“I can proudly say that overall, this is one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to in my entire life. Being someone who has been head over heels in love with Indian food for many years, I can easily say that this restaurant truly knows how to deliver. Everything... from the generous hospitality of the staff, to the delicious and authentic cuisine, to the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant itself... was beyond satisfactory, and I look forward to returning to House Of Biryanis & Kebabs, hungry for more. I am so grateful and honored to have been one of the many people who have walked through those doors feeling welcome and treated with a heart warming amount of respect. Both the management and staff truly epitomize the true meaning of restaurant hospitality and dedication to their passion for outstanding cooking and food service.“

“BJ Fish Soup in Edison, NJ, is an absolute feast for the taste buds! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, the warm environment and friendly service made me feel incredibly welcomed. The decor is elegant, creating a warm and comfortable dining atmosphere, perfect for family gatherings or catching up with friends. The highlight, of course, is their signature Sour and Spicy Fish. The fish is fresh, tender, and seems to be carefully selected, pairing perfectly with the pickled vegetables. The balance between the freshness of the fish and the tangy crispness of the pickled vegetables is just right, complementing each other beautifully. The broth is rich but not greasy, with a moderate level of spiciness that even those who aren't keen on spicy food can enjoy. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of spice levels to satisfy different taste preferences. The portions in Edison, NJ, are generous, offering great value for money. The thoughtful service and delicious dishes have won me over time and again, leaving a lasting impression and a strong desire to return. If you're a fan of high-quality BJ Fish Soup, Edison, NJ, is definitely a place you don't want to miss.“

“Have been there twice, once as 2-person party and the other time as a 10-pac. Really good service and very authentic food both times. Quality of food is consistently good. Their sauerkraut fish soup is unique as not only the fish itself, but also the soup is really good too. Also their Yunnan-style copper pot rice noodle is so authentic with large portions, very impressive even to Yunnan natives.“

“The food was good, and the service was great. The staff was really on top of things. It was a little expensive, though. My family of 4 spent $140, not including tips. And I don't get why they charged us an extra $1.99 per person for sauces.“

“This is a hot pot place in Edison that's actually good and if you know what to get or what meat should you choose, you're going to get what you pay for. It's cheaper than Korean BBQ with Hot Pot because there's NO bbq here! The soup is what's good here. We got the combination or regular and spicy soup then chose the PREMIUM package to get more meat and seafood and ice cream for dessert! And you can get another serving of ice cream! There's also special drinks for PREMIUM packagWe were glad that we did although regular can get you to their good array of meats and vegetables. Loved that they have a good array of seafood on their regular package. They also have cotton candy for dessert on a weekday and some jelly desserts on the weekends. They have all the stuff to make a good sauce for your meats! You'd leave stuffed and happy!“

“Chef Ge restaurant left a lasting impression with its authentic and boldly flavored dishes. The fried pork with pineapple was a delightful blend of natural sweetness, and the Master Ge Xiao Fry offered tender freshness with a balanced mouth-numbing sensation. The chicken with lotus roots & pepper was spicy, featuring tender, flavorful chicken and the added punch of pickled peppers—a must-try. While the Yummy braised pork belly lacked a distinct pork flavor, leaning more towards a deep-fried coating, it was still enjoyable. The restaurant's ambiance was flexible, in line with Chinese dining expectations. Overall, Chef Ge provided a satisfying culinary journey, showcasing a diverse menu with standout, memorable flavors.Parking: More parking space is at the right side of the building.“

“Very nice atmosphere, a bit fancier than many Chinese restaurants. Most dishes are quite spicy - some in my family love these. But there are also some choices for those of us who prefer less spicy. My Chinese relatives consider the quality to be very high - one of the best restaurants in Central New Jersey.“

“Hands down one of the greatest Chinese restaurants in the Edison area. They’re so popular that on weekends there’s at least an hour long line out the door, but you have to reserve the seats in-person. 10/10 on the food and the atmosphere is always hustling and bustling. Enjoy!“

“So good! Came here with my friend for dinner; I ordered shrimp tempura sushi (which was absolutely delicious), and my friend ordered miso ramen (seen in picture). While the food was amazing, the service was even better. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and were treated so kindly for our entire meal. Very nice and neat place, super lovely overall. Thank you for a great experience! We will definitely be back more often.“

“I ordered the spicy beef stew. I am amazed at the complexity of the spice where, yes, it's spicy but tantalizing where I want to keep coming back for more bites. This is my first time here, and all I can say is wow! They provided me with white rice, a hefty amount of scallions, pulled beef, broth, egg pieces, and various ingredients. There is also this solid cold food in a lil cup that tastes like kimchi and it was refreshing respite to the spice afterwards. Would recommend 10/10?“

