“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

Gonna try and eat everything there over time (except spicy food )Also the snicker bar was 25 cents cheaper than the lame rutger vending machines, but 25 cents more pricier than njit vending machine ?. FIVE STARS! after having Tawook Chicken or Lamb Kabob for dinner I like to take home some Mouhamara and some hummus, especially on a Friday, for snacking. Balade helps get me through the weekend. 😄 I'm sharing a pic of some of Balade's fresh, delicious, Mouhamara on a diced up baked red potato. I had this at home this morning. It's also great on pita, or a cracker, or a slice of toast, or . . .“

Plus the service is FAST and there is plenty of comfy seating (which is rare in Midtown East)
