“(Recommendations below) Their service is always speedy and orders always accurate. Food is always delicious. This is the go-to for everyone in the area whether it’s for a lunch break or dinner time take-out. They don’t offer delivery, but it’s in such a convenient location that it works out. Haven’t been to any other chinese restaurant as good as China Star 💗⭐️ they’re so consistent in every aspect. They also have a buffet, but I haven’t tried it yet. Give them a try!

They take catering orders for small and big events too. Whatever the occasion they serve you with warmth and comfort food. The best Indian food in this Dayton New Jersey area.“

“Had to drive over 45 minutes to get to this place. I’m giving this a 5 star because this is probably the best fish soup you are going to get in NJ. There are however much better places for this in Flushing Queens which would be double the driving time for me. The fish soup is good. Not the best. For the best, my go to place is still this place called Fish With You in Flushing. Give this place a try! Everything is good.

Update: had the comb for 2. The fish came under flavored. Needed some time to marinade in the soup. After it was better. We got the fried pork belly which is good. But can’t have too much because it is heavy. The glutinous cubes were fried so it was crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The syrup is used to dip and it serves as a good dessert to finish the meal off.“

Recommended dishes:
Free-range chicken (a classic of Hunan cuisine, the chicken is delicious when killed alive), sizzling squid (not fishy at all, with the aroma of barbecue), dry-pot beef brisket (not too bad, not chewy, just the right texture), smoked bamboo shoots and beef rice noodles (freshly fried toppings, full of pot flavor, personally ranked first in the Edison rice noodle category)“

I don't know much about authentic Chinese food, but based on what I've seen, I think this is the real deal.
What solidified it's authenticity to me is the first time I tried the mala dish - it is crazy spicy and flavorful and perfect to warm you up and clear your sinuses! The fact that it isn't toned down for American palates, to me, is an indication that they make the real deal.
Their Sichuan pork dumplings are my new comfort food.

“Super fresh and delicious food, all tastes very authentic.

Our family went there for dinner and ended up having a great time. We highly recommend Traditional sweet sour fried pork, classic fried mushroom, fried lamb skewer, and the noodle soup.

My kids love the sausage fried rice so much that they were fighting for it. LOL.

We came in late but the waitress was so friendly and nice to us. We really appreciate the hospitality they offered and will certainly come back next time when we are close by.

When you pick up your order directly, the prices are very reasonable. I spent about $18 for two full meals, which is a great deal considering the portion sizes.

Just a heads up: if you order through Uber Eats or other delivery apps, the total can get pretty pricey with fees and markups. So if you want to keep it affordable, picking up is definitely the way to go.

“Pleased to find another tasty mapo tofu in the same plaza as another favorite.

I found Chef Ge randomly because I had first went to Xi-an Flavor in the same mall at noon. The person there told me they don’t open until 1pm, so after taking a look on Google and seeing a photo of mapo tofu I decided to give it a chance.

They serve a large bowl of mapo tofu over rice, which comes with a half salty egg. Portion size is nice for the price, which was 11.99. Note you can save some $ by paying cash.

Mapo tofu was flavorful and saucy, as I like it.

They have a large space with an entire other section that looks like it can easily host parties. I’d visit again.“

“We were planning a big party at our HOA and after trying almost a dozen Chinese Restaurants, that did catering, we tried Cheng Garden.
We knew we'd found gold when every dish we tested tasted like what we ordered, instead of all having one flavor. The chicken, beef & pork were tender and not fatty, the vegetables were fresh and crispy and the flavors were delightful.
They couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant to deal with and their prices were right in line.
On the day of the party, all the trays were ready for pick up at the specified time, packed in boxes and piping hot. One box was accidentally left behind and Cheng Garden immediately ran it over.
But the best part of all was that everyone loved the food. The party was in June and we're still getting great reviews and members requesting Cheng's address.

We ordered beef porridge and preserved egg and lean meat porridge, which were delicious. The porridge was cooked very authentically, almost replicating the taste of what we had in Hong Kong. The barbecued pork buns were so delicious that I forgot to take pictures. The appearance of the barbecued pork buns made me think that they were just a stuffed bun, but the fillings were amazing and tasted beyond expectation. The fillings of the dumplings are so much that they will explode, but the skin is as thick as a steamed bun, not the thin skin and meat as we imagine. I am not very used to it. Fried chicken wings are available everywhere in the United States, and there’s no comparison. In addition, what we like very much is the Hong Kong-style milk tea in the store. The boss has adjusted the sweetness. It is not as sweet as the Hong Kong milk in our impression. It is surprisingly delicious. Instead, it feels like Taiwanese milk tea. It turns out that the boss’s wife is Taiwanese. All in all, this store doesn't have any renovations, and the menu doesn't have very fancy dishes, but the food is really delicious. The rice is a little minced but I'm not tack any points just cause of thats.. it's still very fresh. I'm a chicken noodle soup guy. Start with the broth because you tell right away how it's gonna go.
