“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Really nice place to eat everyday, the 10$ meal is just really generous, if you eat a lot this is the place for you. I'm only speaking of 10$ meal. There are more things on the menu. Add a nice costumer service and this place is just great, I just had lunch in Newark, for ... like the same amount of food or less and it cost me 33$, I wish I was near Rancho Deli...“

“Yeah I got that at the Dominican Restaurant, where at?? Inside the Delta Gas station, sounds sus??
It’s definitely going to raise eyebrows, but let me tell you, the place looks fabulous you walk into a standard gas station convenience store, turn right it’s a wrapped up beautiful fully running restaurant.
Food portions are MASSIVE! A platter with pernil, congris $15 , 2 people can eat from this- or at the very least you’ll have leftovers- unless you’re bougie . The Pollo Guisado was juicy and tender not rock chicken, penil was good. The beans are absolutely scrumptious. We legit got 3 platters, extra rice beans, extra maduro, guineo and a morir soñando (freshly made to order!) check didn’t go past $60 .
Plenty of parking, restaurant is clean and bright, service was pleasant- will return!“

“DELICIOUS! Best mofongo & chicharron in Manhattan. Takes exactly like the one in PR that my family serves me. Everything is so flavorful and juicy and the chicharron is so incredibly crispy but still fatty. Was perfect for takeout and I’ll def be going back all the time“

“If you're looking for some of the best Dominican food in the US, it's here - down a few steps, in this pool hall. Everything was delicious, and I absolutely loved the habichuelas (beans). The gallina was tender to the point it was falling off the bone, and the rice was fluffy and full of flavor. This is truly a place where you can taste the love.“

“I ordered from two good to go, which is an app that gives you discounted meals for less at the end of the night. They gave me liver which I’m not a fan of liver, but I gave it to a friend. I got potato salad. That was delicious a soup with pork in it and vegetables, rice and beans and a vegetable dish with okra and plantains. I will try out their fried chicken soon everything was packaged very good and the place looks very clean. A+
Parking: Very busy street and hard to find parking in“

“DELICIOUS. The Chacá (maíz craquiao/sweet corn) is really good. I’m from PA and don’t come to NY at all, but anytime I have to cross the GW Bridge for whatever reason, I have to stop by the corner of W. 182nd / St Nicholas in the Bronx ( I think that’s the Bronx). I haven’t tried the habichuelas con dulce, but sometimes they have rice pudding (Arroz con leche) and it is also good. The habichuelas must be really good also because everyone on the line in front of me ordered the habichuelas con dulce. I left from my house in PA at around 9AM when I checked to see what time they open, Google has their hours from noon to 8pm. I arrived to NY at around 10:45AM hoping they were going to be there already, and they were. They were just getting set up and there were also other people waiting to get this delicious sweet treat. I guess they open at 11AM. One thing I didn’t see was their price list. I heard someone getting charged $9 for the big cup and I got charged $10. I’m not sure if that person got the habichuelas or the sweet corn and/or if the habichuelas and the sweet corn have the same price. They should list the prices so some people that are not from the area or don’t go there often think they are getting overcharged. If you pass by the area, stop by and get yourself some Cachá or habichuelas con dulce. By the way, the people selling are very nice and have been on that corner for many years.“

“Beef stew and Chivo were good. Beans are ok, not great. A serving of tostones is for 2 people it seems like. 4 stars 🌟 on that. I like the potato salad with eggs but they didn't have that today. Today they had macaroni salad with Tuna but I didn't taste any tuna 1 star 🌟 for the Mac salad. Service is good. It seems like a family run business. Overall I'll give them 4 stars because of they way they treat you like family. If your in passaic and hungry pass by and you won't be sorry.“

“Very authentic Dominican food at a great price. The people here are super friendly.
I had the sancocho with rice and a mofongo de pernil, both cooked the traditional way and full of flavor. Portions were generous, everything tasted homemade and was affordable (extra charge for credit card). Simple, honest Dominican food with no frills. Would come back.“

“I stopped by this little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I ordered a mangú con tres golpes and it was absolutely on point, well prepared, flavorful, and just the comfort food I was craving. The jugo de Chinola was not overly sweet and it was just right and refreshing, as it should be.
The service was just as great. Yadira took care of us with a big smile, quick service, and genuine kindness that made the experience even better. For such a small spot, it really delivers in both taste and hospitality.
Recommended 100%“

“For the first time I visited this fried food and I can tell you that I loved it, from the quality, the flavor, the portion that was too much and the price, not to mention super economical, we ordered a varied tray, a hotdog and a juice and everything was very delicious and the preparation was very Quick, I will definitely come back ?“
“Reyes, located in Woodside, Queens, is a fantastic Dominican restaurant that offers a true taste of the Dominican Republic. The standout feature of this cozy spot is their Dominican breakfast, which is a perfect way to start the day. From the classic *mangú* (mashed plantains) to *queso frito* (fried cheese) and *salami*—all served with a side of crispy *mangú* and scrambled eggs—each bite is bursting with flavor and authenticity.
Aside from breakfast, Reyes delivers an array of authentic Dominican dishes that are expertly prepared. The *sancocho* (a hearty meat stew) and *mofongo* (fried plantain mash) are particularly popular, offering rich, savory flavors that transport you straight to the heart of the Caribbean. Their *chicharrón de pollo* (fried chicken) and *arroz con habichuelas* (rice and beans) are also must-tries, showcasing the best of Dominican comfort food.
The only drawback is that Reyes is closed from Friday to Monday, which can make it a bit tricky to get a taste of their delicious offerings during the weekend. Nonetheless, if you're in the area and craving authentic Dominican food, Reyes is definitely worth the visit. The flavors, the quality, and the friendly atmosphere make it a standout spot in Woodside.“
