“We had a really great experience here! Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The miso soup was warm and comforting, with a nice, balanced taste, a perfect start. The green tea was also excellent and complemented the meal well.

The sushi was definitely the highlight. The Pink Lady roll was fresh, light, and perfectly balanced, while the Volcano roll was absolutely amazing rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent with a delicious sauce on top. You can tell they use good quality ingredients and take care in how the dishes are prepared.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great sushi in the area!“

“I ordered the two-roll sushi combo with a California roll and a salmon avocado roll, and both were incredibly fresh and delicious. I also got the green salad with ginger dressing, which tasted so fresh and flavorful. The shrimp shumai were honestly addictive. They also included veggie gyoza and miso soup on the house, and both were delicious as well. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and I will definitely be returning to Kame Sushi.“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

Spicy miso wasn't thaaaat spicy but I liked the flavor a lot. The staff is attentive they bring you more food super quickly. I got a strawberry cocktail IT WAS SYRUP. no alcohol in it , or at least I didn't taste it. I had one sip and I thought j was drinking FABULOSO cleaning agent !!!!! Co (Ko?) and Vanessa were so attentive and caring. We never had to ask for anything - it’s like they read our minds. “This place was highly recommended as an awesome experience, and I was warned ahead of time that there would probably be a long wait. Upon arrival, there was indeed a very long line despite the damp, cold drizzle outside. The wait ended up being about two hours.

Once inside, the atmosphere was very cozy and every seat in the place was occupied. We were seated directly in front of the live jazz band, which was excellent and really added to the experience. The restaurant had a strong Japanese-inspired theme with very dim lighting. A few light bulbs were visible, but most of the lighting came from small kerosene lamps placed throughout the tables, which gave the place a unique and intimate ambiance.

The staff took our order quickly and the food arrived promptly. The music was outstanding, and while the food was okay, I found myself divided about the overall atmosphere. I genuinely liked the décor and cozy feeling, but I was also concerned about safety. There were simply too many kerosene lamps throughout such a crowded space. I couldn’t help but think that if one were knocked over and caused a fire, panic could spread quickly in such tight quarters. My wife shared the same concern. Fortunately, we were seated near an exit, and we quietly noted that it would be our escape route if an emergency occurred.

In the end, I did enjoy the unique experience, but I remained somewhat tense because of the potential fire hazard. Would I return? Probably not, especially with a two-hour wait time. If the wait were closer to an hour, I might reconsider. One positive note — the prices were actually very reasonable for the experience.“

“I forgot how much I love Momoya. I got a chirashi bowl today and it is probably one of the best assembled, thoughtfully created chirashi bowls you can get in NYC. The rice is infused with the tangy shiso leaf which is shredded and incorporated throughout and the fish selections are elegant and interesting. Today's included scallop accessorized with roe!

“Katsuhama is one of my must-visit restaurants every time I come to New York.

The tonkatsu here is simply outstanding. The breading is perfectly fried—light, crispy, and never greasy. Every bite has that perfect balance of a crunchy exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The pork is incredibly soft and flavorful, making it one of the best tonkatsu experiences I’ve had anywhere.

You can really tell that great care goes into the preparation. The quality is consistently excellent, which is why I keep coming back whenever I’m in New York.

If you’re a fan of tonkatsu, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside—just perfection.
