“Great family owned place for decades, when I go in they treat me like family because I’m kind and respectful. I’ve noticed a lot of people leaving reviews of one star only leave negative reviews and in my opinion often invalidates their opinions. Seems like most people want to have their butts kissed by their neighbors, but if you’re kind and respectful to staff they’ll return the favor. Food is delicious, prices are fair, and the kitchen is open and clean.

Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian and gluten free options.

Parking: Parking on the street is available but there’s a Burger King next door that is often used to pick up orders.“

“I have been a customer for 9 years, moving from Kearny to Harrison, back to Kearny & I have never stopped ordering from them. They have a wonderful attitude, even during VERY busy times. Sweet lady who answers the phone is so pleasant. They always get my order right. The food tastes great, well cooked! “I have resided in Harrison for the past 9 years, hopping from one apartment to another. The one place I constantly order from is Chinatown. The food is consistently great.

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“The food is literally so good! It’s really tasty and they make the food to order. I live on the south shore and I’ve been there around 10 times and it’s always so good. The waitress is so nice. The menu system is online and looks really clunky, but with the help of Google review photos I settled on the pan fried noodles and braised pork hock (which is highly recommended). The pork comes in a dark, rich savory sauce (they mentioned after it can also come in a garlic Sichuan that is sweeter). The noodles were fresh, with soft scramble eggs and a tang I couldn’t identify. Very good. And the pork literally fell off the bone and the skin was unctuous and filled with collagen and flavor. Would’ve loved some soy sauce at the table, but all in all staff is friendly, the space is airy, and the food is insanely good.“

If you’re in Hoboken and even thinking about a mango drink, just stop what you’re doing and go to Icy Mellon. These folks don’t just make smoothies—they craft frozen perfection. I got the mango, and I swear it was so rich, fresh, and vibrant it deserved a seatbelt of its own.

Unfortunately, I had to stop short while driving and—well—mango mayhem ensued. All over me. All over the console. But you know what? I couldn’t even be mad. It’s that good. If anything, it was a reminder I should’ve finished the cup before pulling out.

“This is my go to Chinese restaurant. As a vegan I don’t trust many Chinese restaurants will make the food vegan. They often include fish sauce, shrimp paste or some other unwanted seasoning, and with the language barrier it can be difficult to know for sure. This place does it right with good fresh food and lots of vegan choices including tofu dishes and many faux meat options. My favorite is Kung Po Tofu. Sooo good. Prices are very reasonable as well! Try this restaurant out. You won’t be disappointed.

Vegetarian options: Check out their menu under Vegetables you’ll find the tofu dishes (my go to section) and under veggie meals you’ll see all the faux meat classics like sesame “chicken” or “beef” with broccoli… fresh and well prepared.

I had found one takeout place in Mendham that has done really well for years and when I work in that area I order it. On a whim I asked them how theirs was and said I would let her know.
