The chicken teriyaki box is a great deal served fresh with fantastic flavor and came with so many delicious sides. I also tried a couple of sushi rolls and seems like you can't go wrong with any options. I haven't had fresh cuts of fish like that anywhere else! Definitely recommend!“

“Oh my gosh the food was amazing. The atmosphere for a date night was a 10 out of 10. Such a gem in the neighborhood. The surf and turf hand roll was immaculate. Had the ex-wife roll and literally it was so many flavors at once I was surprised at the creativity. The host and serving staff were also very timely and very welcoming. “I would say this is the best Hibachi I have ever had! All are cooked from the top notch fresh ingredients. The sea bass is juicy, the steak is just right, the fried rice and noodles have a pleasant garlic favor which I never had it before at other restaurants , homemade teriyaki sauce adds just right sweetness. “We decided to try this sushi spot under its new ownership—and we’re so glad we did! The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the menu had a great variety of rolls to choose from. My daughter ordered the Udon noodles, which were packed with flavor and served with crisp, fresh vegetables.

The sushi chef even surprised us with a complimentary roll as a thank-you for coming in—it was almost too beautiful to eat! And to top it off, they gave us each a serving of mochi ice cream on the house, which was a perfect sweet ending.

“For a long time, sushi was considered exotic and maybe a little scary. But now one can find it practically everywhere, even in the grocery store. Sushi is a Japanese dish referring to the sour flavor of the vinegared rice.

Translated from Japanese, meaning “looks beautifully flavored,” my partner and I decided to stop for a quick bite at this establishment situated on a busy Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights.

Upon entering this clean and relaxed vibe as first-timers to Oishi Sushi, we had the entire place to ourselves and decided on a table by the window. They also have a small stool area in front of the sushi chefs.

Their extensive menu comprises a range of sushi rolls, sashimi, and bento boxes.

We opted for the Seaweed Salad, Avocado Roll, and Vegetable Lover Roll.

Food was excellent, presented well, and using the freshest quality ingredients. The Seaweed Salad was a tad salty; otherwise, everything tasted deliciously good. The price and portions were reasonable. The service was quick; the staff was friendly and courteous.

However, our meal was disrupted by a group of unaccompanied children who were very loud, constantly changing the restaurant’s music, and playing with the volume to the point it was hard to hold a conversation. One even mentioned their dad owns the building. Another diner actually asked if they were ours because it was that disruptive.

I really hope the owner addresses this, because it’s not fair to the staff or the guests if the children are being truthful about coming three times a week being this disruptive. Otherwise, this place is wonderful and I’d absolutely return when I’m back in the area.“

Then a nice hot bowl of Japanese Miso Soup 🥣. Then went into that Entree - Sea Scallop Teriyaki with Fried Rice 🍚. Yes this place was slamming!!!!!!! “This is a nice place to get sushi. When we go, we usually get all-you-can-eat, which is at a reasonable place.

The sushi is good and the service is very nice. It not a huge place, but it's comfortable. We like that the candies as you leave are chupa-chups and kopiko!
