“This was our second time here but with more family and it did not disappoint. This was our last night of our vacation. Staff was friendly, our waitress was on it. Best service. Food and drinks were great. Live music was awesome. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.“

“I’ve been coming there every year since they were a smaller shop. This was the first year I was dissatisfied. My husband can’t stomach pickles, they put them on his sandwich after he asked them not to, the receipt showed the request. However when it came it had pickles. I sent it back, I know 100% they just took them off and gave it back within 3 minutes, so I complained and requested a new sandwich. They acted like they were mad at ME?! Excuse me, please do better. Sincerely a devoted customer, who will be back because the owner deserves another chance.“

“Hubby and I stopped to grab dinner on the way back to our rental. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, the staff were friendly and efficient. The prices were very reasonable and when we got back to our rental and opened our containers we were blown away by how big the burgers were and the very generous portion of fries. The food was delicious, you definitely get your money’s worth. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out.“

“The young man working all alone tonight was amazing. I didn’t get his name, but dark hair and foreign accent. There were probably 20 people in line when we arrived. He served each of them efficiently and with a smile. When we were up to order, the owner decided to show up and take over. Fine, except that when he did, he started berating the young employee for “getting into this situation”. The only situation was the fact that he was left alone with a large volume of customers. We were really turned off by the owner’s behavior.“

They are well priced, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the restaurant is clean with a fun atmosphere. Buxton Munch has been our favorite lunch stop for many years and is consistently our most recommended eatery on the OBX.“

“Ate there on my birthday. May 22. Food was great. I had the sheepshead and my husband had the oysters. Chloe, our waitress was wonderful. She treated us to a bowl of the famous chowder and chocolate cake. We loved it so much until we stopped on the way to the ferry and bought some frozen. Everything we ate was perfect..“

“I've come to the Outer Banks for years and heard of Pops. By the outside it doesn't seem like much, but my wife and I went in and WOW. My first opinion was dead wrong. Wait staff were friendly. It was packed but the food came out quickly. I went with the fried shrimp dinner and I left a full, happy man. One last detail...holy cow that cocktail sauce was spot on! You can tell it's home made. Good stuff here!“
