of different locally grown greens was amazing. \n\nWe had the lamb kebabs and rabbit pasta for our main. Our outstanding sever recommended two incredible wines to pair. \n\nAn incredible experience from start to finish.”

“Absolutely terrific. My wife and I come from Long Island, so we know our seafood. The mussels were amazing, a meal in themselves. My wife loved her octopus. I had fish and chips better than what I had in England. Friendly staff, great service. 10/10!”

“Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Lovely ambience in the space. It feels like the kitchen really cares about the food it brings out. One thing I particularly liked was how well all the dishes were seasoned. A bit of heat here, a bit of spice there, and a dash of sweet when needed. And speaking of sweet, the lemon curd cheesecake is a wonder. I love it when the cheesecake part of the cheesecake isn't oversweet. The lemon curd gives a sweet and tart compliment to the creaminess of the dairy in the dish. It's dangerous, I tell you! We'll be back for more.”

“Stopped in while visiting Asheville and it’s such a cool place. Great atmosphere and even greater treats. I had the gluten free chocolate cake and it was fantastic. So let’s text and so rich I had to take my time eating it. My husband got a shaved ice that was like nothing we’d ever had before., so refreshing and fun.”

“If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I took my husband here for his birthday dinner last night, & we definitely felt like we had a culinary experience! The drinks we spectacular & affordable. We did the chef tasting for dinner, & the staff made it like telling a story through food. Our server Jesse G was so personable, animated, made great recommendations, & very attentive to us the entire meal. Okay, so just about the food. We are total foodies, especially on a vacation/for a special occasion like this. We loved unqiue, tasty foods, & occasionally enjoy a more fine dining experience. Our meal at Ukiah was that & more! It was served in 10 small plate courses. They spaced each dish, timed them perfectly, & each dish built on the last in such a way that was truly amazing. Just when we thought the last one was our favorite, the next one was as good or better. The vanilla, almond, coconut cake with house ice cream finisher almost wrecked me lol! I could have licked the plate clean, but I was honestly too full to commit that hard. Every staff member that brought us a dish, refilled our drinks, cleared our table, etc were so friendly. Jesse (funny enough, also my husband's name & same spelling) was one of the best waiter's we've had, but also the kind of person you just want to be friends with after you eat & go hang out at the bar or something. It is definitely a higher end restaurant, but for the experience & service, it is well worth the money! We hope to return some day for sure!”

“The food was delicious. I had their tropical margarita, it was perfect, not too sweet just strong enough. My partner had their version of a whiskey sour which was yummy and different. We also got their wonton soup which had a bit of a kick but great flavor. The tom Kay soup was spicy and so flavorful. We got an order of their corn fritter things, pineapple fried rice, and pad Thai. Honestly recommend all of those dishes they were great! Rachel was our server and she took great care of us!”

“By far and away thr best subway I have been in lately. The staff was so friendly it was amazing. Food was good, they have the slightly older counter set up which I feel like has more topping choices, but that may be in my mind. Has traffic lights at both ends of shopping center which makes getting in and out during lunch hours much easier than I thought it would be.
Vegetarian options: My wife likes the veggie sub”
