“Today we had a hard/stressful day my whole family of 5 were starving and decided to stop in for food. The lady at counter was nice and caring, treating us as if we were her own family. Everyone else made sure we were being helped and so friendly. It was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. Best part was the food. Everything we got was delicious but the BBQ Fries were on point, none left just empty trays. We will be making more trips back just to eat at the Switzerland Cafe and it’s over an hour drive but worth it. Also we had our dog and they offered a water bowl for him as well as 2 medium dog biscuits. 5 Stars all the way!“

“Countryside is one of our favorite restaurants in Marion! We moved here last winter and every time we visit, the service is quick and the food is hot and fresh. We love that we never have to wait or ask for the check, they leave it every single time on the table so you can check out up front whenever you’re done eating. They always check on us when our food is delivered to make sure we have everything we need and often the servers are mind readers and bring a side of ranch and gravy when they deliver my chicken tenders & ask if I’d like either. I don’t have to ask them and wait for them to bring it to me. Not often do many restaurant do this so it stood out to me! I also love that they leave a pitcher of the beverage you order on the table so that if you’re engaging with friends or family, we can help ourselves to refills and they don’t have to worry about interrupting a party or neglecting them. As a couple who has spent years in hospitality and the service industry, we absolutely appreciate all of the thoughtfulness that goes into their day to day and will always keep coming back for the great food & service!“

“I hadn’t been to Bruce’s in several years. I had heard that Bruce had passed away, and I wondered if the restaurant was still the excellent place that I remembered. It is! I had a mushroom Swiss burger with cream of cabbage soup on the side. Outstanding! Also, one of the neat things that I always appreciated about eating at Bruce’s was how he would always come out and socialize with customers. Of course, he can no longer do that. But one of his cooks, Chad, has stepped into that role, it seems. He came out to see if everything was okay and we talked about desserts (one is included with the meal). He gave me some good advice and allowed me to sample a couple of different pieces of cake. I ended up with an upgraded dessert (blueberry walnut cheese cake) and a piece of Hawaiian fruit cake to take home for Susanne. Chad has learned the lesson that Bruce intuitively understood. People like to do business with people. Chad made the lunch more than just a transactional experience where he gave me food and I gave him money. Instead, it was someone sharing what they loved to do (cook food) with someone who appreciated it and wanted as more than happy to pay for it. Not coincidentally, I also ended up spending more money than planned because I appreciated the experience. There’s a lesson to be learned here. Thanks to Bruce’s Fabulous Foods, and to Chad, for a great lunch.“

“Normally very good food, and service but tonight ordered my useual pineapple acp to go, it was late granted about 9:15 but took the food home and not even one chunk of pineapple! it ruined my meal!“

“we ordered food from Pepperoni's today, the second time this week,I wanted pasta so I got the spaghetti,as always our food got here fast,and was still nice and hot, the sauce was delicious but the meatballs on the spaghetti were awesome,tasted like actual homemade meatballs im thinking that they are my go to for a pasta fix from now on!!“

“It is fairly decent Tex-Mex food. Not overly spicy, the fajitas are really good, I am more of a steak fajita person, and the lady I usually take there is a diehard ACP person....never even LOOKS at the menu, just gets the Arroz Con Pollo ( rice with chicken.) My mom was born in San Antonio, so I grew up eating good homemade texmex. For me Las Salsas is a little milder than I make at home, but for most people, it is EXACTLY what they think of when somebody says Mexican food! AND...the portions are BIG! I will get two ir 3 meals out of a dinner there! Really good value for your dollars!“

“I don’t know exactly why, but the chicken quesadillas at this location are so much better and fresher tasting than my usual Cook-Out! And the sweet tea is so far the best I’ve had in Marion. The bbq sandwich is heads and shoulders above the BBQ Hut down the road, too. I said what I said!“
