“I reached out to DTR in South Park for a birthday dinner for 13 last minute, anticipating that they likely would not be able to accommodate a group that big that close to the event. Not only did Rachel, their events coordinator, squeeze us onto their calendar for our preferred time, but she also was able to get us in a semi-private room, which was a wonderful surprise!

Everything about our experience there was fantastic - the cocktails were amazing, the food was incredible (everything was delicious, but the Brussels sprouts were insane!), the ambiance was so fun, and our server, Trent, went above and beyond.

I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough! I absolutely will be coming back again and again.“

“I celebrated my birthday at Carolinas oyster bar last night. The hostess advised a table for two wait time was about an hour. I said okay, she responded back do you want to be added to the wait list? I said okay. She said she didn’t know if I wanted to wait! As we waited we had drinks at the bar, the bartender made a strawberry lemon drop, the best! Calamari and oysters for appetizers. I also ordered a lobster and shrimp roll! It was so delicious second bite I had three pieces of a lobster shell! Anthony was our waiter, I called him over he was in shock and said let me get my manager. Manager came over, I showed him the three pieces of the shell. He said that’s a possibility when they take the lobster out of the shell. No apology was provided, no offer to compensate the experience I had. I didn’t request a manager the waiter thought his manager would resolve the matter. Even though the manager offered to get me something else. I was nervous to get another meal especially when I run a risk for this to happen again. He said happy birthday enjoy your night. The managers response lacked empathy, poor customer service, I don’t care you will not be the first or last customer that this will happen to. In the back of my mind I wondered if I was a different race besides black would his response be the same?! The food was a ten even though I wasn’t able to eat and enjoy the lobster roll.“

“My second time at The Capital Grille was just as good as my first experience. We started our dinner with the Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes and the Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers. I absolutely devoured the Calamari and the addition of the hot pepper was something I didn’t realize any of my previous calamari experiences were missing until now. For my entree I enjoyed the Seared Sea Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto. It was great and creamy but I regretted not getting a steak. We finished out meal with the The Capital Grille Cheesecake and the Classic Crème Brûlée. Both were divine and easily the best cheesecake and crème brûlée that I’ve had. The crust on the cheesecake was absolutely fantastic and the crème brûlée had an excellent crust with a heavenly vanilla flavor. My favorite parts of the meal were the starters and the dessert. I’d absolutely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.“

“I haven't been here in awhile due to most times when I walk in I am greeted with a nonchalant how can we help you. Yesterday (11/29/24) I walked in and Gracie greeted me with a smile and inner joy that truly said she was happy to be there working and ready to help her customers. Good Coffee, Please get Coconut milk for those that really can't have the other kinds of milk. Also Almond milk takes away the flavor of coffee for those of you who truly love the coffee taste. Give Gracie a raise. She was awesome!!! I do hope I remembered her name correctly

Dietary restrictions: Whole milk is best for coffee's but not everyone can have it, ironically sometimes oat milk is not best for diets either(such as me)-even thought it is good. Almond milk to me just doesn't taste good in coffee.
Coconut milk is a great alternative to whole milk, yes it doesn't froth as well, but I don't think your place does the cute pictures for the latte's.“

“I stumbled upon Exotica at an India Food Festival in Charleston, SC. I’ve been on an Indian Food kick so I had to go see what this festival had to offer. Exotica had an impressive spread of food that was well displayed esthetically and from a food quality and safely standpoint. I’m a kitchen manager and caterer so that stands out and matters to me. They had the longest of a lot of long lines which told me it should be good. I was right. It was top notch. They far exceeded my expectations for the event. I didn’t know what most of the menu was so I looked everything up while I waited and made a list on my hand. My favorites of what I chose were the Samosa Chat, Onion Samosa and the Madurai Malli Dosa. Everything was amazing though. Sooo many flavors!! I’ll definitely be going to their restaurant the next time I’m near Charlotte. 10000% Now that I look at the full menu I see so much more that I need to try. Definitely a happy little accident finding this gem. 20/10 recommend :)“

“3rd leg of the night. Really nice lounge/bar with ample seating. Food selections are ok. The Mexican fries were kind of disappointing, and so was the flatbread, but meh the drink were nicely balanced. Ambience was kicking. Music choice was a mix of urban/2000s/club/blends and remixes. Some people dressed nice, other like it was a college game day. Meh. CLT is sometimes classy, sometimes trashy..it is what it is.“

Parking: I always go in the garage there’s never any spaces in the lot.

Kid-friendliness: It’s a wine bar, not as much. There is lovely outdoor seating I’m not sure how strict they are.“

“This location is good in a spot with other options as well the pizza was BIG and SO good. I got the ricotta pie. Amazing if you like simple but the herbs made it. People were very nice and the inside was nice enough to want to dine in for a lunch date.“

“A mystery. Outstanding ambiance, looks and feels like nice casual cafes we ate at in Milan and Tuscany. Once inside can't believe it's in an outdoor mall in NC. Friendly service. Chicken marsala with mushrooms as good as it gets. Hearts of palm salad not on many menus but was delightful. The customers seemed to be enjoying a relaxed, quality dining experience without the pretense of a fancy place or buzz of a large busy place. The mystery-why was it only half full on a Friday night?“

“We went to Dressler’s tonight for my husband’s Birthday. We had never been but wanted to try it since we loved their old Dogwood concept. Michelle was our waitress and truly made the evening so special. She was so knowledgeable around the menu and so attentive and fun. The food was exceptional. I had the waygu flank special and he had the 16oz ribeye. The shrimp appetizer was a great way to start and the apple crisp was a perfect ending to the meal. We were so excited to see the manager from the old Dogwood concept working there. She is so great too. Thank you for having such an amazing space that can make nights so memorable.“

“Excellent service is a rare thing to find these days, but the Southpark manager, Sharon, and our server, Allie (sorry if misspelled) hit it out of the park Monday night. I had a crazy request, and she and Allie not only fulfilled it, they exceeded my expectations and we had a PERFECT date night evening. The food and the wine were amazing, and I will definitely go back again even if just for the truffled cheddar! It's exactly the kind of place you go when you want to chill, visit, and enjoy a nice glass of wine.“

“We had such a good time at Room Service last weekend. The weather was perfect for sitting outside on their patio. We started with cocktails and they did not disappoint. The French fries with brisket was so good I could have eaten two... but my friends made me share!! The sandwiches were yummy too. We finished off with a decadent browned butter vanilla cheese cake with a cinnamon cream on top. All in all, it was a great meal in a fun atmosphere. We'll be back.“
