“This place is absolute FIRE! I always get the large chicken and vegetables with extra yum yum sauce and it makes my whole week better. I’m obsessed! Highly suggest getting your nails done at top polish nails then walking next door to teriyakin it’s an unmatched “
“Worst meat I ever had. Charged $56 for 4 LB and said it’s baby goat back leg. But it’s mixed old goat. They clearly says they only sell baby goat , but you will realize once you take meat from them.I appreciate their very quick response and agreed to replace the order“
“I love this place, doing the summer I would go there a lot if I am going somewhere or I don’t want to cook, well this is my favorite place to get my chicken. From, the people there is so nice , but there is a manager that works there he is so Sweet, very good gentlemen he takes very good care of his customers,Thank you so much for being so generous..Parking: Morrisville NC, you can park right there at the RestaurantKid-friendliness: I always have my grandson with me and we never have any problems they are always so nice, sweet people, I just love their personality“
“Worth the drive from Greensboro. Ordered the Texas trinity. Best brisket I’ve ever had. Ribs were tender and amazing. The sausages had a great spice to them. Ordered some turkey as well and it was tender and juicy. Sides were all great as well particularly the brussel sprouts with bacon. Saw these guys on YouTube and had to try them. Will definitely be back. Best bbq in NC !“
“Please bring the Jerk Turkey Tacos back! My go-to is always the Baht Mi sandwich but this special caught my eye and boy am I glad I tried it. I haven't found an amazing jerk dish in the triangle but this knocked my socks off! I hope I'll see it again. Easily a top contender on the menu!“
“This food was well worth the wait! We have named them the best food truck to come to Roxboro. Grab the seasoned platter, banana pudding, and succotash..no disappointment! Sorry, we ate it all so fast and only have empty plate pictures to share, lol“
“Our favorite small Korean grocery in Raleigh. Great selection that is well-organized plus an AMAZING authentic restaurant with traditional home cooked food. They also have a corndog truck and Bungeo-ppang station with some bakery items as well. Upstairs is a perfect-sized Kpop store with awesome staff and a friendly vibe.“
“Great selection of southern foods with an elevated twist. Sure to please the die-hard barbecue lover but with touches that will win new fans. Side items are popular. The fries are plentiful. Raw oyster fans will be pleased. You’ll be planning your next trips to try the items you missed and to enjoy new favorites“
“Good Korean bbq place. $35 on the weekend for unlimited meats, veggies , and appetizers. There was no wait for my group of four on a Saturday afternoon. I LOVED the garlic shrimp, that was the only protein I had that I wanted to get more of. I also LOVED the fried chicken wings , they had the perfect fry. The kimchi was not very good to me. The service was very nice, they helped us cook a lot and replaced our grilled plenty of times. I would return for more garlic shrimp and strawberry soju !“
“The food is ok. While I’d say it’s authentic, it’s an authentic representation of decent, but not great, Chinese BBQ.They ask if you want it spicy or not, but the spiciness level doesn’t really register. We asked them to bring the next batch more spicy, but it was still pretty mild.“
“I’m in love with this restaurant. The food is amazing, and the staff is so polite and helpful if you have questions. I’ve never been disappointed! You will get a LOT of food, no matter what you order, so come hungry. If you get there for lunch try the Seol Chicken or Kimchi Stew!“
“Stephanie Food Truck was amazing! First of all, they came the day before to introduce themselves, make sure they knew the location to park the truck so there would be no delay, and they had enough people on hand to take care of the staff in a quick orderly fashion. On the day of our event, they showed up one hour early, staff filtered out and they served 111 people in an hour. The food was wonderful, Romero was so kind. The price, well let's just say - I was very pleased at the discount he offered and we WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN! Thank you Stephanie Food Truck, for a great experience, amazing food, fast service and gracious communication.DanielaNHS“
“Grabbed some wings and dumplings for lunch. The wings are spectacular. Perfectly crisp, sweet, savory....a total home run! The dumplings were good but the dipping sauce was a little salty, I like it a little sweeter. Bonus for the free sample of kimchi, really nice!“
“Great little hole in the wall family restaurant! They were highly recommended to me by a coworker from the Cleveland county area. I highly recommend them too! They have two different sauces but I didn’t try them. The bbq was so good it didn’t need any sauce! The Brunswick stew, coleslaw and banana pudding was great too! The staff is super friendly and treat you like you’re a regular.“
