Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. “Delicious Authentic Middle Eastern falafel and shawarma. It's a place that focuses on just that, but does it really well. Every element of the 'sandwich' is made to perfection! The pita is fresh and warm, the shawarma is cooked perfectly on the rotisserie, and each topping is delicious- the humus, tehina, amba, onions... plus ... served with a smile! Open late too!“

“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“The food was easily the best Arab food I’ve had. Ever. The owners were super nice and actually invited us to sit instead of take out, and we got complimentary toum (also best toum I’ve ever had), peppers, pickles, and some sort of Arab bread. The bread was nice and crackly and there was a LOT of it. The toum, unlike other Arab places with toum, was actually light and had that whipped texture that is desired. The garlic flavor was on point and not too overpowering. The star of the show was easily the crispy chicken shawarma, though. It looks small in some videos, but it was wider than my mouth. I had to do some talking to find out myself, but to get the fries, toum, and pickles next to the shawarma, you need to ask for the crispy chicken shawarma combo. It was super crispy, and the breading was very nicely toasted. I kept finding myself layering the top with some pickles, fries, and more toum. They also drizzled some pomegranate molasses on the chicken shawarma, which gave it a tangy but also fruity aftertaste. We also ordered the charcoal chicken and kebab. The kebab, instead of normal beef on a stick, actually came with some yellow rice and some REALLY GOOD spicy seasoned bread that was very soft and moist on some parts and crispy on the others. You could literally see the spice particles on it. The charcoal chicken was juicy, tender, and had that charcoal roasted flavoring. It even came with a bunch of complimentary fries. The fries on both the shawarma and the charcoal chicken was nicely battered, and the shawarma fries were very well seasoned. The only thing is that the bathroom is through a door that leads upstairs, and you have to open two doors. If you’re someone like me and don’t like the feeling of putting grip on things with sticky stuff on your hands, you won’t like that. It’s one of those turn knobs. Finally, the music made me feel like I was actually back in Abu Dhabi watching fire shows while eating falafel. Please visit, they are amazing people who make amazing food!“

“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

“The food is delicious, and unlike most other bowl restaurants, you get unlimited toppings here. You choose from a couple bases, then a few proteins, and then as many toppings as you want. Comes with a side of pita bread. The food is healthy, clean, and not greasy.

The only thing I don’t like to be honest is that you can’t get any toppings on the side. I hate olives and my wife loves them and they wouldn’t give us olives on the side. But not enough to detract from the overall rating of the place. Just my own personal preference.

“I noticed that my order was marked as ready significantly earlier than the provided ETA. While that might seem like a positive thing, it actually resulted in my food sitting out for a while before pickup, making it cold by the time I received it. It would be better if the timing were more aligned so customers can enjoy their food fresh.

Additionally, I’ve observed that the portion sizes seem to be getting smaller over time. Currently, a single order doesn’t feel sufficient for an average adult. In particular, the rice and meat portions are quite limited. It would be great if the default portion sizes could be increased slightly to provide better value and a more satisfying meal.

“Great food all around, sat down and tried nearly everything off the menu and had no complaints, wings, burgers, and platters all were great and make sure to try the bbq sauce. Usually hate bbq sauce but theirs is quite unique and haven’t tasted something like it elsewhere to this day. Really friendly and chill atmosphere, good price point“

We eat plant-based so opted for the baba ganoush appetizer and eggplant moussaka. The flavors were alive, wonderful, and deeply enjoyed.
The waiter was attentive and so kind!

They have a sweet outdoor garden space in the back but we enjoyed inside, with all the decor.
