“I had the “torta birria”, I’m telling you the food is so good that it will make you so much happier in life.
Not only is the food good, the prices they charge is 100% worth it because most food truck would charge you crazy money just to leave you feeling half full.

“EXCELLENT. We’re a Puerto Rican family and just didn’t feel like cooking this Christmas. Ordered arroz con gandules, pernil, pastelon, mini empanadas, alcapurias, papá rellena, and Pasteles. Everything was PERFECT. We will definitely be back.“

“Went on a weekend, when the truck is in the LA Fitness lot in Kearny. The best tacos we have ever had, outside Mexico. Birria, al pastor, chicken tacos all top-tier.
If you like eggs, I also strongly suggest the breakfast burritos, no matter what time of day. Get one and split it or save the other half for later, but don't miss it.“

“Westside Shawarma is back with a vengeance. Never have I seen so much demand for a small food spot. Literal posts on the internet asking about this place. I was excited to see the G.O.A.T return, and more so with a proper shop. I got so excited, I ordered two chicken platters and only managed to finish one. Warmed it up two days later and it tasted just as good as when I got it. Great to have you guys back!“

“I have to admit that my expectations were low because traditional Mexican food on the east coast is rare as hens teeth. My wife and I were amazed to find the fresh ingredients and complimentary flavors reminded us of some of our favorite restaurants on Cozumel. My only complaint is that the food is too good for a food Truck. Mike already figured this out because he's opening a restaurant. I can't wait to see his presentation on some colorful Mexican crockery. Traditional rum, tequila, and mescal drinks would make a perfect evening.“

“Okay, we've been coming to this truck since 2008 or so, when my son was a student at NJIT.I'm going to say that the best food here are the platters, especially the chicken platter; unfortunately my son insisted on the Samosa Tikki Sandwich. It was good, but the platters, with extra white sauce, and a sprinkle of red pepper, is worth the visit. Enjoyed the sandwich. The picture is only a fourth of the sandwich.“

“The food was decent. Didn’t really get what I wanted because they had limited amount of certain meats. Also the young kid on the truck doesn’t know what salt or pepper is. Lmao. I asked him a few times in English and Spanish and he still didn’t know. I also attached the recipe for the review, for you guys can see the pricing for what I got.“

My buddy and I went after midnight the day after a snowstorm. A few other food trucks showed as open on Google but were closed, and this was the only spot actually open; which we appreciated right away.
Unfortunately, the roads weren’t plowed well and my car got stuck in the snow. The chef noticed immediately and ran out of the truck to help us. He even brought out a shovel and started clearing snow himself. That level of kindness and willingness to help late at night meant a lot. You don’t see that often.
On top of that, the pierna chimi was absolutely delicious; packed with flavor and loaded with meat. It had been a while since we had one, and it definitely hit the spot. Well worth everything we went through to get there.
Great food and even better people. Highly recommend!“