“Decent enough Shanghai food for NJ, but non-Shanghai menu items are clearly intended to just meet the low expectations of the uninitiated. Suggest keeping to native Shanghainese choices and avoiding the dishes that were meant to be Cantonese inspired. Service is always pleasant and makes the trip to the restaurant worth it. Atmosphere is that of an old but solid restaurant with aging furniture and dim lighting. Recommend: Hot and Sour Soup, Soup Dumplings and Spicy Wontons. Do-Not-Recommend: Scallion Pancakes, Chow FunWheelchair accessibility: Ramp available for wheelchair access“

“I find it hard to believe I have not argued this place, maybe they changed businesses or owners and my old review is there. Which I can totally own because when I originally started coming here it was just sultan wok and now it is sultan wok/ Asian Express. This is my top choice spot for Chinese takeout locally. To the point where when they are closed and I want Chinese takeout, I just wait until they're open and get something else. My go-to is the general tso is chicken, with which I like to treat myself for lunch when I am working from home. Is this the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, I don't know. Does it satisfy the craving when I have it, absolutely. I would say there are days when I think their food is particularly better than others, without rhyme or reason, but I do tend to find their food tends to be better more often than it's not. Not. I also like when general tso chicken has a nice crunch to it and they tend to have better chicken than other places. I don't think I've ever had it and it'd be soggy unless I'm reheating it which does not count. The woman there tends to be very friendly. Who takes the orders, they have to have a system that gives the name of the customer because she always knows my name and greets him with a hello Mike when she answers the phone. Now if I ordered more regularly I could totally see her knowing my name. However, I do not order frequently enough for her to know who I am, which makes me think they have to have some sort of system. Either way it's nice or is she just that good at her job. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong. Getting takeout from here. I've tried some other spots in town with high recommendations and have been sorely disappointed. I hate soggy chicken and I've never gotten soggy chicken from here.“

“Me and my boyfriend have been craving authentic Chinese bbq skewers for a while and stumbled upon this place online. The waitress was very nice, but spoke very little english - the Chinese menu translations were pretty rough so we weren't too sure exactly what we ordered, but just went with it and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed and will definitely be coming back again to try some other things on the menu! Lamb/beef skewers: 5/5These honestly hit the spot - were probably the most authentic skewers I've had in the states EVER. Each skewer had a generous amount of meat and was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. We could not stop raving about these throughout the meal! Dongjia spicy hotpot: 5/5Although we were expecting a hot pot of soup, this dish more than made up for that. It is a dry hotpot dish with meat, veggies, etc. all piled into one pot. This dish was a little on the saltier side, but the mala flavor was prominent and was a good, flavorful follow up to the skewers from before. Tasty pork appetizer: 3/5This dish ended up being deep fried coated pork served with a side of dried spices to dip the pork into. We kind of ordered this on a whim without knowing what to expect and was the dish we probably would've swapped out for something else. The quality of the dish was not bad, just wasn't as good compared to the first two dishes. They do give a lot of pork for an appetizer dish, so we were able to take some home. We noticed halfway throughout the meal that every single table ordered this one dish and after looking up other reviews found out it was something called guobaorou - will add this to try next time we come back :)“

“The food isn't the most authentic compared to what I had in Los Angeles, but it's nice to have the option. The servers are pleasant. However, I gave three stars for service because one lady kept insisting I didn't order enough, even though I ordered six different dishes for four people. We ended up with too many leftovers. Despite that, I recommend this place and would go again.“

“Came here for a weekday lunch. The place is long and narrow with a few seats. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you when it's ready. Ordered the pork belly baos, pork soup dumplings and beef noodles. The pork belly in the baos was flavorful and tender. The boas themselves were pillowy soft and it came with crushed peanuts. It was a good bao except I felt like it could use some sort of pickled vegetable to cut the richness. The pork soup dumplings were steamy and filled with a good amount of soup. I wish the soup was a little more flavorful but the meat itself was tasty and the skin was nice and thin. The beef noodles were full of flavor and came with tender beef and fresh noodles and veggies. Overall this is a solid option for Shanghainese food. The prices aren't bad and everything tasted pretty authentic and like it was made fresh.“

“I have tried A LOT of chinese takeout restaurants but this one is definitely one that I will stick with. I ordered for delivery from Cheng Garden and it was phenomenal. To start off the price was not bad especially with tax, delivery and tip included. the service was quick to deliver (the places I usually order from take about an hour). Secondly the food itself was everything I craved and so much more. It went beyond my expectations,, very fresh and delicious. Lastly, the packaging of the food was so unique and organized, it was just amazing. Definitely a place worth trying if you're craving good Chinese takeout!!“

“i feel bad to leave a 1 star review but this was the worst restaurant experience i have ever had & i eat out often. i get that they just opened up but they seemed like they should’ve stayed closed to train the servers and cooks more. walking in, my boy friend & i loved the aesthetic & the whole set up inside. the food kind of took forever which… idk why because it was very tasteless. we ordered soup dumpling that had NO SOUP IN THEM! i was so disappointed. we also ordered the sesame noodles that tasted like nothing & the fried pork rice which the pork was so small it came with 4 pieces & the rice had no flavor. we will come back a few months later & hopefully the restaurant is way better … best of luck to this business & hopefully they change the food & train the workers better.EDIT:i came back as i said i would & the place and food overall was a 10/10!!! great job for the turn around! service was amazing & the atmosphere of the place was great! definitely will be another go to spot with friends and loved ones“

