“If you’re looking for old school Italian, this is a great spot. They made it easy to schedule a work dinner for 9 people, and the service was quick and accurate. The Caesar salad was extremely tasty, as was my pasta dish, albeit a tad salty. The front bar area is also cozy and casual, so it’s a great place for an after work cocktail.

“Came here with a small group before a concert at the Prudential center and it was truly lovely. EP was our server and she was AMAZING. She asked us our wine preferences and perfectly different wines for the tastes of our group that were fabulous. The cheese boards here are lovely and paired with fruits, jams and crackers. The paninis are nice light bights for happy hour fare. We walked past it after the concert and it was packed with a great vibe.“

As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. They even took our group earlier than our reservation which was much appreciated as we were all from out of town and heading home immediately following lunch. She was absolutely a joy, smiling and chatting while she served us up our drinks, then meticulously prepared the dipping oil for our warm bread. After taking our order, Linda served us two very large portions. I had a pasta dish with rigatoni that was made fresh that day. (The bar is connected to an Italian restaurant, which is a separate business, but they work seamlessly to provide customers in both establishments a terrific dining experience. The live music was fabulous, with a great mix of classic hits performed by very talented musicians. We opted not to get dessert and left with our bellies full and our hearts content.
