“We went to Shirley’s this morning for breakfast. The environment was nice, relaxed and quiet. The staff was friendly and attentive. I got a side of biscuits and gravy; The biscuits were delicious and fluffy! I also got a waffle as a side, which was also good. My friend got the chicken fried steak, hash browns, and scrambled eggs along with pancakes. He liked all his food. We’d recommend this restaurant for sure!“

“I would like to thank Block 16 for helping my unintentional bulking phase that lasted for 2 years when I lived downtown. This unique spot was my go-to for lunch and dinner whenever I was feeling too lazy to cook at my apartment. Beware - If you follow them on social media the temptation to head over will overwhelm you as they post their new food creations throughout the week. Some of the food posts seem like they are concocted by a mad scientist, other limited time menu items are staples in the food world, but just done better. The common theme here is everything I have ever ordered is top notch. Block 16 is one of the more unique places to eat in Omaha, and anytime I have friends from out of town ask for a recommendation, I point them this direction as a downtown option. Block 16 isn't scared to bend the rules of what french fries should be topped with and they certainly don't worry about the logistics of stuffing a full entree into a sandwich. They are lovers of food and their menu that varies throughout the month reflects that. They have some staple items that are always available but there are new things to try out almost every time you go. The only thing I could give some criticism on is dining-in can be a little tough sometimes with their setup but this is more due to the popularity of the place and limited dining space. But let's be honest, you go here for the food, not the tables.“

“As someone with Celiac, it's hard to find a GOOD place to eat where the staff is also kind to you and doesn't treat you like an inconvenience because of Celiac. I tried the Charred Burger Bar in Omaha today and will definitely be back! The waygu beef was 10/10 but I was just very impressed by the GF bun that didn't fall apart immediately, and wasn't gritty, as well as the fact that they have a separate fryer for fries + GF friendly oil. The server also had a list of celiac safe dips and sauces! Win win.“

“Had to hit up Freddy's while visiting Omaha recently - my boyfriend insisted that I try it. It was delish! Made hot and fresh. I had a double burger, onion rings, and good old-fashioned vanilla ice cream with hot Carmel sauce! Everything was hot, tasty, and satisfying! But the older woman who took our order was so friendly and joyful. She provided great service and the young people working together there were so happy and chatty. A pleasure!“

“Visiting and popped into this little gem. This place has been around for years and was of my friends favorite spots for pizza.

We ordered a small meat pizza and it was perfect. It took about 15 min to get our little pie and it was worth it.

I’ve had New York style pizza which I love. I’m not sure but maybe it’s a Midwest style pizza and I found it quite enjoyable. I loved the cheese on top and not too saucy as well as the crust was not overly bready.

All and all I would totally recommend this spot if you are in the area!“

“A newbie & loved this great pub with tasty food. A pizza place but much more. Taco Tuesday, perfectly crisped soft shell choice of 2, beef, chix or shrimp. We ordered the chips & salsa...the queso was the hidden gem. This place, very attentive and customer focused, food A+, prices very affordable, atmosphere was cozy & quaint. “Great food and atmosphere but needs work on handling large crowds for events. Tonight my fiance and I had a wild experience lol. Arrived knowing we would wait, was quoted 30 min to 1 hour. Agreed and took a seat at the bar for drinks, table was available within the 30 min time frame which was great. Was seated and didn’t see a server for 35 minutes, we expected a wait and wasn’t too bothered at this point over it. Once the server came over to us he said he thought we were being taken care of already since I had a drink from the bar. We brushed it off and placed our drinks and food order at that time. My food came out within 5 minutes and we were pretty stunned with how quick that came considering how packed it was. Now, after 10 min of him not getting his order and we also didn’t have our drinks we looked around to find someone to ask. I called out to the server and the manager several times, but didn’t succeed in grabbing their attention and fiance didn’t want me to get up and find someone. 40 minutes after my food arrived the server came up to us and I asked about his food and our drinks. I said well just take our bill and a to go box for mine. He did bring out my fiancés order and removed it from the bill. We understand it’s not entirely the servers fault but overall we were pretty bummed since we do enjoy this spot for the atmosphere and the food has always been good. A few other tables also were saying they had similar experiences tonight and also just wanted their bills as well.“

“I gotta share about the best service we got at Freddy's tonight on 3465 N. 168th Ct. We stopped in there to eat dinner and was greeted by a kid name Chard, he had a the biggest smile on his face, so polite, and honestly seemed happy he work's there. He never stopped working while we were there eating, he was cleaning tables sweeping, and greeted everyone that came in with a smile and was just happy to see us. The place was spotless, who ever was cooking did a great job, and the kitchen was spotless. I highly recommend this place not just for the food, but the customer service was excellent. This is the new building shape. However it is slightly smaller than others. The inside feels like an older Runza with how small it is. I can see everything from where I sit inside.

The meal was good, I got my icecream quite quickly much before my main meal. The onion rings were good, and the Runza was quite appetizing.

“I visited runs on a day when they were running a special promotion and they were very busy. I went through the drive-thru and I was amazed at how quickly the line was working. Their food was fresh as usual. It appears to almost be made to order which is unusual for a fast food restaurant. The staff was great and the place was very clean“

“I had a bad experience at Runza on 5/4/26, where I was charged for 2 meals, but only purchased 1 meal. Initially, I was told, by whomever answered the phone, claiming to be a manager, there was nothing he could do for me since I didn't report it the same day and I swore I would never eat there again. My friend/coworker went to Runza this afternoon and Jason, the manager asked if she was the one who was overcharged. I had just told her about the incident, so she was able to tell him it was me. He said he had been trying to reach me. She came back with his phone number and I called. Jason was so nice and apologized for the inconvenience and for whomever I spoke to. We even figured out what happened. Runza is now back in my good graces, and I will continue to eat there. Jason was absolutely AWESOME and determined to make things right with me and I appreciate the lengths he was willing to go to, to make it right. There should be more managers like Jason.“

“Lighthouse has some of the best food I've ever had at a bar & grill. The El Diablo pizza is by far my favorite item on the menu although over the numerous times me and my friends have come here we have yet to find anything that wasn't positively delicious. At the end of long hard days, we always agree that ice cream sounds like an amazing idea. We are blessed to have multiple different ice cream businesses in our vicinity, but tonight we chose Culver’s. I was exhausted and probably at half brain power. While ordering, I interacted with Justin and had a few questions because I hadn’t been to a Culver’s in forever and wasn’t familiar with the logistics of the menu.
