“I have been a big fan of Mo’s Pizza for years. Today I tried some other menu options and was completely blown away. The pasta and marinara are excellent. The vegetables are well prepared and fresh. They are not heavily sauced but rely on their natural flavor. The roasted potatoes were exceptional. Service was very friendly, prompt and professional. A real plus is being able to get a first rate meal without having to sit in traffic for an hour. Plenty of free parking more bonus points! Highly recommended!“

We got the 2/5$ hotdogs and they were delicious. Given the wait time (nothing crazy), you can tell they make the hotdogs as they're being ordered and not having the dogs sit until someone buys one.

It's a great little place to stop by for something quick and on the go. Will definitely visit this place again.“

“An agreeable place for lunch. A small menu with a versatile variety. I enjoyed the flounder basket. This came with a fair sized fillet. I opted for the batter dipped over the breaded and fried. This was accompanied by some delicious crispy fries and a tasty portion of Cole slaw. A nicely prepared meal for lunch. Our waitress Angela was exuberant with a great sense of humor. Overall a good recommendation from the boys at the turtle conservatory. So a shout out and thank you to them also.

“Ah, the Veranda has been a local secret spot for years. Their staff is unmatched to any other place I have found. The view from the back patio on to the large driving range is spectacular. If you have never been, go see what it's all about. You will love it!“

“the best freshest widest varieties of cheese's. and much more. i love getting my feta cheese stuffed olives and hot sauce here. they have a wide variety of cute little cocktail pickles too. they have fresh bagels too and Sandwiches. “I feel the need to review this place since I had suspicions, but then they were false because it was actually good, and other websites like Yelp and TripAdvisor may not tell you to go there. Horizons is a great/good seafood restaurant located in the Bald Head Island Club. I love the golf carts, and good thing they had a parking space for them- which was meant to keep them from being too hot since it was covered by a roof. The elevator is very unique: you step in one one side, and you go out the other once you're there. Originally I thought it'd be like the sign on the front (that kind of restaurants judging from it), but it wasn't. It looked better than that. We sat outside with a party of 7, and our server was the myth, the (wo)man, the legend: Taylor. She was very nice and lightened the atmosphere for us. Whenever it was too sunny, she didn't mind the whole switching the entire seating of the table around kind of thing. She is very comical, too. Anyways, for appetizers, our table got the Crab Dip and a Pub Pretzel. I do not know what was in that crab dip (except crab), but HOLY SMOKES THAT WAS INCREDIBLE. It reminded me of some other dish, and I loved it. Pretzel was also good. For entrees, our table ordered 2 things of chicken tenders, buffalo wings, a caesar salad (maybe a different one), a Cape Fear burger, the shrimp or scallop risotto (i couldn't remember since I'm writing this the day after the meal), and the pan-seared Halibut. The food was good, but not amazing. For Bald Head standards, I'll give this a 5 star. For my regular standards, I'll give it a 4.
Also, I believe the seagulls raided some table at the far back. Although that happened, it was pretty funny to me.“

“Great atmosphere, decor and dining furnishings. Hot rods and historical pics from the area in the fifties. Came in for early lunch and had no issue with table. Food came out at a reasonable time for being made to order.
Plenty of food options. We tried the phillies, burgers and fried shrimp. Fried okra was fresh and crispy, French fries were fresh and nicely seasoned and cold macaroni salad was straight from grandmas cookbook. Fried Oreos and the flavor infused soft serve was a hit with the family.
Service was top notch.
As others noted parties of 5 or more a tip is automatically included (sign on hostess stand) and as with other local restaurants, the fee for credit card use is passed along to the customer. Spent about $30 pp.
parking is easy to find, but quite pricey $20 for 2 hours for the lot behind the restaurant.

“Been going here for years love this place! I ordered take out last week. I ordered it from another location by accident. I drove up thinking everything was good. They said they didn't have my order. Oh no I ordered from the other store. I was 1000 percent wrong. They graciously fix it no problem. I offered to pay for the other location food. They said no. They make my order in record time. I was shocked. They handled my mistake so well. Thank you very much!“
