“July 2024. Marjie and I came into town for a drink. All the usual spots were packed. When we came across The Station there was live music, room at the bar, variety of beers and other , and cooling cross breeze. Marjie enjoyed the White Squirrel drink in honor of Z & L’s neighborhood mascot. Then we finished the evening driving around looking for a place to watch fireworks. There were thousands of people filling every parking lot lot like it was football tailgating night. Once it was dark, and 9:30, and still hot, but no fireworks - we just headed back to Montreat and watched them on TV with Lizzie and Grandparents.“

“Pretty decent spot. 100% a dive bar. Pretty small. Decent patio out back. Cash only - come on bar owner, don't make us suffer bc you cheat your taxes!! My only real complaint was that the beers on tap were a little flat and probably at the highest temperature that could still be considered "cool". Is luke cool a thing. If it's not, it should be - cause luke cool is really the best way I can think to describe it. I thought the prices were fair. And I was pleasantly surprised to even find a place in black mountain open past 9 or 10 on a Wednesday and still serving beer. I'd definitely go back if I had occasion again while in Black Mountain.“

“Went in alone to a shady dive bar!!! Welcomed with open arms! Great atmosphere, very Cheers like atmosphere, everyone knew everyone else. I was a stranger, but was introduced to everyone. Was shone around like a new friend! Such a happy atmosphere, no politics allowed.. it's a safe space!! Great prices, smoking allowed outside. Great place.“

“The best pizza we have ever had. We have been enjoying it for some time and had it when our parents came for a special occasion. My dad said "I have been on the planet 74 years and this is the best pizza I have ever had" (meat lovers, of course). I am glad I live close enough to enjoy it often!“

“Had dinner with a group of friends. We all enjoyed our meals. Tuna nachos, pork belly and wings were very tasty to start the meal. The main dishes we had included the brick chicken, shrimp and grits and smash burger. We cleaned our plates…great flavors and taste! We would DEFINITELY go back!“

“We went to dinner last night to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 90th Birthday and everything was spectacular! They gave us a corner table, every meal was just perfect, the cocktails delicious and the service was phenomenal! “First perk was plenty of parking. The whole location was very impressive upon walking in. All of the staff were great and happy to be there. This is different from the original Burial locations and they nailed the theme here. Plenty of great options to drink, including wine and mixed drinks. The food selection was good and mostly well priced. Our favorite part was exploring the property and it's rich history. So much room for gatherings big and small. Next time I would like to do a tour though.“

“Susan was a very nice server, I enjoyed the breakfast burrito. BUT!!! I’m super confused on how they can serve us food with metal silverware, such as a butter knife, when TSA just confiscated a butter knife from my baggage as I was coming in.“

“I like eating here. The service is very good and the food is plentiful and delicious. The atmosphere is friendly, and I have yet to wait for a table because there are so many. This restaurant is quiet but with music. There is full service bar that is very nice. A good place to meet a friend for drink where you can talk.“

“From Florida and stopped in on the way to our hotel. My wife and I were very pleased. The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were good and fairly priced. Definitely would recommend for the small town feel.“

“They must have upped their game a bit because everything was actually pretty good this time. The chips n salsa chips were fresh and crispy and salty like they should be. Burger was good, some new items on the menu and most importantly, they seemed to be staffed somewhat as the entire restaurant was open.“

“My order was delivered so I can't rate "atmosphere". My steak was supposed to be med but was burnt on one side...I ate it though, it didn't taste horrible. The white mac n cheese was very salty but I hadn't eaten all day so I guess it wasn't that bad...the delivery girl, Savanna, was great...“
