“I first tried Dampf BBQ many years ago when they were still out at the fairgrounds, and I can honestly say it has remained the best and most consistent barbecue I’ve had both in this state and across the country. I’ve traveled extensively during my military career, which has given me the chance to try some truly great barbecue spots nationwide. Even with all that experience, Dampf BBQ is still my number one. The meat is always incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and cooked with the kind of care you can taste in every bite. Beyond the food, the people here make the experience even better. This is a dedicated, family-owned, local business that clearly takes pride in what they do. I’ve seen comments about wait times and pricing, but in my opinion, anything truly good is worth waiting for, and anything made with real quality is worth paying for. I drive an hour just to get this barbecue, and I’ve never once been disappointed. It’s consistently excellent, every single time. If you’re on the fence… don’t be. It’s 100% worth the trip. Give it a shot.“

“This was my first visit to the Raleigh location on May 28, 2025 with two out of town guests. three diff dishes were ordered..brisket, St. Louis rubbed ribs and burnt ends. The brisket and burnt ends were amazing. The ribs however were dry and tough. The meat certainly did not fall off the bone. I would not recommend the ribs based on this experience.“

“Best barbecue we have ever had ! We will definitely be returning to here again. Everything was so tasty and flavorful ! The barbecue chicken was fall off the bone , the okra was fried to perfection, the potato salad was delicious too and the pulled pork was awesome with their house made sauces!Our waitress was soo nice too, was so welcoming and we really appreciated it because our family has been going through a tough time. It warmed all of our hearts and bellies. Thank you for the great barbecue experience!“

The staff are friendly, attentive, and the service is quick. The restaurant is clean, bright, and ideal for family dinners, gatherings with friends, or anyone wanting a fun dining experience.
Prices run around $30–50, and considering the quality and variety, it’s definitely worth it.

“Hadn't tried this place despite coming to Apex frequently. Really wish I had tried them sooner. Excellent fried seafood served hot, fresh and from friendly staff. Highly recommended.

“Delicious food and great service even for a family of 6. The servers were very attentive. This was a great place to eat as a finish to our vacation. The wings were probably the best I’ve ever had. I got the Shearon Harris and the flavor was excellent with the right amount of heat. My wife and oldest had the regular BBQ flavor and that was also very good. The Tots with queso was amazing as well. If you’re in the area I strongly suggest trying this place out.“

“Stephanie Food Truck was amazing! First of all, they came the day before to introduce themselves, make sure they knew the location to park the truck so there would be no delay, and they had enough people on hand to take care of the staff in a quick orderly fashion. On the day of our event, they showed up one hour early, staff filtered out and they served 111 people in an hour. The food was wonderful, Romero was so kind. The price, well let's just say - I was very pleased at the discount he offered and we WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN! “Our dining experience at Longhorn was a very satisfying one! We arrived as a large party (25), following a late evening religious observance/celebration. In frames, Wild West Shrimp, Fire Grilled T-Bone, Chop Steak, Filet Mignon and Renegade Sirloin... And a delicious Strawberry shortcake to end!
The service was a tad too slow and not responsive enough... That's the only thing this place could improve on... No complaints on the food front, though, and that's what matters eventually!“

“Please change some of 20 curbside parking into handicap parking for a disabled veterans. Only 5 handicap spots always full but the 20 curbside pickup are always empty.“

“Our first time here and we will definitely be back! Our server was awesome and everything tasted great, especially the custard buns. And you get a lil ice cream cup on the way out :) We wanted to try to strawberry soju but they were out so we opted for peach instead and it was great too!“
