“They had a location in the Bronx on Broadway near West 231st Street. I am sorry they no longer have that location. It was one of my go to places. I miss my favorite meal there: Filet of Sole with crabmeat stuffing. Baked potatoes & broccoli..Nothing or no one is perfect but they were very good.“

Service was phenomenal — Amy was amazing, and every staff member made us feel like VIPs. I skipped dessert, but they insisted I try one on the house — a classy touch that sealed the night. “The trout is the best in the area. The servers can be unprofessional and rude. When asked to tie back their hair, the request was refused. A nonsense response of not required was insulting. As an experienced service trainer, the hair in question should have been restraining. Health department requirements override a servers vain attitude.“

“My brothers and I hosted our dad’s 60th birthday in one of the private rooms upstairs. Maria took care of us and service was incredible all night! “I came here with my family and we enjoyed the food immensely. I had the lomo saltado and it was so delicious. One of the best I have had. My husband had the fish fritters (chicarron de pescado) which was so tender and fresh and light. I highly recommend this restaurant. We also ordered a plain hamburger for one of my sons who is picky and it was made exactly as he wanted. My other son ordered a salmon which was grilled to perfection. The restaurant is family owned and everything is made fresh when you order. The service was friendly, too. I couldn't recommend it enough.“

Maybe I’m just comparing it to New Orleans because I didn’t really enjoy either. They didn’t have that amazing flavor or Cajun spice. Crab Du Jour Cajun crab, scallops, crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, and corn was really good. I’d probably ask for even more Cajun on the side for the bottom of the boil lol. Damn that was good! I’ll be back. You should get too many crabs and a moderate amount of scallops, those are my favorite.“

The vibe & energy is first rate positive fun & culinary enjoyment. I believe that this fine dining experience is also driven by the owner Matthew who is usually in the restaurant greeting guests & helping out. When you visit Matthew's you'll have a great time and it'll feel like you're on mini-vacation from the stress of every day life while seemingly enjoying the warmth of family.
