“OVERALL this is a very solid place. We went on Saturday though, and it gave a little disappoint.Kids wanted nachos to start as a splitter. I asked the server "do you have anything really spicy? Some extra-hot sauce? Fresh jalapenos, anything??" She said "not really" and offered Cholula (which was past its expiration date). The nachos CAME with fresh jalapenos so that was a nice touch. Their salsa was kind of sweet and bland. But this isn't a Mexican restaurant so I should be less critical probably. We had a Sirloin / Gorg salad and the portion of steak was fairly small (seemed too small for an $18 salad) and at least a quarter of the steak was inedible as it was gristle / connective tissue. The salad was a little bland from lack of dressing and the dressing itself seemed "blah".We split Poutine with chicken as well and it was very fun / indulgent. Good to split because it's a lot of richness.BIG PRAISE for the bartender for making two very solid martinis. He took his time and did them right.Service at the table was solid but the noise in the train car room is just deafening. Hard to have a non-shouting conversation. They need to put something soft on the walls to absorb some of the echo.Leadbelly is a good spot but this was the first kind of "meh" visit. We'll be back and hope for better.“
“First let me start off by saying I have been in the food industry since I was 10 years old, in the 22 years since then I have been to and ate at probably more than 5000 different restaurants, bar and grills, and diners. By far this one stood out the most for me. Not only was the food amazing, the price was awesome for the amount of food given, and the menu items was one heck of a list. From every review and story i had heard about this place everyone of them was true!! Service was outstanding, definitely reminds me of the old school mom and pop diners. 10/10 would highly recommend any day. They definitely live up to the hype. Very calm and collected atmosphere definitely a place to bring the family or a great group of friends to just sit down and relax and enjoy company. I will definitely be back!! The food was authentic it wasn't your normal precooked stuff it was real no powdered eggs, no pre-made pancakes, no microwaved bacon it's the real deal folks and that'll definitely be one diner I will go out of my way to go to anytime I'm near Lincoln.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly would bring my kids anytime!!“
“Visited on a Saturday about noon. The place was packed with people.Food arrived a bit cold but was good.I had the Penelope's Combo for something like $12. Chicken fried steak, gravy, pancakes, eggs,Parking: Apparently the virtually always empty coin car wash has problems with people parking from Penelope's as there are lots of we tow signs in the common lot and a warning on Penelope's door about the towing.“
“At Honest Abe's, every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality. From the moment you walk in, the warm welcome and efficient service set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The burgers, crafted with care and bursting with flavor, are undoubtedly the stars of the menu. Each juicy patty, nestled between perfectly toasted buns, is a culinary masterpiece that leaves you craving more. With its combination of mouthwatering burgers and top-notch service, Honest Abe's is a true gem for burger aficionados seeking an unforgettable dining outing.“
“Burgers and Parmesan fries! Delish!!!Need a treat from Sasquatch Bakery. Abe's has them too!Vegetarian options: I suggest calling the restaurant for more information.Dietary restrictions: I suggest calling the restaurant for more information.Parking: Other businesses share the parking lotKid-friendliness: Bring the kidsWheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair could get around the restaurant.“
“This place is great. The menu has so many options to choose from. The service has always been absolutely wonderful. The restaurant has always been clean and the staff is great. I have been going her for years, It has never been a disappointment.“
“First time customer at Tina’s and they did not disappoint! Husband and I walked in a little after 8am on a Saturday morning, only spots left were at the bar and one large table.Food: 5* We ordered the cinnamon roll to share and wow it’s huge! The picture is what we had leftover to take home!Their hash browns are legit the best I’ve ever had. I asked the waitress if they were fresh shaved potatoes (they are) , and she was able to proudly explain the process to me. Chicken fried steak was great as well.Service: 5* The waitresses working were very attentive, both would ask if we needed anything as they walked by. Super friendly and personable!Atmosphere: 5* Clearly some racing fans decorated! Love the small diner feel with the atmosphere.Side note, be sure to check hours before going! Posted hours are closed after 2pm M-F. Closed on Sundays and have a short open time for Saturday!Parking: Only a few spots to park in front of building, however there is additional parking in the back, or on side streets for large vehicles.“
“Burger was delicious, very flavorful patty. The side of Bajan rice was so good, a lot of kick. This isn't like anything else in Lincoln! I'm excited to try other items on the menu!Update: I tried the Bamboo green tea rice as my side, so good! The owner put on extra toppings to make sure it was ?Vegetarian options: All vegan restaurantParking: Street parking“
