“Finally found the Boba Fruit Milk Tea with poppers I have been wanting! 4 years ago tried Milk Fruit Boba tea on vacation but never found another place that made it similar around home. Just discovered this the other day! Staff were super helpful and answered all my questions. Mango milk boba tea was amazing. I would like to throw it out there and suggest for mango and strawberry flavors it would be cool if you could get tiny pieces of the fruit chopped up and mixed in with the poppers or boba. I can't wait to go back and try the pastries! Had a large beautiful selection of many tasty goodies. Definitely going to be a repeat customer for the milk boba tea. Conveniently located very close to the parking garage at 40 Coxe.“
“This place is hands down one of the best restaurants! The food is always excellent. I used to work here over 10 years ago, and to be able to honestly recommend anything on the menu, knowing people will leave happy was just the best! The decor is very eclectic and you can tell the owners have fun with it.The scallops are my absolute favorite, and the mussels never disappoint. My husband loves the lamb shank! And for dessert, the baklava ice cream cake is a must! Highly recommend!“
“Yellow Mug is our go-to breakfast spot in Weaverville as locals. They are friendly, happy and serve up some delicious food. You can get coffee here as well which is a requirement for me for breakfast! They have a lovely patio where you can sit out on a nice day. The service is quick and they have options for everyone depending on what you like. Please stay open forever Yellow Mug! We love having you here.Kid-friendliness: They love kids here!“
“What an adorable hidden gem tucked off the street. Outdoor setting is dog friendly. Pups even got a treat. Owner is delightful. I had homemade vegetable beef soup and some mixed greens with a vinaigrette. My husband had a tuna melt sandwich. Highly recommend“
“such a cool tour, Franco was our tour guide and he was so funny and made a good environment to ask questions! really cool that they allow tours and the info they share is really interesting! it’s free and not super long so it’s a fun short thing to do, plus they have good merch and a cute cafe in “
“I love this local coffee destination!! It has such personality and uniqueness! I love the specialty drinks that you can only find here AND they have gluten-free baked goods (I highly recommend the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin). The chai latte is delish as well. I wish there were some more privacy seating for those who want to get some work done or those who want to meet a friend and chat … the seating is all in one open room, cozy feeling but open.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free baked goods ??“
“A quaint little local spot sporting a delicious selection of coffees, espresso, and pastries. We had a drip coffee, a pour over, and two different croissants and everything tasted great. The pour over didn't have the cleanest pull, but that's only if I'm nitpicking. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, but also bustling enough that I could study or work and enjoy the background as white noise. Our little breakfast was scored by Cage the Elephant's album Social Cues and then some late 2010s J-Pop, which helped make the experience feel cinematic. Definitely will be adding this to the itinerary again next time we visit. We also bought a cute mug to celebrate the occasion!“
“Parking: During certain times of the day it's hard to find parking due to most residents parking near the restaurant, there is parking across the street at the school but I wouldn't recommend parking there especially as school dismisses because you will be stuck there.Kid-friendliness: I saw school aged children and toddlers as well. Plenty of outdoor seating, I also saw a few doggos sitting outside with their humans.“
“This place was amazing to discover while staying in flat rock for the week. Enjoyed some food and drinks while playing some board games that we never played. Love the concept of the store. Getting away from the devices and spend some quality time like the good old days.“
“Mark and Cora were first class today with customer service! If you are looking for a solid time in Asheville definitely check out Cafe c a n n a! Good temperature inside and even better atmosphere with even better employees better now friends! So I had the pleasure of trying this wonderful establishment for the first time ever. I was blown away by customer service that I don't get back at my home. I wonder why I've been to Asheville now five times within 2 months and soon to be six times. The reason for that is because people are real and people are kind around here. This will be an experience that I soon won't forget! I will treasure today as a positive memory versus a negative day. I hope to come back here again because this truly is first class!!“
