“We had the Standard Dinner at Uka Omakase and it was such a fantastic experience! The meal included a delicious miso soup, 12 pieces of nigiri, a hand roll, and dessert. Every bite was so thoughtfully crafted.

What really stood out to me were the unique flavor combinations and decadent toppings. The bluefin tuna with mushroom was incredible, and I especially loved the piece topped with miso yuzu. The chu toro with foie gras was rich and absolutely indulgent, while the piece topped with caviar added another delicious layer of flavor.

There were so many memorable pieces throughout the meal, and I loved that the nigiri went beyond traditional flavors with creative combinations that still allowed the quality of the fish to shine. Everything felt elevated, flavorful, and beautifully balanced.

“We found this restaurant by accident, but I can see us making regular visits any time we come to NYC. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and a great staff. My poke bowl was incredible, and my husband got the sushi bento box. We’ll be getting the large saki during our next visit. We ate our food too quickly before it occurred to me to take a photo!“

It was wonderful on all fronts - the space, the vibe, the freshness, the omakase selections, the assembly, the presentation, and of course, the taste (oishii!). Really good sake, too. Chef Tachikawa took great care of us- he was friendly, gracious, and way capable. Our server (everything else but the sushi), Jean, was also fantastic.