“I have not been to Crave since they moved from Pine Lake. I am really glad I finally made it to the new place.I was surprised it was not a sit down style restaurant and not go to the counter and order. They seem to have several items on the menu that were not there at the original place. I am not sure if the new place was always like this or not.The burgers are as good or even better than I remember. You get to choose your cook on the burger now and that is good. The waffle fries were great.Looking forward to going back sometime and trying some apps or desserts too.“
“This is hands down the absolute best Dairy Queen in all of Lincoln. The dairy is amazing as usual for a Dairy Queen, and it's an old fashioned building, with a neon sign and outdoor seating. I went here for a Brookie blizzard and impressed by the cool atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.“
“Had lunch with my son here. Not what it once was, but the food is still good! Service was great, waitress was prompt and super friendly. This place was a staple in my weekends when i was younger. Great time on a friday or saturday evening.Kid-friendliness: Before 9pm, children are allowed in as it serves as a restaurant as well. They have pinball, pool tables, foosball and darts. Food on the Little Cappy's menu is well portioned and good options. Plus come with a treat!“
“My boyfriend and I usually share the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, which is delicious! My boyfriend tried the creamy parmesan gnocchi, which he thought was okay. He's not a huge fan of nutmeg and there was a generous amount of top so he didn't like it much. The cream sauce was really good though!“
“Everything is perfect. The music is just a little loud for sensitive ears. The potato soup is the best along side with fries and a couple of chicken strips.Kid-friendliness: My 10 yo loves the atmosphere, fries and tall booths. If only she would try the meats, then I would be a super happy momma.“
“I’ve been eating gyros and fries here for years. Always great quality. Decided to take my wife and she loved the other options they have. Decided to finally leave a review due to them returning $500 that my wife dropped when ordering. They checked their security cameras and returned it before we even noticed. Good food and honesty keeps me coming back.“
“Me & the hubby have been going to Lead Bellys for a couple years now & we didn't think we were gonna find a place that could compete with it...but we were wrong. Toast is amazing! Their food, atmosphere, & the customer service was great. Was seated right away & helped immediately. Will definitely be back.“
“Waitress was charming. Food was delicious! Two of us ordered the burger. One needed gluten free bun and was able to sub a green salad for side since fries aren't gluten free. 2 ordered Steak Frites. Ordered medium rare - it came closer to rare, but still delicious. Much better then being to well done.“
“Cool place in the Haymarket. Spicy is legit spicy!I had the crawfish Alfredo and my buddy had the combo platter. Both were great!Service was just OK. We sat outside as it was nice, might have been a factor but it shouldn't have been!“
“Took a friend there for a quick lunch he had never been and I'd never been ti that location so we order the one I wanted was out so I tried something new it was amazing and my friend ordered the Thor's hammer he didn't even look at what was on it just did because of the name and he enjoyed it“
“Staff was very nice and welcoming. The food was good, but I wouldn't recommend the Jamaica j*** wings. They were very messy, and I just wasn't a fan of the flavor. This is one of the few remaining bars and grills with a pool table... only 1 though.Kid-friendliness: Had a kids menu and music playing in the background was appropriate.Parking: Parking was fineWheelchair accessibility: Ground level“
“When you are packaging ToGo orders, you have to let the freshly fried food vent somehow. Folding and sealing the bag with a sticker will cause those fries to get soggy more quickly. I've been doing delivery for over 4 years. The best way to seal a paper bag that has fried food in it ... don't fold it. Just lay the sticker right over the top of the bag. Also, plastic bags help in transport but don't knot them so much you completely cut off air supply for the food.“
“Thalia and Zoe are lifesavers. We had a reservation for 20 that we made an hour ahead of time, and Thalia was the absolute best helping us out with booths. She is such a great worker and always had a smile on her face. Zoe came by to our 3 booths to always make sure our glasses were filled with alcohol, and they sure were because of her great service. This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back because of them!! Thank you girls❤️“
“Drove from Rhode Island to Colorado. And while in the Midwest I came across this place I remember reading about it and had to try it. I got a double deluxe with cheese curds and fries. And wow it was absolutely delicious. If you live near one or are driving by do yourself a favor and stop in. It lives up to the reputation :)“
“I like eating food at Runza, but order accuracy needs some work. In the last 4 trips, the order was wrong. But I check now before leaving. The store decor is not very comfortable. The seating leaves a lot to be desired. But as I started with, I do love their food, and they do a really good job of making it with consistency.“
