“Found this place on our day trip to Cape Hatteras.. Would definitely make the trip just to come eat here again! Best Shrimp po boy I have had and my husband had blackened fish of the day tacos. I had a bite and was amazing!!! Definitely worth the trip. We will definitely be back!! The service weather also excellent!! Very nice staff.“

“Ate there on my birthday. May 22. Food was great. I had the sheepshead and my husband had the oysters. Chloe, our waitress was wonderful. She treated us to a bowl of the famous chowder and chocolate cake. We loved it so much until we stopped on the way to the ferry and bought some frozen. Everything we ate was perfect..“

“While at the OBX for our annual family vacation, we visited the CC for dinner. Always the best! The raw oysters were the best we ever had and the mignonette sauce excellent. Bring back the scallop puffs! See you next summer!“

“Honestly one of the most underrated places to eat in OBX. My wife and I most always make it a point to eat at Fatty’s. The food is fantastic and the staff have always been alert and friendly. Truthfully a great place to eat!“

“This was our second time here but with more family and it did not disappoint. This was our last night of our vacation. Staff was friendly, our waitress was on it. Best service. Food and drinks were great. Live music was awesome. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.“

“Don’t miss out on this spot. Limited hours so make it a priority! Easily some of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. My husband had a phenomenal fried flounder sandwich (perfect, light batter) & we loved the fries. I love places like this. Simple, kind, and DELICIOUS!“
“These guys really know what they're doing! On and off like clockwork. Very pleasant trip. A little wait to board from Hatteras, but made all the better with the shops around to peruse. Coming back, hardly a wait at all. We just missed the ferry, and only had to wait about 30 minutes to board.“

“My words will not do this place justice. This place is a must-go on Hatteras Island. Trust me, you will be back. Owners Joel and Jess are some fantastic people and they have a great spot in Hatteras Landing. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a drink, some food and fun! Love this place and the people that run it very much!“

“I am so glad to see the opened up again. I feel like the place should be on a boardwalk, i mean that in a good way. The fish sandwich I had was absolutely delicious - better than expected for sure. There are a few tables and a small indoor bar, a bunch of outside picnic tables, and a small outside bar (facing inside). It was nice and I will go back.“

“I've come to the Outer Banks for years and heard of Pops. By the outside it doesn't seem like much, but my wife and I went in and WOW. My first opinion was dead wrong. Wait staff were friendly. It was packed but the food came out quickly. I went with the fried shrimp dinner and I left a full, happy man. One last detail...holy cow that cocktail sauce was spot on! You can tell it's home made. Good stuff here!“

“Hubby and I stopped to grab dinner on the way back to our rental. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, the staff were friendly and efficient. The prices were very reasonable and when we got back to our rental and opened our containers we were blown away by how big the burgers were and the very generous portion of fries. The food was delicious, you definitely get your money’s worth. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out.“

“I’ve been coming there every year since they were a smaller shop. This was the first year I was dissatisfied. My husband can’t stomach pickles, they put them on his sandwich after he asked them not to, the receipt showed the request. However when it came it had pickles. I sent it back, I know 100% they just took them off and gave it back within 3 minutes, so I complained and requested a new sandwich. They acted like they were mad at ME?! Excuse me, please do better. Sincerely a devoted customer, who will be back because the owner deserves another chance.“

“We went to the closest DQ by our rented beach house for a treat. This DQ team worked amazingly well together! By the time I paid for my order, it was ready! Then my friend ordered her treat and before our next friend could order, hers was done! Then, our other friend got his treats really fast also! This place was so very busy but they were like a well oiled machine! I’m very impressed by their teamwork, professionalism, and great customer service!“
