“Shout out to you guys for keeping your doors open without power during the chaos today, 9/28/24. We had very limited water before you guys and you really came in to the rescue. Luckily after lots of searching we made it out and away from all of the destruction. Next time I hope we can meet on better terms so we can actually enjoy your shop. Thanks again.“

“We came in from out of town to relax and have a drink. I ordered coffee and my wife ordered a martini. We didn’t know that you weren’t able to have alcohol outside (although someone at another table had a martini as well). We had our dogs with us and we apologized profusely when the bar manager Victoria came outside and mentioned it. As we were gathering our things, we could hear her inside talking about how she’s tired of this “sh*t” , telling patrons at the bar. Initially we ignored it since we were trying to have a relaxing time in a new town. She kept on so I went in and asked if she was talking about us loud enough to where we can hear her outside! She apologized and said there are signs on the tables. First of all, there was one sign on a table that was written on what looked like a piece of paper and you could barely read the words. There was NO sign on our table and she said people take them off. I don’t like people insinuating that I’m doing something I didn’t do. We paid a 30 percent gratuity for the service we received and this is the treatment your customers receive?! Unbelievable! I told her it’s probably not in her best interest to insult and berate customers that are spending their hard earned money in your town.“

“Pretty decent spot. 100% a dive bar. Pretty small. Decent patio out back. Cash only - come on bar owner, don't make us suffer bc you cheat your taxes!! My only real complaint was that the beers on tap were a little flat and probably at the highest temperature that could still be considered "cool". Is luke cool a thing. If it's not, it should be - cause luke cool is really the best way I can think to describe it. I thought the prices were fair. And I was pleasantly surprised to even find a place in black mountain open past 9 or 10 on a Wednesday and still serving beer. I'd definitely go back if I had occasion again while in Black Mountain.“

“Went in alone to a shady dive bar!!! Welcomed with open arms! Great atmosphere, very Cheers like atmosphere, everyone knew everyone else. I was a stranger, but was introduced to everyone. Was shone around like a new friend! Such a happy atmosphere, no politics allowed.. it's a safe space!! Great prices, smoking allowed outside. Great place.“

“Had dinner with a group of friends. We all enjoyed our meals. Tuna nachos, pork belly and wings were very tasty to start the meal. The main dishes we had included the brick chicken, shrimp and grits and smash burger. We cleaned our plates…great flavors and taste! We would DEFINITELY go back!“

“First perk was plenty of parking. The whole location was very impressive upon walking in. All of the staff were great and happy to be there. This is different from the original Burial locations and they nailed the theme here. Plenty of great options to drink, including wine and mixed drinks. The food selection was good and mostly well priced. Our favorite part was exploring the property and it's rich history. So much room for gatherings big and small. Next time I would like to do a tour though.“

“Susan was a very nice server, I enjoyed the breakfast burrito. BUT!!! I’m super confused on how they can serve us food with metal silverware, such as a butter knife, when TSA just confiscated a butter knife from my baggage as I was coming in.“

“One of the few places left that uses quality meats and vegetables ! Also where you will leave with all your body parts and not feel like you've been robbed by their prices. Great family environment with excellent service. Where all us locals go....“

“I like eating here. The service is very good and the food is plentiful and delicious. The atmosphere is friendly, and I have yet to wait for a table because there are so many. This restaurant is quiet but with music. There is full service bar that is very nice. A good place to meet a friend for drink where you can talk.“

“Delicious burgers, friendly staff, and an inability to look down due to the breathtaking views in EVERY direction make Foothills Grange a mandatory stop when you visit Black Mountain.
Update: There are beautiful spring colors in BM, the fries are still amazing, and the place is very dog friendly.“

“They must have upped their game a bit because everything was actually pretty good this time. The chips n salsa chips were fresh and crispy and salty like they should be. Burger was good, some new items on the menu and most importantly, they seemed to be staffed somewhat as the entire restaurant was open.“

“Everyone was GREAT. However, the hostess went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice table and it was freshly clean. Our Server actually was working as the bartender and having several tables as well to serve and even though she was behind@ times because she had so many people to tale care of! We NEVER noticed because she made sure our food was correct ,to our satisfaction, our drinks were full ,as well made sure we had to go boxes. She also made sure that we had a good experience before we left .I hope the next time we go back we get the same people 💯“
