“I dropped in on a whim and ended up having hot pot!

Chengdu classic spicy broth, premium beef, vegetable assortment, spam, shrimp paste, and potatoes.

First off, the “vegetable medley” was mostly lettuce. If I wanted lettuce I could have just ordered lettuce for 1/3 the price. Don’t get this.

The rest was great. They were out of quail eggs, unfortunately. The portions were pretty large - lots of spam. The premium beef was a little pricey for the quantity but I loved the fattiness and flavour. The shrimp paste was generous. The serving utensils it came with were novel to me.

The server seemed very concerned about my ordering of the medium spicy broth. It was spicy, but quite tolerable.

It was a very Asian place. I didn’t feel English was first priority but I managed to switch the tablet to English and that helped.

This place is basically an edible science experiment in the best possible way. Every bite is different because you get to create your own flavor combinations, so your taste buds never know what’s coming next.

We ordered the Angus steak, pork belly (and then immediately ordered more pork belly because apparently self-control isn’t on the menu), shrimp, and lamb. I’ve never been a lamb person because of that slightly gamey flavor, but he insists it’s incredible. As for me? The steak and pork belly absolutely stole the show.

Now here’s the life-changing tip you didn’t know you needed: take that complimentary miso sauce and use it as a marinade for the steak and pork belly. You’re welcome. I briefly considered asking for a cup to take home and drink with a straw.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we finished with the ice cream cups that unlocked childhood memories we forgot we had.

First of all, they came the day before to introduce themselves, make sure they knew the location to park the truck so there would be no delay, and they had enough people on hand to take care of the staff in a quick orderly fashion. On the day of our event, they showed up one hour early, staff filtered out and they served 111 people in an hour. The food was wonderful, Romero was so kind. “I had a great overall experience visiting LongHorn Steakhouse in Raleigh, NC. There was about a 35-minute wait for a table, but it was worth it. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, making it easy to carry on a conversation. For an appetizer, I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Spinach Dip. My meal was the 20 oz Outlaw Ribeye with a Caesar salad and crispy Brussels sprouts, and everything was delicious! It was a wonderful dining experience, and I will definitely come back whenever I am in town again.“