“The food was sooo delicious! If you like bbq you won’t be disappointed. I usually prefer beef ribs, but these pork ribs were seasoned to perfection. The location was clean which I appreciate, and the staff was friendly and I did not feel rushed trying to order for a large party. The most important thing to me was the service. The owner/pit master and the other employees serving us was so kind and accommodating. We felt right at home having a good meal with good people. We left full and happy. We prefer this location of Dickeys as an after church lunch.(Photo of the little bit of food left)“
“A fried seafood and barbecue place where you come in, place your order and pay at the counter, and seat yourself indoors or out. The food was served on a tray, and condiments and drinks are self serve at the counter. Our seafood was ok, portions were plentiful. The homemade banana pudding dessert was a disappointment, not a banana to be found. We didn’t try the barbecue and smoked meats but they smelled wonderful. Pupper friendly outside.“
“Service is always friendly and prompt. Customer base feels like a lot of locals but it is a good mix of people. Great wings. Nice place to have a beer too. It can be busy at times but they handle it. I've been here a dozen times and I have never had a bad experience.“
“Love this place for some rapid fast and dank Korean BBQ bowls. Kinda like chipotle with the style of service/food presentation but double the quantity and double the speed of getting the food to you. Was some super dank stuff, a little more pricey than a typical chipotle chicken bowl though. Nicely cooked and delicious kimchi. This place definitely hit the spot, but if you’re looking for spicy, even the spiciest items here are tolerable to a non-spicy tolerant person. Should definitely amp up the spice level on the spice dishes.“
“The server was extremely helpful and attentive, answering all questions and checking in on us repeatedly. The beef bulgolgi (regular and spicy), chicken bulgolgi (regular and garlic), garlic samgyupsal, and gocgujang bulgogi were amazing. The fried dumplings weren't that good, but everything else was so delicious. I love that they use cast iron grills instead of metal. They're so much easier to cook on and you don't have to change them out as much because the meat doesn't stick.“
“Absolutely amazing food and service with a warm comforting environment. The food was outstanding but had limited options. When we naively assumed the egg side was already cooked and added it to our soup late they offered to recook our soup just so we could safely eat it still. Stunning service and great personality to the staff who helped us. From what they did have we had an amazing dinner and an even better experience! 10/10 would recommend for someone looking for a “New and Refreshing Experience”“
“They are only open for lunch because they are that good. It's always busy and I can see why! I grew up in rural NC and this is a taste of home. Smokey, tender meats with a variety to choose from and delicious side options too. The catfish is a hidden gem here if you enjoy a good piece of fried fish! Highly recommend.“
“A friendly neighborhood market atmosphere and a friendly man (owner?)..☺️?Jjajangmyeon, especially large-cut vegetablesThanks to the potatoes, it reminds me of old jjajangmyeon..Jjamppong is full of seafood, the broth is clear, and the spicy flavor is eye-opening ?. If I wasn't full, I would have eaten it with a bowl of rice..?✌️?The chicken is juicy on the outside and the salty and salty seasoning is delicious, but it is a bit disappointing that there is no chicken radish.. ?Tteokbokki was also served with plenty of vegetables and odeng...Chewy, spicy and sweet, but the fishy smell of oden is a bit annoying..A variety of groceries and cute goods that are rare in the U.S. are also on sale.. “
“Jessie was absolutely amazing! Her level of care and attention to detail is impeccable!! I dined at this location one year ago once, and she remembered everything that my hubby and I ordered precisely. It was mind blowing because I barely remember the menu and she refreshed my memory on what I preferred and she was absolutely right! I ordered it again excellent customer service. Jessie really makes it personal and made us feel like family while visiting the North Carolina area and dinning at Tony Romas. Thank you for providing excellent customer service!!“
“Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Everything looked clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Today was my first time eating at City Barbeque and I will definitely be coming back. Just can’t say enough good things about this place❣️“
