“R Bar in Asbury Park is a standout destination that masterfully transports the soul of New Orleans to the Jersey Shore. The Crab Beignets with Creole remoulade are incredible for an appetizer. We had the crawfish pasta for dinner and that was just as delicious.
For dessert we had the Beignets and the strawberry churro cake. They were both great choices and a perfect way to end the meal.

Afterwards we stayed around for a couple drinks because the atmosphere is very welcoming.

While we were there, we got to me 3 of the owners. Casey, Kelly and Lindsey were all so nice and so willing to talk with us. Plus our waitress, Kieura, was so nice, friendly and gave us great recommendations.

I say all that to say, R Bar is a place you need to try. We will definitely be back again, and again!“

The room upstairs was very spacious for our group of 40 people. It was nice to have our own bathroom and bar. The servers were friendly and attentive and also very helpful. “We’ve been going to Illiano’s nearly 36 years. It’s been great since day 1. We usually do takeout and find the pizza, subs and garlic knots to be the best in Monmouth County. When we moved out of town about 3 years ago we tried to find something that was comparable and closer, but that didn’t work out so make the trip back just about every Friday night. We highly recommend them!“

First off, loved that they have a parking lot which didn’t stress me about finding a spot cause I was going to have that adventure when I headed to the beach. I ordered the grandma’s pie and garlic knots! The grandma’s pie had pesto on it and I am a s***** for pesto!! Love the crust style being crispy. Hands down the best garlic knots I ever had! Don’t sleep on this place. It’s 3 blocks from the beach, easy parking and they deliver. I look forward to some pasta dishes on my next visit! Other key likes of mine was the aesthetic, it’s beautiful Inside but decorated to make you feel outside. I was very impressed with the kid friendly atmosphere of the chalkboard wall, beanbag seats and they even have juice boxes on hand for the kiddos. They also accommodate our tweens and teens with a pizza wing mural for their insta! They really thought of everything. The whole staff were so accommodating and genuine. “One of our friend’s favorite restaurants, we braved the downpour and flooding to arrive early to a friendly welcome. Prompt service and a great menu, especially if you like seafood and plenty of other choices, beef, chicken, pasta and pork. The Appetizers were delicious as were the desserts. The carafe of house Pino Grigio was very good as was my Chianti. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, larger than I thought it would be with a very attentive staff. Definitely worth a number of visits to sample so many entrees.“

In addition, for the first time in memory in a restaurant, we did not have our senses blasted by deafening and distorting amplification or pounding tympani. Instead of punishing us into submission, the music actually enhanced our dining experience. Why restaurants play insanely loud music at dining time is beyond me. But Scarborough Fair got it right.“

“Been going to Max’s since I was kid & they were on the Boardwalk. Still the best hot dog I’ve ever had. Also love their crispy onion rings, steak fries, zucchini fries & sweet potato fries. Other menu items look good however I cannot go to Max’s without getting their famous hot dog!“

That said, if you’re looking for a casual spot with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a solid meal after (or during) a day at the beach or walking the boardwalk, Swimcrush is a good choice.“