“I love coming here for multiple reasons:Coffee here in the mornings is good and I can focus on my work in a comfortable environment. I do some of my work on my laptop and feel this is a great place to do that. For dinner, the food is delicious! You pay for what you get here. The quality is very good. I recently had the wings and they were fantastic.I’ve come here for a beer or cocktail every once in a while too. They have a nice porch so you can enjoy the weather as well.If you’ve been thinking about trying this place and haven’t yet, you’re missing out! Give them a try and you won’t regret it. You’ll wish you had gone sooner in fact.“
“Great coffee, pastries and to-go snacks. This was an awesome addition to Leicester but like some newer spots they aren't that busy yet. Support local! I really think the owners need to invest in better signs out front to draw in customers.“
“Full transparency: my husband and I originally came here to order some pastries, especially after seeing how delicious they looked online. Unfortunately, they had already run out by the time we arrived. We didn't want to leave empty handed, so we both decided to try one of their drinks. My husband ordered a hot chocolate and I ordered a brown butter chai latte. My latte was super creamy and had a nice buttery flavor at the end. It was divine! I do hope to return soon and try some pastries next time.“
“Absolutely fantastic place to eat. Each meal is incredibly flavorful, and the ambiance is pleasantly quirky. It is incredibly busy for a good reason, but the staff work efficiently to get you through the line. This is a must if you're in the Asheville area.“
“I went here for a bagel pop-up in Feb, and it was the best bagel I've had in the area. The cream cheese options were unique and delicious. My boyfriend got the lox bagel and loved it. The employees were super friendly and fast. The only downside is that there's no indoor seating, and all the outdoor seating was taken. This is definitely more of a grab and go place.Parking: Large free parking lot. It's gravel, so it could be a bit muddy if it's been wet.“
“Their bread is perfect. The cheddar scallion biscuits are phenomenal. Get there early as they do run out of baked goods, which is a great sign of sustainability and quality. Good tea and coffee. Excellent all around bakery and coffee shop with ample seating and clean restrooms.“
“I was asking questions about the orange cardamom and building an order with the barista and was amazed by how knowledgeable and considerate she was. Great drinks and great prices as well. I love the high ceiling too! Reminds me of coffee shops in my home town :)“
“Not only is this a gem of a spot where you can see records being pressed while you sip on a cozy latte - Cheryl aka the Giddy Chick has taken over Sessions Cafe and made it next level!!! From the Falafel Waffle, to the personal sized quiche, the amazing egg Sammie to the curried cauliflower Buddha bowl, the hardest part is making a decision!!! Don’t sleep on dessert either - Cheryl ran the pastry program for the Inn @ Biltmore and before that the Ritz in both Chicago & NYC. Her Cookies! Her Pastries! OMG!!!Pro tip: She also does custom cakes and pies.Vegetarian options: From the quiche (best ever) to the curried cauliflower Buddha bowl to the falafel waffle, Cheryl has got you covered with any dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten Free Options, soooooooo delicious!!!“
“One of the coffees didn't specify that it had dairy and we had to reorder it black. Other than that, the avocado toast was great. It came with a side salad of Kale that really complimented the dish. This place is seated in the heart of Asheville, great location to walk around, great outdoor seating. Even in the cold there were heat lamps outside, very interesting.“
“This place and the folks who run it are fantastic. I like to visit as often as possible for lunch, which is served each weekday and is donation based. The food is delicious, healthy and filling. There is almost always a meet and a veggi option for main dish, as well as several sides and deserts to chose from. The people are welcoming and friendly I would recommend this place to anyone interested or in need of a fantastic hot meal.“
“This was a party for the tongue! The reuben with tempeh was really flavorful and the ensalada tostada with creamy chipotle dressing was yummy as well! Wish I could have tried more meals here! The service was a little slow though (getting our order in and receiving the food and later the bill took a while). Still 5 stars because the food was so good!Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian ❤️“
“Being a barista in the obx I’m a tad picky about my coffee. These guys are awesome! My wife and I loved our coffees and our breakfast sandwiches even more! Blueberry goat cheese w prosciutto was delightful! Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!“
