Restaurantji unveils Pittsboro's must-visit Mexican dining spots.
“Went for lunch after hearing good things about this Mi Cancun from a few friends. The biggest thing I can say about them is that their good offerings, while similar in offering, are different than most of the other local Mexican style restaurants. I ordered the flautas and they had a sauce on them that was different than I have had before, that gave them a unique twist. The salsa that came with the chips was very fresh, chunky, and had a vibrant flavor. Overall, I was very impressed with the food.Being a fairly warm day in the spring, we choose to sit in their indoor / outdoor patio area that has weather curtains and heaters making it suitable for most weather conditions. While it was nice to be semi outside, it was a bit on the noisy side with as large party present, hence 4 / 5.Overall the service was very good, but I'm giving a 4/5 because when they brought the chips and salsa, they asked if we would like some fresh guacamole and I said yes, but we never received it. Given the other food offerings, I would have really liked to try it as I am a fan of guac and you can tell s real difference between fresh and ones that doctor it up with green food coloring.“
“Stopped in for a late lunch and left very satisfied. We had a margarita (on special on Wednesday’s ) and the quesabirria tacos. We have spent time in Mexico and the flavors of the tacos and consume were spot on. Also served us chips and salsa, which was very tasty. Waitress was very attentive. We will definitely return!“
“Basic / average experience. Not bad, nothing great either. Super quiet speaking staff makes it super hard to hear while ordering. Not much to say so I guess that's better than the average drive through experience. Kinda sad to say that though. What is it about fast food businesses staffing quality?Takeout: Yes“
“I love this place so much - whether it’s the food truck or the restaurant itself, their food is always fresh and delicious. They also have great, tasty vegetarian options, and the restaurant is always clean and quick whenever I decide to dine in. Sometimes I wish they were open a little bit later or were located closer to campus, but that’s just because I like the food so much.“
“The food was delicious! Pollo Ranchero & Grande pollo burrito, the guacamole was excellent, not overpowered by onions. Definitely good portion sizes, fresh flavorful salsa too! It's not greasy either like some places. I am picky about my Mexican food, and this didn't disappoint. It was my 1st time in, but it won't be the last!“
“I always get the fish tacos which are incredible delicious. The only thing I don't like is how the staff asks you as soon as you walk in the door "is it to go?" I find it very annoying to be the first thing you hear when entering a restaurant because -no, I'm eating in- and I don't like saying "no" as soon as I enter an establishment. Also, it feels like they don't want you there when they ask such a thing. I hope the management reads this review because it's really off-putting and almost upsets me. Staff should say "Hello, welcome to O'Ya" or something because the client will obviously tell you if it is to go because they ordered it and are there to pick it up.“
“Best (and only) Taco ? Bell around the area. The restaurant is newly built, clean and roomy with a nice ambiance especially for a fast food spot. The ladies at the drive thru were prompt and polite with their service. Try the Taco ? Bell app for exclusive menu items and reward points that add up to freeee Tacos (or select items) or to order ahead and customize your meals!“
“Waiter made wrong drink and when he offered to remake it he charged for mistake drink as wellGot my burrito and for some strange reason they served it with French fries...No way I was sending it back to have the kitchen to do something to it especially after the drink issue“
