“Can I please give it 6 stars? I recently went there with a group of five family members while visiting New Jersey and we had a truly extraordinary night! As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

“This place is right next to the Hamptonn Inn in Elizabeth which is pretty convenient. It wasn't super busy and they sit you down quickly with some good drinks. Our server seemed newer at her job, or perhaps not very good but the food was pretty tasty we had no complaints. \n\nIt's not fine dining but unless you want to eat at the food court at Jersey Mills or IHOP, this was the best option we found.“

“Lived in Elizabeth for 4 years and this is the best Chinese food I had there. The Chinese broccoli they use is DELICIOUS. Their ingredients really taste high quality and fresh. Definitely recommend trying Amigo Fish Restaurant if you're looking for a basic staple Chinese joint.“

“I have been frequenting this place with family since I was incredibly young. The fried fish always hits the craving! The fresh fish is great as well. Incredible porgy and flounder. Everything remains consistent and delicious in the family special with tartar sauce. The shrimp however has changed over the years and was over battered and not clean. Still recommend enjoying this place.“

“Great Peruvian food in the heart of Elizabeth. As far as eating in the place is a little dark and dingy and smells of stale food but the food itself is worth the visit. I’ve eaten here twice both times were takeout but the food and portions did not disappoint. Recommend the bistec a lo pobre or the lomo saltado both delicious. This place delivers and accepts credit cards and Apple Pay. No parking here only street parking .“

The only thing is that it's so popular! That we had to wait for our table, BUT.. it only took us 7 minutes to get our table! Employees were SUPER NICE.“

“Very good food, service was adequate. The waitress did her best to keep up with all her tables. There are lots of big screen TVs to watch the game! I would go again! The parking lot is located nearby. I found my own parking on the street before I knew they had parking.“

“My girlfriend introduced me to this place about a year ago as she is a resident in the area. I have enjoyed several types of Peruvian cuisine before I tried El Punto. When we went there to have dinner, I had the Jalea and Mariscos (fish), and I was blown away. The Jalea itself was my favorite; fresh fish and fresh ingredients got me “hooked.” Since then, we had been back there a few more times for dinner, and the dining experience is still excellent. The place is cozy, clean, and the staff is very friendly. I look forward to returning again soon. I would definitely recommend El Punto Marino to anyone who loves Peruvian cuisine; especially the seafood. Thanks for the great experience.“
