“Nice place for a good dinner. Large portions. Friendly staff. Clean. And they have a good tomato sauce. We had the seafood platter which was loaded with lobster, shrimp, scallops, calamari, and chicken parmesan. Both were very good. We also had dessert. It's a family-type restaurant that gets pretty busy on the weekends. Also, it gets pretty loud, like getting together with your whole family for Sunday sauce!“

The fish soup broth was not enough, it's kinda hard to scoop off the soup to your bowl, they offered if you want more broth, but then less flavorful after they add with just the base broth without seasoning.
Garlic shrimp was the highlight of the dinner.

“I ordered the Sweet and Sour Squirrel Bass and Shanghai Smoked Fish. The smoked fish tasted so authentic — just like what I had in Suzhou! Perfectly marinated, flavorful, and not greasy at all. The squirrel bass was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and cooked to perfection. The fish is freshly prepared — they literally have a tank right by the entrance, so you know it’s super fresh!“

As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. Wow! Firstly, very lovely first impression walking in and being seated. I am a big fan of the robin-egg colored tableware and the Miniso Dundun chicken timers lol. The place felt very clean and fresh, upon arriving.

Food:
The broth was extremely rich and flavorful! Genuinely tasted like it was prepared for a long time (10 hours) just like they advertise! It tasted very savory and it pairs well with the chicken and the other sides! The fish maw white fungus, chinese yam, pumpkin, and hand pulled noodles were all very fresh and high quality. I personally loved how chewy the noodles were after cooking it!

Our order was 2 servings it felt like a reasonable price. Definitely satisfied with the portion size given that we felt pretty full afterwards.

Service felt very welcoming and friendly.

“Simply known as 'The Armory' this mainly seafood place has an old wartime feel, big brick building with lots of windows along the water/pier/outside bar. We walked in and were greeted and seated within 5 minutes. Amazing menu, nothing bad at all (four of us all tried different items), the calimari is not overly crunch, the pork chops were thick and well cooked/cut, I had jumbo shrimp, but the word jumbo doesn't do the dish justice. Extremely well curated menu, sangria was to die for, and we had a pinapple/cinnimon dessert that was really good (light because the meal was so heavy). Don't have to dress up, a nice button down shirt and nice shorts/pants for men is just fine, but don't go like a slob, it's still a nice place. Lots of birthdays and celebrations going on, for us it was a saturday night dinner with old friends. Thank you Armory, the service and food were top notch!!!“

“It would be easy to overlook this place. It’s buried way in the back of a strip mall. The interior ambience isn’t anything to brag about, either. Yet it is a true gem with amazing food at good prices and excellent service. My wife and I each ordered pizzas. She got the 12” Chicken Pesto and I ordered the 12” Meat Lover’s. Both came out promptly. It was amazing, the best pizza I’ve had in years. I can’t say too many good things about it. Everything was in perfect harmony, a symphony of umami and cheese. Meatballs, sausage, bacon. It had it all. Each bite a delight. My wife also loved her pizza. We stopped in on a Monday on the way up north for a show. There were a few tables occupied but I would imagine it probably gets busy on weekends. Even so, I would make a point of stopping in here again next time I’m passing through the area at dinner time.“

“I have been frequenting this place with family since I was incredibly young. The fried fish always hits the craving! The fresh fish is great as well. Incredible porgy and flounder. Everything remains consistent and delicious in the family special with tartar sauce. The shrimp however has changed over the years and was over battered and not clean.