“I have enjoyed take-out lunch a couple of times and decided to try their catering services for a family birthday party - we were highly satisfied with the entire experience! The owner was incredibly easy and pleasant to work with and ensured me that he would prepare more than enough food to serve the 15 people at the party. We opted to order buffet style service which included gyro meat, chicken shawarma, pita bread, tzatziki of our choice, a side of rice, and a side of fries. All of the food was freshly prepared and warm in the serving pans and he waited until I arrived at the restaurant to cook the fries to ensure that they were fresh and not soggy/stale. There was plenty of food to feed our group and it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend George's Gourmet Grill both as a lunchtime stop and for their catering!“
“Food isn't gonna knock your socks off, but everyone can probably find something they like on a big menu. The wings are decent. I would ask them to cook them a little longer. Drink selection is pretty good and there's enough tables that you can usually find a seat.Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly“
“IDK how they do it but the turkey is SO moist and juicy. The turkey bacon club is, IMO, the best sandwich you can get in Lincoln. Thick smoky well seasoned turkey slices every time. Still hot after delivery. Highly recommend this place.“
“We’re from out of town and just stopped at the first place we saw. The grilled chicken sandwich was amazing as well as the cheese curds. The staff was friendly and very attentive, and the music wasn’t super loud which was pleasantVegetarian options: Vegetarian BurgerDietary restrictions: Gluten Free options“
“Everything is clean. Food is hot and fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great place for quick family meals.Kid-friendliness: Staff are very patient with active kiddos. There are lots of windows to look out of. Every kids meal comes with a small ice cream treat coupon.“
“Went through drive through very busy. Got to the window and got my drinks, got my food a short time later. Got home five minutes later. Food was ice cold. I ordered fish sandwich, there was one little piece of fish the rest was poured on tarrer sauce and bread. The burger I was told was cold and wouldn't eat it. Fries were soggy and ice cold. Will never go back.“
“Really good fresh food, made to order. Update: had the cod sandwich and it was as good as always. The food is hot and better than any other "fast food".Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking is right in front and level. Easy to roll into the building, no ramps or such. The only thing that would be nice would be automatic doors.“
“We stayed at the Cornhusker hotel and visited the pub and grill twice. The first time was for appetizers and drinks. We had nachos and cheese curds. Someone in our party said the cheese curds were the best they’ve ever had. During our second visit, it was late at night and we had a few drinks. One of us wanted a hot chocolate with a shot of rum chata. We weren’t sure if the bar would make a hot chocolate but they did it for us! Would return!“
“I've been here three times now. 1st time a large family gathering. Food was phenomenal, service was even better. We had a translator for one of our guest but was not needed. Didn't feel rushed that they needed us to leave so just got to enjoy and learn.2nd visit was with my grandson and puppy. It was pretty warm outside, waiter took care of the pup by bringing a bowl of ice water for him. Great meal and good grandma, grandson time.3rd time, son and his family from Norfolk. Had a great late lunch and good after holiday conversation. Food again fantastic, think you've stolen my heart for favorite places to eat and ordering something different! Thanks for taking care of my pup as well! ??“
“Today we won a hockey championship and i couldn't think of a better place to celebrate the win than with some Freddie's custard! I want to thank Giana for the wonderful and fun experience as she had a great attitude to help us celebrate our big event! Thank you!“
“We decided to dine at Runza Restaurant on 1/7/23. We had great service and the food was great. As I was ordering in the drive thru, a car opened their doors and yelled “Hey Papi” zestily. I was immediately flustered and flabbergasted at the aggressive catcall that I missed the window which poorly placed and not well marked for drivers. I had to drive my car all the way around again. Didn’t love that.“
“The guy taking my order was very thorough asking if all toppings on the burger were ok. This was my first time eating there and although the burger was made well, it just isn’t my favorite. Fries were delicious and fresh. Workers were very friendly.“
“This was not at all what I expected when we came!! It's definitely got a local hang out place vibe more than your typical restaurant does. They have daily deals, which seem to be great pricing. The tots are delicious and plenteous! The spicy steak wrap is spicy!! The chipotle chicken wrap was yummy!“
“Love their fries! Their burgers are tasty, too. But they are smashed pretty thin with a big bun. So ratio is low on the meat unless you get a double smash burger, then it’s too much. Don’t care for custard malts. Too fluffy. But sundaes are good. It’s always cold to sit indoors. Pretty common in today’s typical restaurants.“
“Runza has certainly exceeded my expectations for a fast food restaurant. Dining at this location was my first experience with Runza, and certainly will not be the last. The onion rings were crispy and sweet. The blend of meat and cabbage, together with the unique flavour reminds me of the fabulous meat buns in Japan. Cannot wait to become their first customer outside Nebraska should they choose to venture in Texas some day!“
