“Since the most rated diners were like a 30 minute walk from Hoboken’s train station I would definitely recommend this place if you need something quick and nearby. I love Hispanic food, but this food was perfect! I got their breakfast French toast and my sister got their pancakes. I swear these typical sweet/bread type breakfast foods are not my thing yet the way they made them tasted so different and flavorful, for me this was unique. There Cuban empanadas are very savory, especially with the sauces they provide. My only critique is that lemonade, as it’s very bitter bc it had lime and it’s not sweet at all. The lemonade is $7.30 with card, and my meal was $9.99. Our server was very sweet, I would recommend coming here to have sweet/savory options met here. Also to me breakfast here is very affordable because with me and my sisters (3 people) our bill came to $56 with card, so most places in Hoboken are pricey but this place can offer what you need at an affordable price.“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Truly a neighborhood gem. Visited here many times and never disappointed. Great prices and consistently great prices. I usually get the chicken chunks (boneless) but I had the chicken mofongo instead, my friend ordered the cheese monfongo. My mofongo was great, wasn’t expecting to have two nicely fried pieces of chicken as a garnish, I also like that the mofongo portion wasn’t huge and comes with a side of salad (great for such a carb-heavy dish). Great flavors, but would’ve loved to taste a bit more garlic. The consumé that comes with the mofongo adds all the flavor you need.

“I ordered delivery from their website. No third party delivery service and it felt GREAT! I just paid for my food and gave a tip to the delivery person. I am so grateful that El Tina’s still does this.

We ordered the oxtail. It was delicious! So meaty and full of flavor. We also ordered the pernil which was very tasty and tostones with garlic sauce.

The food came piping hot and quickly. I cannot wait to order from Tina’s again.

“If you're looking for some of the best Dominican food in the US, it's here - down a few steps, in this pool hall. Everything was delicious, and I absolutely loved the habichuelas (beans).
