“Not even exaggerating: this was one of my favorite dining experiences to date! Had a surprise birthday party for a friend in one of the private back rooms, and the staff was so accomodating, helpful, and friendly. Our waiter, Chris, was especially awesome: he was super sociable and patient with any questions we had about the food, the hotpot process, and splitting the check. The energy of this place was so warm and inviting- anyone looking to host a night out with friends: rest assured, you will have a great time and memorable experience here. I haven't even started talking about the food.

The wagyu beef is absolutely worth the cost. There are more affordable items on the menu and they are also yummy but guess what? Everything felt priced so accordingly that it is 100% worth spending that extra money on those special menu items. The thin wagyu melts so perfectly into the delicious broths, the thought of it will keep me up at night. Treat yourself and get that meat!!

And my god. The broths. Holy cow. I got the spicy broth, and it was the perfect level of heat* that, combined with the huge selection of sauces, made the proteins and noodles DIVINE... THE RICE CAKES TOO omg.. The tofu, fish balls, and mushrooms were all also really well sourced, just really premium products priced very modestly for how quality they all were. *note: be ready for the peppers that have the slightly numbing/tingling effect- not on a Szechuan level, but a nice and perfect build that makes each ingredient have a beautiful taste profile.

We had the table with personal pots/induction stoves, so all the proteins/veggies we shared, but we would also pass along samples of the other broths to each other, and I wish I had ordered my own bowl of the seasonal vietnamese pho broth too because the one small bowl I sampled was heavenly.

I will definitely be back again to try the drinks, they looked fantastic and the ambience of the bar felt so nice.

“i went & i lovedddd the guy working there!!! he was so funny & it just immediately felt like i was a regular, despite having been there for the first time. the sauce options were CRAZYYYY and yummy as hell. the only thing i would change is that the wings were slightly burnt on the outside, but it wasn’t unbearable to deal with. the sauce is what made the wings soooo good“

“Surprised to find decent Xinjiang food in Manhattan.

Ding ding fried noodles were quite authentic, just a bit salty. Lamb pilaf wasn’t greasy, which I liked. Lamb skewers were tender and not gamey.

Service was okay but a bit inexperienced — had to remind for water.

“I absolutely love this place. The Pho here is seriously the best pho I’ve ever had. It’s extremely flavorful, the noodles always come out perfectly soft and the meat perfectly cooked. They have sauces at the table available like Sriracha , Hoisin Sauce and a Homemade Chili sauce. Their spring rolls are very refreshing and pairs deliciously with their peanut sauce. Their fried spring rolls are also super amazing, always come out hot and delicious which also pair nicely with the fish sauce they serve it with. Their Jasmine Boba Tea is to dieeee for, as well as their Avocado Shakes. I also recommend the bowl that comes with BBQ Pork, salad and Vermicelli noodles. The service is always quick and their servers are super kind. I believe the older couple who is always there are the owners and they are absolute sweethearts. Its hard to find good Indian food and I must say, I've been coming here for more than 20 years and I still will be coming more and more! Out of all the restaurants in parsippany & Rt 46, I specially come down to Wayne to eat this amazing food. my fav is the sag panir, malai kofta, and vegetable biryani. I love the one waitress and how she explained the spice levels according to chiptole and taco bell! the uncle who is the owner always greets everyone like hes known them for years. Like we are family, its heart warming since i dont live with my family. Amazing food, amazing people and amazing prices!“

“We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.

The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

Dinner companion Eileen orders the shrimp in green sauce every time and is in heaven. “We were in the area and wanted some Chinese food, so we looked around the area and saw that this was one of the higher-rated places. I also noticed that they only take cash and do phone orders. We called on the phone, placed our order, then made our way over. We paid in cash and got the food. I ordered the boneless spare ribs combination platter, which comes with a roast pork egg roll and roast pork fried rice. We also got a small wonton soup. The boneless spare ribs were really good, striking a good balance between the sweet and savory that boneless spare ribs typically have. The roast pork egg roll was delicious and savory. Everything else, though, was not as good. The roast pork fried rice was pretty bland, as were the wontons and the broth that the wontons came with. For the price, though, it was reasonable, so I am not too upset.“

“Darke Pines is easily one of my favorite spots to grab a sandwich in Jersey City. Honestly, I haven't had a bad sandwich from these guys. The staff there is always super friendly and willing to help with any questions. Pretty much everything is made in house, and what isn't is top quality. They have a seasonal list of sandwiches and periodic specials (the Cuban! The heirloom tomato sandwich! The Chicago beef!) In addition to the sandwiches, they're a full butcher shop that also sells gourmet goods. I bought burgers from them for 4th of July and they were out of this world. If you live in JC and haven't been here, go. If you're not from JC make a trip.“

“We had dinner at Olive Garden and overall it was a really good experience.

The food was delicious and well-prepared. We ordered the bolognese and the Seafood Alfredo, and both dishes were rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The portions were generous as well as they have refills of salad and soup with the entrees.

Service was also great throughout our visit, the staff were nice, friendly, and made sure everything came out in good time.

The only small downside was being charged for table games that were already placed on the table without using it.

Aside from that, everything was excellent, and we would still happily return for another meal.“

“I was in the area with my daughter and we found Green Chop’s. We decided to try it because it looked delicious and healthy. My daughter (6) ordered the chicken noodle soup and she loved it, ate the whole thing! And I got the House Special salad, super delicious packed with veggies, chicken and a very good dressing.
