“Went for the first time, got 2 drinks and the pretzels and beer cheese. Everything was good but what stood out the most was how friendly everyone working was. From the food runners to the bartenders and servers, they were all kind to everyone and each other. To me, that speaks volumes about a business and how it's run. Great experience, will definitely return!“

“This place has been on our list of restaurants we have wanted to try for quite some time. What a gem! Cozy, interesting atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and expansive menu! Always amazes me to discover such great places in off-the-beaten-track areas. All four of us were very satisfied with our meals, drinks and desserts. Service was stellar. Definitely making this a regular choice as one of our more local gathering places. Hard 5 stars!“

“Gary's witty humor and stories from the good old days, the pellet stove running, classic rock playing on the jukebox and cheap drinks... a New Hampshire throwback. Nice to step back in time for just a moment, keep your phone in the car and trade some jokes. Newsflash - Milton isn't Newburyport or Portsmouth... if you are expecting luxury and to be coddled, this is the wrong place for you. Entitled people of this day and age that love to find reasons to be offended will probably find a trivial reason to be perturbed. Everyone else... well this is your refuge, free of insufferable entitled people that often make bars/restaurants of the seacoast and MA devoid of fun and the ability to relax.“
“My wife and I stopped by Johnson's Marketplace not knowing anything about it, we were greeted by a very employee (early Sunday morning)we just wanted a simple breakfast sandwich, while he was on the grill we had a chance to look around I was pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness and the organization of all of the displays of fresh cut meats and seafood followed by a large display soda, beer ,wine. Buy the way my sauge ,cheese, egg and hard roll was over the top.“

“Since Knotty Pine is less than a mile from us, we eat there often. The menu doesn't change often which aggravates me but the specials are changed regularly which helps. Some good, some so so. The staff are great and friendly. Some nights the dining room is not open so the wait for the bar is too long. Needs to open more often than Thursday-Sunday especially in summer months!“
