“These are the best Apple fritters (if you can even call them that) on the planet and I’ll fight you on it. They’re as dense as a bowling ball and they’re filled with what tastes like granny’s homemade apple pie filling. If it was all they sold, they’d be worth of 5 stars. But everything else is great too. If you’re anywhere on the Outer Banks, this place is worth the trip.“
“My large family and I visited the Cockeyed Clam during our holiday stay at the Outer Banks. There were 18 of us including 2 young children. We were quickly accommodated despite the size of our group. The waitstaff was excellent. Our drink and appetizer orders were taken almost immediately. Appetizers ordered included flash fried Brussel sprouts, oysters, and shrimp. They were all delicious. I especially enjoyed the brussell sprouts. They were cooked to perfection, not greasy at all, served on a delicious bed of shredded cabbage and carrots and served with a super yummy dressing. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot when we got it. Everyone loved their entrees. I am not a seafood lover so I ordered the Tuscan Chicken on pasta- it was creamy, flavorful, the chicken was tender and moist and the portion was generous. Enough that it made a fabulous lunch for the next day. Many of us ordered the specialty cocktail, so yummy that many were ordered! We will definitely be returning on our next visit to the area.“
“What a great hidden gem. From the outside it looks like a dive but on the inside you will find great food. My buddy says the best hamburger he ever had. Me, I get the fish sandwich of the day. Reasonable prices and great drinks. Don't pass Pops up.“

“Really good food and good service. The restaurant is small but packs a ton of flavor. We enjoyed our appetizer nachos. They were unique and very tasty. I loved my pizza. It was so good. It had Pesto sauce and bacon, sausage and pulled pork. My whole family enjoyed their meals and we will definitely return.“

“Emme and I used Kats Deli to cater our wedding reception on the Mrs Hatteras boat (also amazing). They did a great job making the food easy to eat on the boat, and it was fantastic even after having to wait a bit due to some timing complications. We got a mix of a lot of sandwiches, but I will say for our group The Charlie was the group favorite, though the Jurassic pork was close behind for me. We plan to make Hatteras a regular trip at this point and I can guarantee we will be stopping by Kats when we get the chance again.“

“First of all, Laura was an amazing waitress. Very attentive, great recommendations, amazing personality. The food was delicious and the plates were hearty including appetizers. We ordered the seafood nachos and scallop and mahi pasta. Both were so good and easily fed 2 people. Drinks were smooth and went down easy. Oceanas Bistro has my highest recommendation.“
“We had a group of 12 during the off season. No wait for seating. The waiter was nice and competent. I didn't even mind the 18% gratuity, because of the large party. However, it would have been nice if they could have split up the check between the parties. It also would have been nice if they had offered dessert.“
“Our favorite lunch spot since we began vacationing in the Outer Banks around a decade ago! The food is always consistent(ly amazing), the staff is super friendly and attentive and you never are in need of something. Decor is super funky and there is no shortage of things to look at! We love the fish tacos, shrimp and corn chowder, and the house-made tuna salad! We try to get there early as this places gets PACKED as the shift goes on, especially as more families head off the beaches to look for food. But if you do have to wait for a table, it is super worth it!!!!“
