“We were on our way back to Denver and deciding whether to just stop at McDonalds or try something local. Searched best breakfast near me and Louie's showed up. We were not disappointed. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by THE Louie, then pretty sure his son. We had two young ladies assist us that could not have been friendlier if they tried. We really enjoy places with character and charm, and this place is literally covered in it with historical posters, photos, and signs that are reminiscent of when neither them nor the place was considered historical. It is clear the diner has been very well cared for. The age is apparent, but it is very clean and comfortable. The food is simple in concept (diner food), but well executed in flavor. We had the Italian omelet, biscuits and gravy, SpongeBob French Toast, and kids egg and toast. I was intrigued by the Texas Chili omelet and will be trying that at home but know I won't make it as good as it likely is at Louie's. When I got the check, I was shocked it didnt cost more. The other places I eye-balled definitely would have. This was such a comfortable place, and we did not regret our choice.“

“As someone with Celiac, it's hard to find a GOOD place to eat where the staff is also kind to you and doesn't treat you like an inconvenience because of Celiac. I tried the Charred Burger Bar in Omaha today and will definitely be back! The waygu beef was 10/10 but I was just very impressed by the GF bun that didn't fall apart immediately, and wasn't gritty, as well as the fact that they have a separate fryer for fries + GF friendly oil. The server also had a list of celiac safe dips and sauces! Win win.“

“Ventured in to try the pork schnitzel. Always looking for a authentic German style meal. It came pretty close, not sold on the sour cream dill sauce. Next time I'll sub with the brown gravy. I'll be back when the schnitzel craving hits. One thing, staff could open the blinds once the sun sets. It would help not make it feel so dark and closed in.“

“Visiting and popped into this little gem. This place has been around for years and was of my friends favorite spots for pizza.

We ordered a small meat pizza and it was perfect. It took about 15 min to get our little pie and it was worth it.

I’ve had New York style pizza which I love. I’m not sure but maybe it’s a Midwest style pizza and I found it quite enjoyable. I loved the cheese on top and not too saucy as well as the crust was not overly bready.

All and all I would totally recommend this spot if you are in the area!“

“We were visiting Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway meeting and many restaurants were fully booked Friday night. Sand Point had availability and we are so happy it did. The staff were helpful and we decided on raw oysters to start. They were absolutely delicious so we ordered more. I had the tuna and it was perfectly seared, incredibly tender and perfectly accompanied with asparagus and vegetable purée and a hint of citrus. We also ordered champagne. They were out of the brand we ordered. The owner came to the table with a great alternative which we happily accepted. She stayed and chatted for a few minutes and we learned that she wants to add an oyster bar to the restaurant which would be a great addition. Our server was very attentive and we ended the meal with a chocolate tart that was decadent. We highly recommend this restaurant. I hope we can come back soon.“

“I gotta share about the best service we got at Freddy's tonight on 3465 N. 168th Ct. We stopped in there to eat dinner and was greeted by a kid name Chard, he had a the biggest smile on his face, so polite, and honestly seemed happy he work's there. He never stopped working while we were there eating, he was cleaning tables sweeping, and greeted everyone that came in with a smile and was just happy to see us. The place was spotless, who ever was cooking did a great job, and the kitchen was spotless. I highly recommend this place not just for the food, but the customer service was excellent. Looking for a place for a quick meal go check them out. My cheeseburger and onion rings were delicious, fresh and hot. Thanks to the staff at Freddy's especially Chard!! “Great food and atmosphere but needs work on handling large crowds for events. Tonight my fiance and I had a wild experience lol. Arrived knowing we would wait, was quoted 30 min to 1 hour. Agreed and took a seat at the bar for drinks, table was available within the 30 min time frame which was great. Was seated and didn’t see a server for 35 minutes, we expected a wait and wasn’t too bothered at this point over it. Once the server came over to us he said he thought we were being taken care of already since I had a drink from the bar. We brushed it off and placed our drinks and food order at that time. My food came out within 5 minutes and we were pretty stunned with how quick that came considering how packed it was. Now, after 10 min of him not getting his order and we also didn’t have our drinks we looked around to find someone to ask. I called out to the server and the manager several times, but didn’t succeed in grabbing their attention and fiance didn’t want me to get up and find someone. 40 minutes after my food arrived the server came up to us and I asked about his food and our drinks. I said well just take our bill and a to go box for mine. He did bring out my fiancés order and removed it from the bill. We understand it’s not entirely the servers fault but overall we were pretty bummed since we do enjoy this spot for the atmosphere and the food has always been good. A few other tables also were saying they had similar experiences tonight and also just wanted their bills as well.“