“It's a bit expensive, but there can be no denying that they're baked goods are fabulous and they have good coffee. They do offer a variety of savory dishes, but I have rarely tried them. The ones that I have tried have been very good. Service is polite and professional. I honestly can't think of any complaints. If I remember correctly I went with someone who's extremely Gluten Sensitive and they had lots of options for him. I do wish they had slightly more comfortable seating, but it's a very minor complaint.Dietary restrictions: They have quite a number of gluten-free items.“
“I was very surprised with this place... The food was freshly prepared and served with a large portion... They do not have table service.. You order and pay at the counter.. Food items were moderately priced and service was fairly fast... We had thunder storms the day we visited and had to eat inside..but they have great outdoor seating with nice views of the gardens.“
“We had brunch here around 10am on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. There was enough delay before being greeted by our waiter that we had looked over the entire menu and went ahead and ordered food with our drinks. Everything came out in a reasonable time. The French toast only comes with 1 piece which is unfortunate because it was very good. The eggs were under seasoned, but the portions were very generous because of the amount of sides given. All of the food was good but you are definitely paying a premium for the location and atmosphere (eating outside on a patio downtown).“
“We pre-ordered the Ploughman's Basket picnic after reading about it in Atlanta magazine. It was delicious! Highly recommended! Pictured: me with all the picnic stuff (except you can't really see the giant loaf of bread, the two cookies or the tote bag it all came in).“
“Granny's is our favorite "Best Kept Secret"!! Awesome cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chili, tater tots and old fashioned crinkle fries!! We always enjoy our food and our visit. Customer Service is tops! dine-in area is small, but they stay very busy with drive-through and carry-outs. Love it!!“
“This was our first time at OWL and it was a hit. The orange blossom cappuccino was delicious, floral, and not too sweet. Husband loved the traditional cappuccino and said it was so good it needed no sweetener. We had the quiche which was lovely and not overcooked. I would say it was light on herbs. The pecan streusel slapped! It is similar to baklava in texture, some might say a southern baklava. Overall worth a trip to OWL!“
“LOVED the artfully crafted pastries and the delicious savory offerings here. Friendly customer service with great value for the price, too. Really enjoyed the pretzel turkey sandwich (warmed) with flavorful sesame noodles (highly recommend both!). Finished off our lunch with some delicious sweets- the truffles melt in your mouth and the coffee cake is balanced with spice. Really look forward to dining here again.“
“Perfect place for coffee and bagels before a busy day. This is a true espresso experience—first time I’ve seen a cortado on a menu since I was the one making them—so don’t expect Starbucks style macchiatos. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re staying at the Renaissance hotel (it’s a five minute walk away).“
“Small local diner tucked in among all the chain places-easy to miss, but so glad we found it. From the coffee to the sausage patties, to the pancakes & the buttermilk biscuit, everything was delicious. Service was beyond great and the prices can't be beat.“
“cool and original atmosphere, like the vast majority of cafes in Asheville, they grind and sell selected coffees freshly. I tried a special coffee with pepper, but Batista exaggerated a little with it ?, I just don't give a+ for that, in the most excellent place.“
“Beautiful coffee shop, clean and with incredibly tasting selection of savory & sweet goodies. The stuff is warm and friendly. It’s definitely a must stop by place for anyone passing through as we did!Vegetarian options: Plenty savory optionsParking: Street parkingKid-friendliness: Very kid- friendly, high chair availableWheelchair accessibility: No steps, flat entry“
“We loved this place. The owner ( although he said his wife was the owner, maybe he was joking) made the experience really fun. He was very funny and also helpful as we were new to the area. He really kept us entertained. (But it was encouraged, he was not overly intrusive at all) The food was delicious. Fresh beautifully arranged on the plate and at a very good price. I wish we lived closer I would go back for dinner. He was smoking ribs that afternoon and they smelled delicious. Overall great experience. Enjoyed sitting on the beautiful patio where many people had their pets with them.I would highly recommend this place.“