“Great service and good food. Lunch companion raved about the hamburger made exactly to his order. I snitched a bite and agree it was delicious. For me, I got the last of the breakfast biscuits and gravy. I expected the biscuits to be tough because it was actually lunchtime. But they were tender and delicious. A pleasant first time experience.“
“If you want a place to go and feel comfortable and have a good time Ejs is it. The new owners and staff are great! The food is excellent! We just had the stadium nachos it has homemade Pico and homemade salsa. I HIGHLY recommend them. They are the bomb!!!!!“
“The chicken berry salad is good. Love the onion rings! Regular Runza, YUM! Some of the best fries in the city! Cookie ice cream sandwich! (No, I didn't eat all of this in one visit ?)Friendly staff. The man at the counter was helpful and had a good sense of humor.I put four stars on "Atmosphere" because I, myself, can't stand the minimalist, industrial look Runza went to.The prices are getting a bit ridiculous. Not paying $2+ for a small pop.But I'll still go as a treat to myself once in a while.Vegetarian options: There would be a few things available. I suggest calling the restaurant.Dietary restrictions: I suggest calling the restaurant for more information.Parking: We had gotten there just after the lunch rush.Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, handicapped and disabled could navigate this restaurant.“
“I've always enjoyed HopCat for its convenience and just the variety of beers on tap. Solid food, good drinks, not outstanding but is a great spot to just hang out and have a good time with friends. Nashville Hot Wings 8.2/10 - Little underwhelming on the “Nashville Hot” flavor, but wings were cooked fantastic. Flats over drumsticks, always. Would definitely try some of the other flavors. Go to appetizer with this one. Classic Chicken Caesar 6.8/10 - Admittedly, I'm a Caesar Salad fanatic. Dave Portnoy does pizza, I do Caesar Salads. With that said, can't expect a ton from a salad at a brew pub. Lettuce was fine, pretty lightly dressed (almost dry), and chicken was to be expected. Bonus points for the shaved parmesan they use to top, but take those away for the generic croutons thrown in it. Filled me up, but wasn't really expecting much with it. Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich 7.1/10 - Should have known better doubling up on flavors like I did, but I had too much faith in it. Chicken was pretty heavily breaded, and didn't quite have the thickness I'd like in a chicken sandwich. Biggest miss here I think is the contrast texture/flavor that any good Nashville Hot needs! Where is the coleslaw?! As much hate as it gets, a nice cooler from the heat along with a texture change is a must. Still though, good choice overall. Hangover Burger 7.7/10 - Solid choice for a burger, all the breakfast fixes on it (hash brown, over easy egg). Pretzel buns are delicious but for me sometimes are a little heavy. Only finished about half of it, but without trying some of the other items would have easily smashed it. Can't miss with that one. Hope you all appreciate my review!“
“Friendly staff, the store was very clean, and a lot of space for movement. Service was fast and efficient.Vegetarian options: Veggie burger and other options.Parking: Parking in the area was easy today.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space, nice throwback decor. drinks for kids, pretty good selection of cold creamery products.?“
“Good food, great ice cream. Staff seems overwhelmed at times. We ordered Sundays from there and waited for a while, wondering where they were. Turns out, they were made immediately, but no one communicated it. Our Sundays were melted to soup. The staff remade them, though, and apologized for it. That makes me go back there every time.“
“We got "take-out" yesterday evening but at a time when the staff were super busy w/ drive-thru & in-house customers. About 20 min. later we left for home. When we got there, our lg. Mexi-fries & 2 mini-cups of cheese sauce were missing. I returned about a half-hour later, staff were very apologetic & eager to make the omission right. The staff were young & working hard, made up the Mexi-fries & even included an Amigos gift card to compensate for the inconvenience. Very nice, we'll be going back again! Tell the staff "Thank you"!!“
“Tasty little fast food joint!TL:DRGreat, quick stop on the outskirts of Lincoln. Tasty runza, and don't sleep on the southwest chicken salad!Details:Stopped in on the way through town because my wife suggested I try Runza. (Yes, this was my first time.)They have perfected this tasty little concoction of a sandwich, and the onion rings are great! My wife got the southwest chicken, and I was a bit jealous when I tasted how good it was! Also tried their mint shake, and you should too!Overall, great meal and dessert!“
“Easy to find. Did a mobile order and was ready on time. Everything was made right. The staff was helpful. Everything was kept clean. The cheeseburger is a must, and if you’re feeling extra hungry add large fries. The self serve soda machine lets you choose what ever you like and it’s touch screen. Good spot for lunch or easy dinner.Parking: Parking right in front .“
“I had the Shredded Pork Bowl topped with everything I wanted on it ... Probably THE BEST single item I've EVER had from an Amigos restaurant! Too bad the one on Q St had to close! Some places down in that area are just overrated anyways!“
“I always love honest abes. The burgers are great and they will show you something unique to try. Shakes are a must buy as well. This is the location I first started going to and the staff area super friendly and the atmosphere is my favorite of all the locations.“
