“Can I please give it 6 stars? I recently went there with a group of five family members while visiting New Jersey and we had a truly extraordinary night! As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

“As someone who grew up in and loves Metuchen deeply, I can officially add Terzo to one of the most memorable places of one of my favorite towns. Came here to have dinner and introduce my parents to my boyfriend’s parents, a very special occasion for us. At no point did we feel rushed throughout our experience which I appreciate a lot since we were there from 6-9pm on a Wednesday night.
The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect for any special occasion or date night. Everyone was raving about the food the entire time!
For appetizers we got the peach burrata salad, wagyu meatballs (our favorite!), and the calamari (second favorite!!). For dinner we loved the cacio de pepe and chicken parm. The crab risotto was a top contender too. Oh my, the portions are so big so be ready to take some home! For dessert we had the apple pie cannolis and coffee. Sangria was yummy but in a smaller pitcher than we normally see, so get two if you have a bigger group! I wish I took some pictures of our food but we were having too good of a time to actually think about it!

“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years. “It's rare that a place gets 5 stars on everything, but here we are. A charming location in Summit, NJ, the front door opens to a lively atmosphere as if you were in the Village in Manhattan. Beautifully but simply decorated, with ample walking space between tables, it is as welcoming as it looks promising, and it delivers at all stages. Danielle, our table assistant was every bit charming, lovely, and hyper-focused on her tasks. The food arrived timely, at the perfect temperature, and her stops by the table were inobtrusive and perfectly timed. The food itself, deserves its own review, I had a perfectly seared medium rare duck breast with just the right amount of reduction and a perfectly crisp/ moist/ crunchy potato souffle, my husband had the short ribs -which are gluten free, btw- which we ended up bringing half home, so generous was the portion. I topped it off with a chocolate pot de creme with a velvety texture and the right amount of cacao and sugar. All in all, a wonderful experience, we will make it one of our fav spots from now on.“

I’ve been living in the area for about 15 years now and just randomly tried this place one day, and let me just say it not only exceeded my expectations but blew them out of the park. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is nothing short of simply the best. I would highkey recommend trying their freshly house made pizzas, they’re finger licking good as well as their pastas which are chefs kisses. I’m genuinely amazed at how not many people know about this restaurant. The owner is the sweetest woman I’ve ever met, we talked for 15 minutes just about her business it was 2 minutes before they closed and she offered me all of the left over pizza they hadn’t sold that day FOR FREE. I’ve found my new favorite go to Italian spot.“

“The mrs and i had our first date here and come every year for the anniversary, about time i left a review for the awesome food and service they provide, drinks are immaculate and the most impressive parts are the improvements over the years as well as the service. most recently we were served by tiana (i’m like 99% sure that was her name if not im sorry) and she was amazing, great energy and timely service and it seemed like she was genuinely happy to be there. until next year house 157 never change (although they did take away the lobster mac and cheese which was my favorite they added a whole plethora of new stuff to try AND in general the quality went up. a worthy sacrifice)“

“Food was decent and we had great table service from the bartender that was there when we were in for lunch between 11:30 and 1 PM on a Tuesday . The negative is the 4% credit card surcharge. Firstly, I don’t like that surcharge and secondly, I have not seen establishments charge 4% so that seemed excessive.“

“If you’re looking for old school Italian, this is a great spot. They made it easy to schedule a work dinner for 9 people, and the service was quick and accurate. The Caesar salad was extremely tasty, as was my pasta dish, albeit a tad salty. The front bar area is also cozy and casual, so it’s a great place for an after work cocktail.

“This is the first 5 Star restaurant we have found in NJ since moving in 1991 from Manhatten. Four of us went this past sunday evening. Everything was 5 star,including food; Niavh's (Irish name pronounced as Nieve) service; and the personable manager, Dave. Gorgeous wood and glass. Great Ambience. Easy to park.
