“The atmosphere was fantastic, with a great bohemian vibe. The food was excellent, but the service could definitely be improved. The special was never mentioned to us, even though it was what we initially wanted. Our water wasn’t refilled, and we had to ask multiple times. Additionally, an extra drink was added to our tab, and the complementary birthday drink was not removed.

We visited on a Sunday evening, and several items—one appetizer, two entrées, and two desserts—were sold out, but we weren’t informed until we tried to order them.“

“This place is deceptively bigger than expected. Decorated nicely with a good amount of simplicity. For eight of us, we got the Peruvian combo and full Jalea platter. It definitely fed all of us with some left over. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit dry and under seasoned and there wasn't any fish with the Jalea platter. Our server was a bit pushy on getting more pitchers of sangria and tried several times to clear the table while we were still eating (a friend may have snapped a little bit to the server that we're not done after the fourth attempt of clearing the table).“

“It’s my go to place for lunch, fresh and delicious choices, simply menu, not overwhelming. Staff are friendly, service is fast, the space is clean, bright, and well organized. Although there are only couple seats inside, it doesn’t feel crowded. I love the bold flavors and colors of every dish, beef, chicken, shrimp, tuna, tofu, and mushroom bowls are all amazing. Highly recommended!“

“I sat in for dinner on a Sunday evening. We had the seafood paella, the pesto pasta, and the Causa! The food was amazing. I didn’t know what I expect as I’ve never had Peruvian food but I think it’s my new favorite spot!! Ingredients were so fresh and flavors were incredible. The atmosphere was also very cute - great vibes, fun bar and good drinks. Highly recommend!“

“This is a local Chinese/Peruvian food restaurant that gives new meaning to Chinese food! This fusion of flavors is amazing! I’ve had the steak with tostones, their chicharrón de pollo & many other delectable dishes. They also have a nice bar & make excellent Pisco sours which I can’t find in too many places! I live in Rockland County & the hubby & I take the trip about monthly just to eat here! Nothing fancy about the restaurant but definitely good eats! Highly recommend! The hubby &!I will definitely be back! 😋😋😋“

“It's the first time I was there, because it was the restaurant with the best rating, in the area, I really recommend it, in 23 years in this country, I ate the best green noodles with steak, 😋 💯
And a parihuela, seafood soup, its delicious chicha morada, its portions are well served, I loved it“

“Definitely one the best restaurants in the Brooklyn area. Has a unique cuisine & the atmosphere is very chill & service is great. My favorite dish is the Salmon D’ Oro which is a green rice wit peas & peppers, very well marinated & on top of rice is a crispy salmon & salsa criolla. I always look forward to coming here. “Long time neighborhood favorite for roast chicken served with a tangy garlic sauce. Spacing between tables is generous, staff is nice and helpful, and there's a pleasant track of Peruvian Andes music to set the mood. We chose to share their Peruvian Chicken platter, a $60 combo with a whole grilled chicken that melted off the bone; a large salad with tomatoes, lettuce and avocado; and a large plate of freshly made French fries. It's hard to eat on the UWS for $30 these days, and we had plenty to take home, so we thought it was a great casual meal option. Menu also features ceviche and Latin dishes like beans n'rice and yucca, skirt steak etc. A diverse group of neighbors, some elderly, gal pals, students and couples were obviously enjoying their meals, too.“

“Ended up finding L’Punto by accident with my family. The food was amazing, really good portions and fresh. There is a lot of verity in the menu (seafood/meats/etc) which accommodated the different tastes that my family of five has. The ruleta marina is a must. Will revisit for sure. A+

Two main dishes are probably enough for 3 people as portions are generous though not outrageously so.“

“You can never go wrong with a lomo saltado or a classic, original and how it’s supposed to be made, ceviche. The flavors were out of this world. Meat was cooked perfectly, sauce was perfect. The fettuccini with the homemade sauce was ridiculous. Gonna try making it at home for sure!! The ceviche was really good, the puréed sweet potato was a nice touch. Wish i had a bit more of a portion but all in all, very very good!“

I had the double fried wings and sloppy joe bao bun for a starter and each dish was better than the last. the wings were super crispy yet tender inside and the sloppy joe bao buns were a trip down memory lane. the sloppy brought me back to my childhood eating at a friend's house. for my ramen I had the tonkatu. their pork broth was hearty and tasteful and reminded me of my first bowl of real ramen. “This is my fourth time here I always stop by for lunch special ($12.00) today they got Chicken Soup to start with delicious. As a main course I chose the lo Lomo saltado which in my opinion was a let down because Lomo Saltado main ingredients is tomato + onion as a baseline however, in my plate I got one small piece of tomato which made the flavor difference than what it supposed to be.
Also it was loaded with potatoes which in turn made it dry. In my opinion it should come with a bit more juice because of the potatoes plus rice.
It was a let down because so far I like the food here always fresh and like mom daily cooking.
Don’t let the quality suffer because this hole in the wall so far its been good.
The place looks clean and the bathroom was ok.
Also I will appreciate and I guess all Peruvians eating at this restaurant to serve Ají Huacatay with lunch.“