“This was a great find during our Biltmore Village afternoon. :) We we're not excited about other restaurants in the Village, with our daughter in tow. The bbq chicken flatbread was great, along with the side salad. My husband really liked his Turkey and bacon sandwich, which was a good size. The pretzel dog lacked a little flavor but our daughter happily enjoyed it. They had wine, which we would have happily ordered but we're too cold. ;) We got a hot drink instead.“
“Very very good coffee. Got a latte and honey rose latte, both great.Pros: Espresso was fantastic, as well as the flavor offerings. House made syrups a plus. Wish they had a couple more, but the ones they have are great. They weigh their shots and are well trained. Great art on the latte. Vibe inside is clean, nice place to do some work and hangout. It's posh. Good service. Great amount of seating inside. They sell coffee brewing equipment and coffee beans to take home. Also, the cups they use for take-out are great quality.Cons: Not necessarily family friendly as it is very much white and black inside, very calm. Not a bad thing thats just their style. There is parking but can get crowded and limited as its on a street corner on a hill. Near Pie-zaa and other places, it can get busy around there.“
“Great place with great food and great vibe! Staff was friendly and service was quick. The avocado toast is the best I’ve ever tried. It’s hard to find a good açaí bowl but this one was one of the best I’ve ever had. They ran out of granola the second time I went, but they made sure to make me aware so they could make it right or I could change my order. I wound up getting extra blueberries on my bowl. Sometimes things run out on busy days (I had come later in the day on a Saturday), and I was impressed with how they made ensuring the situation was made right a priority. Absolutely excellent customer service out of these folks. They’ll be seeing me again soon as I’m heading back to Asheville tomorrow.Dietary restrictions: Options for gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian.Parking: Park at the Ingle’s grocery store and walk one block down.Kid-friendliness: I saw several families with kids.“
“Ate breakfast here before entering the Biltmore Estate. Delicious egg and cheese on a croissant and a piece baklava. Other baked goods looked yummy as well. Not a coffee person but everyone else in the cafe looked to be enjoying theirs. Highly recommended!“
“My first visit and was overall pleased and will return. It took quite a while for our order to be taken and there were several employees. Once we were attenended to, all the staff were kind and helphul. Ordered a basic coffee with cream and not a fan of the lighter roast they serve but loved the mug. My daughters's chai latte was really good and spiced well. We shared a bagel sandwich and almond croissant and they were both delicious. The atmosphere was clean and chill with a great mix of customers.“
“This place is close by where I work so they definitely get the convenience points. I prefer pour over coffee and they have a delicious selection of coffee to have this way. They definitely serve other coffee drinks as well as some delicious treats. The atmosphere is conducive to having a personal conversation or getting in some quality study/work time. Give this coffee shop a try if you haven’t yet.“
“While at the North Carolina Arboretum, we decided to eat lunch here instead of going out to somewhere else. So the location is ideal. If you are planning on spending the day at the Arboretum. The menu is limited, but we each found something we liked. I had the chicken salad sandwich, our friends had the turkey sandwich, and Husband had the hotdogs. All meals came with chips. We had our water bottles, so we didn't need to buy a drink. If we had, there were canned sodas, and bottles of water in a nearby cooler. Friends' white bread was better than my whole grain bread. The whole grain bread was dense and I wanted to taste the chicken salad, so I skipped the bread and ate the chicken salad with a fork. We tried one of their cookies Dash a chocolate chip with walnut and nuts. It was very good. Aside from being pricey, the food was good, and the ambience was very nice. We liked the giant leaves over our heads, and the leaves on the windows.“
“John F has single handedly saved my first experience at the GPI. My 2 kids and I have traveled across country from Wisconsin to Chapel Hill after packing up my childhood home for a month after my parents passed away. I was exhausted after a 9 hour drive to Asheville and decided to book a room here as a special treat. When we arrived it rained and despite accepting the pouring rain we didn't get any sympathy or help except for John who listened to me rant and bought me a glass of wine. Bottom Line - Thank You John“
“The Americano was perfect as I could have my half and half(decaf/caffeinated). Drip coffee didn't offer decaf.Split a hummus sandwich with my friend. It hit the spot at a HIIT workout at the gym.Nice to sit outside by the river. Quiet and peaceful.“
