“It was great. Great go-to place for turkish food. Everything they have is delightful. And they have an awesome liqour called rakeh I may be spelling it wrong, but thats okay! Add ice to it, and it changes colors! Finally asked what filling they use on the cheese rolls!!! I LOVE THE CHEESE ROLLS WITH HONEY. LOVE LOVE LOVE. They would absolutely be my go-to place if parking was easier. The girl that worked with me.... I forgot her name...
Runs around like a cheeta, always moving but always attentive. She is so sweet and lovely!!!! My favorite desserts of today was the kanefeh and baklava. Always loved them both. They are home-made desserts. Absolutely Divine. Will be coming by again soon. If I am lucky with parking.“

“I never thought I would find a kosher restaurant on the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy. And as far as I can tell, the closest place elsewhere you can find kosher food is in Crown Heights, which is about 2 miles away. Still, the shakshuka pita I had blew me away. That, and Eddie (the owner) helped me put on tefillin earlier. Considering it is a kosher establishment, the prices are pretty fair. Jewish or not, if you find yourself over here, try it, you won't regret it. My Orthodox friends would love this“

“Amazing. Got the shawarma plate and it was loaded. Really appreciate the portions of meat and vegetables. Delicious toppings with hummus and tahini and cucumber and cabbage and eggplant etc. Highly recommend. You will be satisfied. Great, fast service too.“

“Well, we visited as part of a food tour of NY. Being quite frank, if we had been by ourselves we might well have walked right past Mamoun's; it doesn't have the greatest frontage, and some might be put off.
But oh, my! Get in there and have yourself the best falafel around. We've travelled to many parts of north Africa and the Middle East and I can honestly say that this is the best falafel we have had - especially with that brutally gorgeous hot sauce (two bottles purchased to take back to the UK).
Definite revisit required!“

“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“My partner and I came in for dinner and he said it reminded him exactly of his Persian grandmother’s cooking. We tried both the fried Kubeh and the Kubeh soups which were incredible. Service was very friendly and the restaurant space is beautiful. We will be back the next time we are in the city for sure!“

“The food was definitely good: good portion sizes (for NYC), we especially liked the hummus and other sauces which felt authentic. Wide variety of items in the platter. Decent prices for NYC.
My only gripe is that this is a counter top takeout place and the payment system asks for 15/20/25% tip and dude was watching me as I tapped the buttons on the screen, so I felt pressured to tip for no service before even getting my food. Not unique to this place but that’s the only reason I’m not hustling back.“

“I came to Holy Pita and ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, perfectly spiced, and wrapped in fresh pita with all the right toppings. Every bite was full of flavor.
The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was fast. The restaurant itself is clean and has a great, casual vibe.
If you’re in the mood for authentic Mediterranean food, this is the spot. The chicken shawarma alone is worth the trip!“

“My first time visiting and Ahmed was so kind and welcoming! I tried the mixed platter with three different meats and two sides (I chose rice and salad). The salad was fresh and crunchy, the meat and rice were seasoned wonderfully. Every bite was delicious, and the portions were huge. It's more a restaurant vibe so give them a little time to cook the food. Overall I highly recommend and I'll be coming back!“

“Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. The prices are reasonable, and the area where the restaurant is located is very lively 🌸🌸“

“Melissa and James create soul food with modern twist -- with big flavors! I visited P&C multiple times already, with family, friends and work colleagues and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to eat modern American with a lot of love. 🍷🍸🍹Their cocktails are equally amazing and delicious, they also have a fantastic wine selection and their freshly baked Pita is a MUST! Please do go and visit P&C to also support the local restaurant community -- they deserve it! 🥰🍾🥙“

“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

“One of the best middle eastern restaurants in metro NYC. we came with a part of five and ordered up a large sample of dishes. Everything we tried was one better than the next. Super tasty humus, light, fresh and lemony. I had a stuffed chicken over rice, which was to die for. We tried the mixed grill, shawarma, Middle East platter and several salads.
Very reasonable prices. Simple brightly lit space with a lovely staff.“

“The food at this place is absolutely fantastic. With prices that are hard to beat these days, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’re getting a real deal without compromising on quality. I went with the chicken, while my dad tried the falafel, and we decided to add baba ganoush to both—it was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meals.
Our food did take a little while to arrive, but that’s only because everything is made fresh to order, which I truly appreciated. Every bite showed the care and effort that goes into each dish. Beyond the delicious food, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help, making the experience even better. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit spot—supporting this business means enjoying food that’s genuinely unbeatable.“

“This spot in on the border of Boerum Hill and Downtown Brooklyn provides an essential local feel with great food. “This location on UWS is newly opened about a few months ago. It’s quite spacious inside. It’s close to the subways. There are tables and seatings inside. It has a very nice cafe feel. During mid-afternoon, they had space to eat inside, which was nice. I got a cauliflower with brown rice and toppings bowl. It was so filling. The cauliflower is very flavorful and the right texture, not too soft. I don’t even miss the meat. It’s a good wholesome vegetarian meal for when you want a lighter bowl. I usually get their beef shawarma or kafta, but wanted to try meatless. So delicious.“
