First of all, they came the day before to introduce themselves, make sure they knew the location to park the truck so there would be no delay, and they had enough people on hand to take care of the staff in a quick orderly fashion. On the day of our event, they showed up one hour early, staff filtered out and they served 111 people in an hour. The food was wonderful, Romero was so kind. “I first tried Dampf BBQ many years ago when they were still out at the fairgrounds, and I can honestly say it has remained the best and most consistent barbecue I’ve had both in this state and across the country. “One of the best Shawarmas in Raleigh. It is a food truck but man... so much better and authentic than some restaurants! Limited menu but whatever they sell is delicious. Falafel wrap, beef/chicken shawarma everything is so good! One in photo is a chicken shawarma. And the owner is also very friendly and sweet!! Hopefully they will expand their menu to more items.“

“Mr. A’s Beignets: A Powdered Sugar Revelation Mr. A’s beignets are so good, I had to sit down and reevaluate some life choices. Light, fluffy, perfectly fried, and drowning in powdered sugar—just like the ones in New Orleans… but honestly? Better. Yeah, I said it. One bite and I was spiritually transported to the French Quarter—minus the street smells and saxophones. These beignets are dangerously good. Like, “accidentally eat the whole box before pulling out of the parking lot” good. They’re golden perfection with a powdered sugar blizzard on top. Soft in the middle, crisp on the edges, and clearly made with love (and possibly sorcery). Highly recommend. Bring napkins. And self-control.“

“This is a really solid local taco truck that serves great value taco plates. I usually get the steak tacos sometimes I'll get the chicken or Pastor/Carnitas and occasionally Barbacoa. My favorite is the steak though. They give really nice sides of Cucumber and Radish along with salsa and the food is energizing, healthy, and it digest well at a great price. Much better option than mainline fast food. The shrimp tacos are great too!“

“This place has the best ice cream. Unfortunately, it does not have the best employees. Every single time I’ve been there in the last two years, my order has been wrong. Stopped by and ordered two sundaes tonight. Both of them had the wrong flavors in them. Like, not even close. We ended up throwing them away. Was going to complain but the kid that made them was running the register so I figured what’s the point. So, great ice cream when you get what you order. I’ve kind of forgotten what that’s like but I’m still recommending them.“

We had the curried goat, oxtail, rice and peas, fried plantains, baked mac and cheese and cabbage! The goat and oxtail were so tender, just how it should be! “I went to the yellow food truck. I haven't tried anything from the gray one yet.

I highly recommend the chicken tacos and steak tacos. They are very good, and the service is quick, the staff is nice, and the food was hot. The price is also a plus. $3 per taco and just as good as most Mexican food trucks. I would definitely be coming back again.

Parking: It's at a gas station, so you have to park where you can, and there are a few actual parking spots.“

“Went for the first time on Saturday March 6. I got a beef taco and my kids got the same. I also ordered a side of rice. The food took about 8 minutes to make. We opened up our taco and it looked delicious. There was a little lime in all our taco meals. The taste was amazing! The tortilla was authentic and delicious as well! Mysore bonda was pillowy on the inside, and the chutneys complimented it nicely. Chicken manchurian was a good blend of sweet and savory, and the chicken was cooked nicely. But the highlight for me was the biryani! I’ve had bad luck experiences with food truck biryani, but I decided to try it anyway. And i’m glad I did! The chicken was succulent and aromatic, and the rice was cooked to perfection. Better than some restaurants i’ve been to! Only bad thing was that the wait times are tooo long. Aside from food, the place is cozy. I also like the name. Staff were mostly helpful. This food truck is close to the heart of Apex and beaver creek commons.
