“Great place to get coffee to go or sweet treats. Some of the baked items are ordered in but I think they make the desserts. The drinks menu is huge and there are a lot of options for breakfast. The atmosphere inside wasn’t very relaxing. It was pretty dark and there were large boxes of supplies around. Not really the kind of place to work remotely or meet with clients but there are tables and a couch available.“

“Wow. What a find Lil’s Cafe was! Our family stopped in Kittery for the night while heading to Acadia. I love finding unique coffee spots and Lil’s was so much more than I expected! Seeing the pastries and hearing all the recommendations from the locals, we knew we had to get more than coffee. The crullers and almond croissant were out of this world! Melt in your mouth deliciousness. I’m looking forward to another visit to Kittery just to go to Lil’s. 😊“

“Update - 8:00PM March 8, gave the location another try and had a much better experience. The woman working was friendly and, though there was still a couple minute wait at the window (she looked to be in the middle of something), my coffee and sandwich came out right away. I drove away with a smile.Old - 8:00PM March 7, two brightly lit neon signs that say “Open,” the radio playing music inside, but here I am sitting at the drive through window for over 5 minutes and didn’t even see movement inside. No other customers as far as I could tell. Left without ordering.“

The coffee was outstanding and the breakfast sandwiches were amazing gooey goodness! Unexpected was the delightfully curated gift shop. “Until I moved here never heard of Aroma Joe's learned they are plentiful in Maine and their products are great but its their staff that makes it. Those folks are amazing and if you have never experienced the making of specialty drinks it is an art that requires patience and attention to detail in a fairly speedy manner and the young lady that waited on me is the perfect person for the job. She was EXCEPTIONAL. I will update this post to reflect her name she deserves a million 5 star reviews.“

“Went on Sunday. Was a bit nervous because of the varied reviews however, we are so glad we tried it. The iced tea was fresh and strong, my pancakes were big and fluffy loaded with blueberries. The staff was attentive but they do seem a little frazzled. The restaurant is clean and spacious and again the food was great.“
