As great and fresh as the food was, Izzy definitely went above and beyond to make a great experience even better.The food was authentic, freshly prepared but came out in a timely fashion. Baklava was light and flaky- the vanilla ice cream accompanying it had crushed pistachios on top- really went above and beyond for the little touches that might get overlooked by some clients. Shows a real pride in their food and service.Decor was of a bistro and had ample space. I did not feel crowded by other tables or patrons.Glad I happened on this restaurant. “We stumbled upon this coffee shop and in the Bronx and had to have our second hit of coffee. This cute shop imports coffee directly from Puerto Rico ?? so we knew it was gonna be bomb! The best part was that the coffee comes in a to go pouch and a straw. We order the horchata ice coffee and they also have a whiskey infused option as well that was strong and less sweet in case you don’t like it too sweet. Aesthetically the place was so cute. “We live about an hour away and travel to Harlem every month or so just to eat at dino bbq! The food is always exceptional and the service is great, Maria is our favorite waitress but everyone is very nice. We always go for lunch because it's less busy, otherwise there's always a crowd, especially at night, you could be waiting well over an hour so be sure to make a reservation.“

“We used Curbside Confection for our Leaders Retreat at Crystal Springs resort and it was a hit! The attendants: Maria, Gina, Kelly and Kristin were amazing, they were absolutely friendly and they made the experience so much more! “I live in Eugene, OR. We have several small coffee roasters but they cost a "nominal egg" as folks in NYC might say and, they never feature Robusta blends. I am so happy to have found Cerini online. I went with a couple kilos of packaged beans and a some of the Cerini beans. The product is PERFECT as was their customer service and very reasonable pricing. My search for a coffee vendor ended, I only need Cerini. STRONGLY SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT IN PACKAGING: Put a Cerini label with the Bronx address on the bags of Cerini coffee, especially for mail-order customers. It would greatly enhance the "gift" aspect, I feel it is incredibly important for Cerini to do that as it costs so little and means so much.“

The shell has a crisp but you won't worry about breaking a tooth-dolmades : if you're afraid to commit to a full order, here's your chance to try it ! You won't be disappointed-tabbouleh : such a lovely addition to the meal you just created. Adds flavor with the mint/parsley/onion heavenly goodness-cabbage: tried both the white and red at different times and both were tasty. Felt that the white took in more of the flavor around the dish while the red just added crunchDRESSINGS-any tahini option is the right answer. If you're not familiar with the taste of tahini to begin with (earthy if you will), then I would recommend a flavored one-roasted red pepper tahini: a gift from above ! There is a slight sweet yet smokey flavor that wraps everything together-garlic jalapeño tahini: not as spicy as you'd imagine so it just gives a nice lil zest to your dish-lemon & olive oil : depending on what you put in your order, this will help with overall texture. If you opted out of wet stuff (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) this is your choice !Lastly,The Earth Burger: like a big ole falafel and WOW did not disappoint. Maintained the integrity of the falafel (crispy outside, soft inside) while giving you the satisfying big bite you're looking for. Only complaint is since it is such a hearty size, maybe a size of tahini or tatziki should accompany it. Me and the fam got to try the tenders(hugee), ribs, rotisserie chicken, burgers, general tsos and chopped cheese sandwich and OH MY was it DELICIOUS. There are only 4 parking spots behind the Pizzeria..I wound up parking across the street and patronizing the Deli as well in the process. A lot of great Pizza for your money. It took me a little to find the words for this Pizza. The Crispy crust is definitely the highlight. Followed by the Sauce and Cheese. Not realizing they were not due to open for another 35 minutes; we stood outside in the pitch black deciding what to do next. All of a sudden the door opened and the sweetest lady welcomed us in. She was so kind and prepared coffee for us and took our order. This would never had happened in California. My husband ordered the Taylor Ham sandwich and loved it. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. All the cookies were super fresh; hard but soft outside with a gooey warm inside..YUM! My favorite was the OG Chunk (had some sea salt on top) and the stuffed nutella. The kitchen sink was also very good especially with the potato chips but I just wish it didn’t have caramel drizzle on top. Definitely want to come again to try other flavors, but one thing I did have a problem with is the political views on the outside of the door. I do wish I noticed before walking in but I think political views on the outside of a cookie store is not necessary. Other than that, great cookies!“

“I’ve been so many times to this cafe that I’ve lost count. I’ve been going here since it first opened — when we were not even allowed to stay inside because of the pandemic in the first months of 2021. Its current packed seats are a testament to the great service and product they provide. The arepas on the weekends are incredible. The staff is incredibly kind. The coffee is the best you’ll find in the city — I dare you to prove me wrong. They don’t have wifi but, honestly, you don’t need it. It’s a perfect place to read, go with friends, stop and breathe. I often get the arepa “el younas” but the reina pepiada is also delicious. I once went with friends so they could try the arepas, it was the first time they weren’t serving them so the talented barista gave me a latte with the monkey saying “sorry” (from “Monkey cup”, get it?). “I tried takeout from Lovin' Today, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've never tried vegan chorizo before, so I was kind of worried about whether I'd like it or not. It actually still had the same kind of spice of regular chorizo. To be honest, I didn't seem to notice that much of a difference between this vegan chorizo and regular chorizo. And they gave a lot of it in the taco as well, so I was happy with that. I also got brown rice as a side. It was a hearty portion size of rice. I got vegan naan bread, which tasted delicious and exactly like regular naan bread. I also loved that they sealed the boxes with tape with a drawn heart on it. It's a small detail, but it shows there was care put into putting my meal together. Overall, i was happy with my meal, and I would definitely order from them again.“

Our favorites were the ramens we had which was the red spicy ramen and the black garlic ramen. A meal form two will run you about $20 to $25 dollars. Not bad in todays ridiculous prices. The location was clean and the staff was responsive. The bathrooms were rather clean and functional. The is a school near by and the location was full with teens enjoying frozen yogurts and milkshakes. I had nom issues what so ever. What won me over was the taste of the food. Excellent I will say. “My only complaint is that the lone worker today, when I was paying with a credit card (without tap) took my card and tried to use tap. Before she took my card I was going to put it into the card processor. When I pointed out that it doesn’t have tap, she (2x’s) typed my card information into the register screen and it was declined (plenty of credit was available because I got gas with it shortly after). I then used my debit card which she just took from me and again tried to use tap (again not a feature on that card either). She was finally able to put my card information for the debit card and it went through. If she had let me put my card in in the first place there would have been no problem with the original transaction attempt. I feel some of the staff might need better/more training on using the register.“