“A newbie & loved this great pub with tasty food. A pizza place but much more. Taco Tuesday, perfectly crisped soft shell choice of 2, beef, chix or shrimp. We ordered the chips & salsa...the queso was the hidden gem. This place, very attentive and customer focused, food A+, prices very affordable, atmosphere was cozy & quaint. Can't wait to enjoy the large summer patio.“

“Oh my goodness I could have cried eating here tonight. I'm from San Diego CA so im used to the food and it is so awesome to be able to get it in Nebraska now and I love introducing new people to the amazing flavors that take me back to my raising. But tonight was different. My husband and I walked in with our youngest kids and it had been a long day and we probably looked a mess but the young lady behind the counter didn't even bat an eyelash she gave me the respect of every put together customer that came before me and will come after me. I would definitely say they get a 100% on the friendliness and professionalism owed mostly to Zaire(im sure I didn't spell that right). Proof that people can raise up good people even in these tumultuous times we live in.

“I am very familiar with Culver's and have eaten there in a few states. The food was consistent with what you'd expect at any Culvers. My only issue was, it did take quite a bit of time to get the food. I almost thought they forgot about me.

Also the ketchup dispensers were not really working all that well. It took a look of action to get some ketchup.“

I went through the drive thru the next day and as soon as I said my name, the cashier knew the situation and they replaced my entire meal with great attitudes. Excellent food and excellent service! “I visited runs on a day when they were running a special promotion and they were very busy. I went through the drive-thru and I was amazed at how quickly the line was working. Their food was fresh as usual. It appears to almost be made to order which is unusual for a fast food restaurant. The staff was great and the place was very clean“

The associates are always friendly and accommodating, even when they're swamped, and the food is generaply prepared/assembled with more care than the average fast food joint, i.e. no smushed buns; wonky patties; old chx fries that have been sitting under a heat lamp for 2 hrs; etc.“

“Our friends were in town and looking for a sandwich/burger/salad casual setting on their way to the airport, and they picked this location.

TBH, when I called to find out if reservations were needed and learned that it was in a Holiday Inn, which also had a water park; I shared this with them hoping they would change their minds as I had visions of chaos and kids running around screaming at the top of their lungs - not the setting I wanted to be in for our last visit with them before they left, never mind one that I would ever want to be in as I have noise issues, and I’m quick to develop a headache, and it’s hard for me to relax and hear/enjoy conversation in loud environments.

We arrived and the smell of chlorine from the waterpark was a bit strong when walking into the hotel lobby.

But, once we got into the restaurant I could not smell it; and, much to my relief there was only one other person in the entire restaurant/bar.

Cody was the lone man running in the place - bar, service, kitchen.

He was very professional but yet real and conversational, and an absolute joy to interact with. He even tolerated us gals’ unintentional silliness.

Food was very good! We enjoyed a Caesar salad, chicken strips, a bacon+ burger, nacho fries, onion rings, and fried pickles; amongst our group.

I am very picky in numerous ways, and having been in the hospitality industry for a portion of my adulthood - anyone who gets a positive review for me, has truly earned it.

If noise and kiddos are not of concern to you, this location would be a great fit at any time.

If you need/like quiet, then a Sunday midday/afternoon when the majority of checkouts have occurred, would be ideal for you.“
