“It’s nice to find an old fashioned sit down Chinese restaurant. A very extensive Chinese/ Japanese/ hibachi menu. We had the Chinese lunch specials. Large assortment and a large portion. “Really delicious sushi and Chinese food. The sushi is not omakase but tasty for the price and variety. I order off the diet menu regularly, shrimp and broccoli and fried dumplings. Best ginger sauce ever for dipping items off the diet menu. I skip the dumpling sauce and use the ginger sauce for everything lol. Wonton soup is also delicious. They are always so nice and happy when I arrive to pick up my order. One day I ordered delivery and within 30 minutes the order was at my door. This is my go to spot when I have friends and family over looking to order Chinese food. I tried other places near Broadway and nothing has compared.“

“I had a great experience at Maki Sushi while I was in town for work and happened to stumble in for dinner. I sat at the sushi bar and ordered the Sushi Deluxe, which came with 10 pieces of chef’s-choice sushi and a roll — I went with salmon and avocado. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and thoughtfully put together.

Pete, who is both the sushi chef and the owner, was excellent. We struck up a genuinely good conversation while I was eating, and he was friendly, complimentary, and clearly takes pride in what he does. Sitting at the bar felt welcoming and relaxed — the kind of place where you actually enjoy talking to the person making your food.

One small but really impressive detail stood out: Pete noticed I like a little wasabi with my tuna and offered me fresh wasabi without me even asking. For a sushi spot of this size, having fresh wasabi on hand is always impressive — it’s a great little treat, and usually something you only get if you know to ask. That kind of attentiveness says a lot.

The quality of the fish here is excellent. My favorite bite of the night was the salmon belly — rich, buttery, and delicious. The sushi here is definitely geared toward a more classic and approachable palate. It’s simple, clean, and done well, and the quality of the fish and service really shine.

Food was excellent, presented well, and using the freshest quality ingredients. The Seaweed Salad was a tad salty; otherwise, everything tasted deliciously good. The price and portions were reasonable. The service was quick; the staff was friendly and courteous.

“So good . When you order takeout fried food, they wait to the last minute of your delivery time to put the food in the fryer. Don't complain if you have to wait a few extra minutes . To get hot crisp food instead of soggy cold stuff that steamed it self cold in the togo containers. LOVE THEM.“

“I had an amazing experience at Masago Sushi in Ridgewood, NJ. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The prices are also such a big factor since its so low for such big portions. But what really stood out, was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick without ever feeling rushed. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. “This is by far the best takeout sushi in at least a 20 mile radius, short of expensive sit down omakase. Fish is always fresh, never a “fishy” smell or taste, delivery and pickup orders always correct, very nice people. The fish to rice ratio in the rolls is perfect. Very nice atmosphere, super comfortable. The food is delicious and menu is affordable for the quality of the food you are getting. My husband and I had the Agedashi Tofu, Pork Sirloin Katsu, Tuna Kimbap, and Potato Croquette. For dessert we had the Mango Bingsoo.

The bingsoo is probably the best in the area! Full of delicious mango, and syrup. It’s very tall too, so it’s a good deal.

The owner is very nice. Always provided a quick hot water refill.

It’s really very comfortable here. I could see myself sitting here for a while to just decompress. Will come back!“