“Changing my review a little because the last few times we went we felt very rushed. I understand it's a very busy restaurant but I don't think we should feel like we need to eat quickly and leave. The last time we went, the waitress brought our appetizers with the salad. Then taking my salad before I was done. The main course came quickly after that. I can see this hopping once. It's been the last few times that we felt rushed. Disappointed“
“Fun place. If you like smoked meats, you're going to love this. Collard greens were great. I wouldn't say this is traditional eastern or western North Carolina style. They have different sauces so you can go with a more vinegar base sauce if you'd like, or you can go Western US. Counter service with an old-timey vibe. Food was good.“
“This place is the absolute best!! Aside from the fact the food was delicious and to our table so extremely fast, the staff were terrific! The atmosphere was relaxing, prices great! It's truly worth the drive. I can't wait to get a chance to come back!“
“I went to celebrate finally getting my license! I ordered ahead as my drive was 24 minutes ahead. The person on the phone was very kind and patient as my friend gave the requisite amount of ums. When I arrived my food was ready and warm. The steak I ordered was DELICIOUS and cooked to perfection! My friend's meal also looked good, but I let them keep it. I highly recommend this restaurant!Parking: They have a few spots up front for curb side pickup. When I went @ 5pm there was space for curbside AND eat in.Wheelchair accessibility: It does sit up high (there's a curb), but there is an up ramp. There are also a couple handicap spaces. The tables in the restaurant are kind of close together, from the view that I saw, so maneuvering within the restaurant may prove difficult. I'm sure accomodations would be made in the even that you make the wise decision of eating here.“
“Raleigh is a fine area to visit, but their idea of BBQ and mine are not the same. But I'd heard plenty of good things about Big Mike's and I made my way over. I sat at the bar and had a 3 meat platter. Brisket, burnt ends, and chopped BBQ chicken. Actually, I had asked for ribs, but got brisket instead. Not that I was complaining as things would turn out. I was expecting pulled chicken and instead it was roughly chopped chicken breast. I was glad it wasn't pulled but the meat was a little dry which can happen easily with chicken breast. I needed a decent amount of sauce for it. It was seasoned well though. Burnt ends were fine, not the best, not the worst. But the brisket was incredibly good. In the mid Atlantic, a lot of BBQ places do the pork well, but not the beef. Well Big Mike's does a great job with the cow. Moist meat, a nice layer of bark on the outside. I would certainly order this again. Thumbs up for the sides, the smoked potato salad is one of the best BBQ sides I've ever had. Potatoes were all dente, the dressing was super cheesy and thick. Cucumber salad was a fine refresher for the palate. Service was pretty good, though it did take a little more time than I would have wanted to get my drink refill. But the check was processed in a timely manner. If anything, maybe some more sides like mac and cheese and cornbread would be a nice addition. But a good BBQ spot for sure.“
“Have been coming here since they opened. Food is always delicious. Cannot remember a time over the last 20+ years that I’ve had a bad meal. Time and time again, one of my favorite places to bring out of towners (or even in towners) for a great bite to eat. Excellent portions for the price you pay. Fry sauce is always delicious. Fries hand cut and fresh plus the refills, cannot go wrong here.“
“Love this spot! Hadn't been in years with COVID and the recent renovations, but let me tell you...IT'S STILL BANGING!!! Food on POINT, staff on POINT, and the place is looking good from the reno! I had the BBQ plate with Mac and cheese, cabbage, and hush puppies; it was delicious! I had enough BBQ left to bring to work for lunch! This a Durham GEM that deserves our continued support!“
“I am a student at UNC Chapel Hill, and when my mom visited town we ordered City BBQ. The meat was amazing their pulled pork was so juicy and tender! The swine wine sauce was the best barbecue sauce we had ever had. After eating our first order we ordered two more pounds of meat to have for the rest of the week! The chocolate cake was divine! Definitely will become a regular staple!“
“Yet another decent BBQ place here in NC. Freshly sliced to order brisket with a good flavor to it. A nice balance of smokey and seasoning. The beans were good, but just had the classic baked bean flavor. Nothing too special. They had some decent sauces, if you like NC vinegar based. And honestly some of the best hush puppies around. Definitely worth stopping in if you want some bbq and you're in the area.“
