“If you're looking for the best Koobideh kebab in New Jersey and New York, Zaffron Bloom is the place to go. Every time I visit, I'm amazed by the deliciousness of the food, especially their Tahdig. The Olivieh salad and Spanish yogurt are also quite tasty. Since it's a family-run business, the owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. I love this place and highly recommend their kebabs!??“

“I visited New York for 6 days from the state of Texas and ended up having two meals at this location because the food was just that good. “The food was so delicious and the ingredients tasted super fresh and of high quality. The staff was very nice and helped us choose - since we wanted everything on the menu. The place has a beautiful warm cozy but clean design, and we could feel the nice warmth of the big tabun oven from our table.

I would recommend and come back! The frena bread and hummus are obviously a must!“

“We drove out of town for this restaurant and it was well worth it. The mint lemonade drink has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and the food was delicious. The food is especially perfect for larger crowds that want to share food. The staff are very friendly and fast in getting your order and bringing out the food to you. I also really admired the beautiful decor inside. If we lived closer we definitely would come to this restaurant all the time but since it is a very long drive we still plan on coming at least once a month.“

Only reason 1 star is deducted because I purchased three orders of the (six) skewers for a total of 18 skewers but was given less when I decided to count today. Not a big deal but if I am asked to combine my three orders to one platter, we will check and let you know if we were shorted :)

“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

“I just found this gem in Harlem and let me say I am thoroughly impressed. First, the Yemeni tea is extremely good. No need to add anything. Secondly, the amount of food that you get for money is a great deal. I had #21 Aqdat Dajaj (Curry Chicken) w/Basmati Rice and a side of Naan bread (it was huge). You also receive soup and a mini salad before the actual entree. I left there stuffed and satisfied. The space is very quaint and somewhat intimate. It’s a must try!! And it’s Halal!!!

FIVE STARS! after having Tawook Chicken or Lamb Kabob for dinner I like to take home some Mouhamara and some hummus, especially on a Friday, for snacking. Balade helps get me through the weekend. 😄 I'm sharing a pic of some of Balade's fresh, delicious, Mouhamara on a diced up baked red potato. I had this at home this morning. It's also great on pita, or a cracker, or a slice of toast, or . . .“

“First time to ever try pizza shawarma, definitely a great choice! Will be ordering again also I ordered the chicken parm and Philly cheese steak sandwiches for a quick lunch. Both were delicious and very fresh. The chicken was not soggy like most chicken parm sandwiches I've ordered from other places . The service was very fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I' definitely come back to try other things from the menu. I saw someone having the shawarma platter and it looked delicious.“

“I had an amazing experience at Sahara’s Turkish Cuisine! The soup, Iskender kebab and Gyro were incredibly flavorful, with the kebab perfectly tender and rich in taste. We also tried an appetizer platter, which was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

To end the meal, the baklava with tea was absolutely perfect flaky, sweet, and a great complement to the tea. The service was excellent, with a warm and welcoming staff that made the experience even better.

“Was in Penn station and kids like Mediterranean food . Of course there are some food options outside Penn station which are much better in terms of taste ,…. But when you are in the station waiting for train and you have 15-20 mins then chickpea is a good option !!

They have goood options - salad / bowl / felafel / chicken etc etc ! Service was quick .. the food was a little cold though. We got felafel bowl and it was not the best — but good for a food inside station . ? they also have other drinks and few other snack items here . No place to sit and eat . Had to sit in the stairs and eat ! Wish they had atleast a couple of chairs inside. Overall an average experience but gave 4 stars ⭐️ because of the existence of such shops inside Penn..“
