“The food was so delicious and the ingredients tasted super fresh and of high quality. The staff was very nice and helped us choose - since we wanted everything on the menu. The place has a beautiful warm cozy but clean design, and we could feel the nice warmth of the big tabun oven from our table.

I would recommend and come back! The frena bread and hummus are obviously a must!“

“We drove out of town for this restaurant and it was well worth it. The mint lemonade drink has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and the food was delicious. The food is especially perfect for larger crowds that want to share food. The staff are very friendly and fast in getting your order and bringing out the food to you. I also really admired the beautiful decor inside. If we lived closer we definitely would come to this restaurant all the time but since it is a very long drive we still plan on coming at least once a month.“

“Great tasty BBQ. Our favorite is the kefta kebab. Only reason 1 star is deducted because I purchased three orders of the (six) skewers for a total of 18 skewers but was given less when I decided to count today. Not a big deal but if I am asked to combine my three orders to one platter, we will check and let you know if we were shorted :)

But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

FIVE STARS! after having Tawook Chicken or Lamb Kabob for dinner I like to take home some Mouhamara and some hummus, especially on a Friday, for snacking. Balade helps get me through the weekend. 😄 I'm sharing a pic of some of Balade's fresh, delicious, Mouhamara on a diced up baked red potato. I had this at home this morning. It's also great on pita, or a cracker, or a slice of toast, or . . .“

“I had an amazing experience at Sahara’s Turkish Cuisine! The soup, Iskender kebab and Gyro were incredibly flavorful, with the kebab perfectly tender and rich in taste. We also tried an appetizer platter, which was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

To end the meal, the baklava with tea was absolutely perfect flaky, sweet, and a great complement to the tea. The service was excellent, with a warm and welcoming staff that made the experience even better.

Combination chapli has one chicken patty kebab and one beef patty with rice, fries, and salad. I personally could have lived without the fries.

“This is the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. Really nice lamb koftas, falafels, etc. along with hummus, pickled veg (and then randomly jalapenos)... you get to choose what you want. Very tasty all round.

We went on a Tuesday lunchtime and the place was very busy (but super efficient service), dirty and the two tables worth of seating were in high demand.

Recommended, but perhaps at a quieter time/bigger location if you want a more relaxing lunch.“

“Was in Penn station and kids like Mediterranean food . Of course there are some food options outside Penn station which are much better in terms of taste ,…. But when you are in the station waiting for train and you have 15-20 mins then chickpea is a good option !!

They have goood options - salad / bowl / felafel / chicken etc etc ! Service was quick .. the food was a little cold though. We got felafel bowl and it was not the best — but good for a food inside station . ? they also have other drinks and few other snack items here . No place to sit and eat . “I love their Chicken Pita wrap and wings.Make sure to ask for “double fried” which makes it extra crispy like the Korean Fried Chicken. My favorite sauce of choice always would be honey bbq. The Gyro platter is my second favorite but I will always go for the Chicken Pita wrap because the meat and sauce consistency is excellent.They also have a banana pudding that you cannot forget to buy as a side. I normally hate chunky bananas in my banana pudding but theirs is absolutely my favorite. (No chunky banana’s)The service is okay (that’s where I give it 4.5) there is one guy there that never smiles or laughs I’m not sure what his issue is but every time I went there in the lunch time he never seemed to be welcoming but I never let that affect me. I just come the hours he’s not there. But either way the other employees and owner are fantastic don’t let one mood ruin your whole day.The food is great.