“Lovely restaurant. My wife was working in the area and decided to pick up some take out for dinner; 2nd best decision she made in her life, next to marrying me ?. Everything tasted so fresh!!! They did not half a** anything. Their eggrolls are a must try, extremely fresh! We are originally from Brooklyn, NY, so we had our share of Chinese takeout… so if we are traveling 30 mins both ways for Chinese takeout, that should say a lot. “Discovered this hidden gem. If you are looking for a unique quality experience with Chinese food this is the an amazing food place. Tried them out two days ago by ordering their Dry Chicken dish. Be careful as it has bones but it was unbelievably delicious, a flavor and texture that was so unique. So the next day we got their liver, fish and a soup. Simply delicious. Could not stop eating. The staff are great but do not speak english and their online menu is also unclear. Its best to get the printed menu. We are so excited to try all their other dishes. Also, it's takeout only.If you are used to regular american-chinese fare then this is not the place for you. If you love to experience exotic flavors then have fun.“
“First time coming here for lunch. Ordered the hunan fried rice-was a little spicy but tolerable 9.5/10. Japanese tofu sizzling plate-tofu was soft and flavorful 9/10. Sliced fish with chili sauce-soft fish, crunchy broccoli, nothing remarkable but was tasty nonetheless 8/10. Will definitely be coming back.“

“This is a no frills old school Chinese restaurant with some unique selections. Didn't have much this time but what I had was excellent. Place was fairly empty and I hope that people aren't coming bc it's not trendy like some of the newer Chinese spots in the area I can't say enough about how amazing the Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce was. Def my favorite dish I ate here and the absolute best version of this I've ever had. The fried pork chop was simple but extremely flavorful and not over cooked. Lastly the twice cooked fish filet was good but not as good as I've had elsewhere (a bit too much batter for my liking). Cannot wait to come back to try other dishes“

“Really good Chinese food spot. Ide say one of the best in the area. Rice and meat always cooked good and soft, always enough sauce on the meat. Their chicken on the stick got BBQ sauce (red sauce on it) which alot of places don't. Before this spot only seen one that had red sauce on it. Awesome place, needless to say will be stopping there more often!“

“This place is fantastic. Up and down the menu it's hard to find something that scores below fantastic. We often order the same thing all the time because it never gets old when it's great tasting quality food . The best part is the serving size and the women who takes down our orders never makes a mistake. In this industry multitasking greatly reduces the accuracy of what you order and really looking forward to bust she does it flawlessly and she is very kind . The running joke about 15 minutes actually does apply and you won't be disappointed no matter how busy they are they treat you like your their only customer. Perfect“

“The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and great attentive service. The food was wonderful and the portions were enough to share. The spice level was palatable and still flavorful. The only complaint is they don't offer free water, which seems like a money grab when serving food that uses lots of salt and spice.“

“I booked the VIP room for my daughter’s 16th Birthday. I was able to get this room within 2 wks notice. This is the largest room. It has its own bathroom, fits approx 17 people. Very clean. Great sound system, no issue finding music. We used pop, rap, R&B, & country music. Fees are based on an hourly rate, plus a mandatory 20% gratuity amount (which is posted at the front desk), even if you don't need the staff for anything. BUT the staff is very responsive, accommodating, and helpful when requested. Use your 20% (wink, wink!) You are able to buy food there (individual meals only), as well as bring your own food and drink. We bought our own. The only complaint I could think of is that some songs did become scratchy towards the END of the song but that was not a huge problem. I would absolutely return again!“

“Pretty good, standard American Chinese food. Portions similar to everywhere else. Will be the place we go to now since the last place changed management and quality. We split a sesame chicken and egg roll. The sauce was pretty good, sweet, and some pieces were a little chewier than others, but no complaints. The egg roll and white rice tastes like everywhere else. If you're not too picky, give it a try. We're going to try other items next tome too to see. Eating out is expensive so we don't eat out often. Came to about $19.50 before tip.“

“Hands down the best soup dumplings I've had! You can tell being it was literally packed on a Friday night. You will order yourself on a kiosk or in advance online. The location itself is very casual and not very spacious. One downside is their open seating which makes snagging a seat difficult. I opted for the steamed pork juicy buns and my husband opted for the spicy pork juicy dumplings. Every single one held a delicious amount of soup. My husband raved about his as well. He enjoyed them so much, I didn't get a photo. I ordered the Shanghai pan fried udon. I felt it could've used more sauce. I also ordered the peach ice cream which was pretty good and also BOGO free. It didn't have a an artificial taste, it actually genuinely tasted like authentic peach ice cream. My husband had the spicy minced pork noodles and preferred the broth of the dish overall. While both noodle dishes were descent, the real standout was definitely the dumplings. We will be back. :)“
