“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! Lol….authentic Jamaican food is definitely a big plus for this location. They give you many options aside from their famous rice and peas with a side of chicken. They also have a variety of soups on their menu. Their prices are very fair and for that reason I will definitely be back, and this time for some good ol’ oxtails! “They hooked me up! Delicious food; good portions. I usually get oxtail from Jamaican restaurants. I'd say it's one of the top of the restaurants I've eaten from.

That said, oxtail is generally an expensive meat to buy and can be hard to cook right. So, it can be difficult to find places like this that give you a decent amount. And I've orderd from them a few times, so I can say their potion size is generally consistent from what I've seen.“

“I have been going to Alice’s for about 5 years now. I am so happy with the food especially the stew peas jerk chicken curry goat and oxtails. Even when I was trying to lay off the rice for a bit they would try to accommodate me if they had extra food (yam etc) left over from breakfast to substitute for the rice. Whenever I have visitors I get them food from there. Even persons from Jamaica love his food especially the Jerk chicken. The owners are very kind. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed. Oh and a nice surprise is that he uses oxtails in his stew peas meal 😬“

“My partner and I decided to try this place based on the reviews and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the large jerk chicken meal, macaroni and cheese, and small chicken soup! This is a hole in the wall spot! Our food was DELICIOUS! I will 100% be ordering again but a LARGE chicken soup. The soup had so much flavor and the chicken just slipped off the bone! The mac also had so much flavor and was so good! The jerk chicken was a bit spicy for me but I don’t have a high tolerance to spice. My partner said it was good! He couldn’t decide what part was his favorite and said he would go back again! The service was great! Next time you get gas, help yourself to some hearty, home cooked Jamaican food!!“

The owner is this wonderful sweet lady that, she is definitely Jamaican be a those Pattie’s hit different. The oxtails are succulent and falls off the bones, the plantain’s are sweet and crispy on the edges. If you’re looking for delicious Jamaica food go here, always call before you go because she starts cooking in the morning and at times the food isn’t ready until after 12pm but it’s very much worth the wait. ????The prices are very reasonable but those Pattie’s are to die for.“

“Came in around 8pm after worked, tired from work, didn’t want to travel for my normal place I go for my west Indian food , I find this little gem and ordered to my dietary standards, got curry goat and all veggies and food was fresh tasting and very well seasoned and tender, was a bit surprised as I don’t like trying new places , definitely will be back to try different menu options, service is great and a welcoming atmosphere.. “I like that they offer a $10 lunch special, including veg and plantain with a soda...but it's only chicken. But seriously...you not gonna oder just that! You gotta get a patty or festival or something else that catches your eye. I had the curry chicken (a little spice but good) and a beef patty, bc they were out of chicken. I ate almost everything...and I don't feel bad about it! Will visit again, but try to avoid the out of school kids.“

“Not the older women but that lady at the counter needs to be fired. Her attitude , her appearance is sooo gross that as much as I like the food it makes me spend less money in this establishment. Asking for any more sauces, chicken , utensil can send her off the deep end and because she’s is dealing with your food you are forced to play nice. The first time I figured she was having a bad day or her husband left her for that bad attitude which I can understand but it’s every SINGLE time. “Wow their food is dangerously good and rich with flavor! I had to stop myself from finishing the entire bowl. They provide huge portions. I ordered via Ubereats and I live about 10 minutes away. It was delivered very quickly. The only thing I think they can improve on is ensuring that the food is very hot for delivery. The oxtails were perfectly hot but the rice was lukewarm. I still enjoyed it thoroughly and will be ordering from them more often.“
