My husband had the shrimp and grits, I had seafood pasta , and my daughter had the kids chicken fingers and fries. We added two side salads. Dinner came w rolls and hush puppies. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS.the staff was soosweet, accommodating and supportive. The restaurant was beautiful and charming. We plan to go back again“
“We sat on the back deck and the view was stunning!!! The food was good. I got broiled scallops which were fine. Not bad at all but not the best I've ever had for sure. I actually was very impressed with the mixed veggies and will try and recreate them at home because they were delicious. All of my kids ordered from the kids menu and there were no complaints. Fries were very good. My husband had the fish sandwich and said it was also fine. Tarter sauce was excellent!“
“Exactly what you want from a beach grill. Good fresh options, friendly staff and lots of space for capacity. As a local, this is definitely one of my favorite off-season locations. They have a local discount also, which is helpful.I've been multiple times and I believe that the Caesar salad here is among the best on the island. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Also they recycle their oyster shells, which is really great for the environment. Thanks to the North Carolina Coastal foundation for being so wonderful.“
“This was a local favorite diner type restaurant. We had the regular egg, breakfast meat grits or hash browns with biscuit or toast. The portion sizes are generous. The biscuits are large but just ok. They have plenty of options including omelets and lunch specials.Parking: This restaurant is in a shopping center and has plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: They cater to families.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access but the entrance is narrow and they encourage customers to wait outside so there is no overcrowding.“
“"Just hoe your own row and raise your own babies Smoke your own smoke and grow your own daisies Mend your own fences and own your own crazy Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy" (Kacey Musgraves) What you'll see here: A gas station A big rack of porno magazines A food counter with fresh biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, deli meats and sandwiches Fried Chicken Mac & Cheese Beer & Wine A big convenience store A Playboy magazine with Donald Trump on the cover on display right next to the sign that says "Sexual Harassment will not be reported, but efforts will be graded" Biscuits N' Porn swag We picked up two biscuits for lunch and they were dirt cheap at a buck each.“
“While visiting the OBX, my wife had a taste for fried chicken. We found the Cookshak while conducting a Google search and figured we would give it a try. The chicken was moist and Juicy inside but crunchy on the exterior. The seasoning on the coating was extremely tasty. I have eaten many pieces of fried chicken in my lifetime, but this was definitely one of the best pieces that I have ever consumed. I enjoyed the chicken so much that we purchased a "whole bird" to take back home with us. We will definitely return when we visit the OBX again.“
“We were looking for a place to grab a quite bite for lunch. When we got there we were greeted by a wonderful server who got our drinks very quickly. All the food options looked delicious especially the burgers. The food arrived quickly and my Irish bbq burger was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the table was very impressed with their food. I cater so i consider myself somewhat of a food critic and everything i tasted was phenomenal. The flavors blended together very well. Will definitely be back and recommend to all my friends that visit the outer banks!“
“This classic Southern joint seems to be packed all year, regardless of beach season or not! Warm welcome, military and veteran discount, super friendly smiling waiters and waitresses! Ours was a superstar super pretty waitress, with an art museum's worth of tatts on her arms, a smile on her face, and always checking up on her tables. We were there for breakfast and were not disappointed! I had eggs, corned beef hash, pancakes, and grits (of course!). It was huge, and I couldn't believe how affordable! Also had a side of hush puppies, which were delicioso! They also have a full bar on the premises, and there's plenty of free parking off the main drag on Nags Head.“
“My favorite place in Nags Head NC. “From the Boston area, spending Jan & Feb in Kills Devil Hills. Read good reviews and stopped in for dinner. We sat at the bar had a beer and ordered the tuna entree with Brussel sprouts, red pepper risotto, and an order of fried oysters. All were excellent! Highly recommend.“
“I had the best tuna steak of my life. The tea wasn't as sweet as I would personally like it, but it wasn't bitter. The portion sizes were fairly priced and the fish was incredibly fresh. Our waitress was very kind and gave us space to enjoy our meal. 10/10 definitely recommend going if you're going to Nags “
“Snow Bird Burgers & Cones is the best place to eat at the OBX!! Awesome food and delicious ice cream!! Staff is friendly and eager to please!! The owner is on site and a wonderful addition to the overall cozy and comfortable feeling you get when you go there!! Absolutely the best fried chicken sandwich anywhere!! We visit this place a few times when we visit the OBX!! Best place ever!!“
“OMG! was joking with the owner tonight while I was in to pick up our 1st pizza from here that we haven't found a great pizza in OBX. WELL NOW WE HAVE FOUND THE BEST! The crust was absolutely amazing! I am picky about sauces and this sauce was the best ever. Cannot recommend enough!“
