“New to area and this is my go to. It is impressive how quickly they can prepare your order. I enjoy ordering takeout for dinner here. The food is very good. Flavor and portions are generous. Orders are accurately done. Satisfied repeat customer.“
“Amazing taste!! The mofongo/mangu is to die for! Generous portions and reasonable prices!! The lady who served today was very nice and friendly and took the time to explain the different options I had for the best price. Definitely coming back!“
“Delicious vegan food. Tons of options. My non-vegan parents loved the food and talked about for days.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan. They offer vegan meat and tofu with rice or noodles and vegetables. The menu is 10 pages! They have gluten free options. The lunch options are very reasonable and just the right amount of food. The vegan desserts are delicious!“
“Today I was in this restaurant and I had the best experience I have ever had in any restaurant, a man served us. His name is TY, he is a very kind and helpful person, nowhere that I have been has they given me this service. He is a kind, attentive and above all very funny man. I went home super happy as did my girlfriend, thanks to him we had the best night and even the food was delicious because when you go to a place and the person is kind that influences everything.Thank you very much TY for everything, thanks to you I will return to PF Chang.Your service and treatment was 100/10.“
“I was lucky enough to find this family owned restaurant when my motorcycle broke down! They’re so kind and helped charge my phone so I could contact someone to help get me back home. The owners are some of the most friendly people I’ve ever met, they greated everyone with a smile and created a very welcoming atmosphere. It was great watching all the food being prepared and I was impressed at how fast they got orders out to the customers. I live 30 minutes away but I know I will be back soon, the food I ordered was delicious and I can’t wait to try more!“
“Even if you're not into Chinese food, you've got to admire the style that comes with it. My top-tier chums and I came here for lunch yesterday after The Pasta Shop had a 90-minute wait (which annoyed them/pretty much quashed any interest they had in trying to go back, and made me want to go even more - so it goes), and were rewarded with approximately a 30-second wait for a table here. Boy is there a lot to look at; I'm not going to risk using incorrect terminology in describing this building, but it's a lot. I'm assuming it's a fairly accurate interpretation of an "authentic" Chinese structure, but that's as far as I'm going. Very unique, very cool. And as someone who has spent a bit of time at a time vortex Chinese place in Rockland County of late, apparently aquariums are a big part of the decor. If you're looking for information on Hunan's authentic Chinese dishes, you've come to the wrong place - we went so basic, we might as well have ordered this with a side of Uggs and a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I ordered my tried and true Sweet & Sour Chicken, one top-tier chum ordered the Sesame Chicken, and the other top-tier chum ordered General Tso's Chicken. The edgiest item we procured were the steamed pork dumplings app to share.Everything here was very solid. These are obviously items that we'd typically get from a hole-in-the-wall takeout establishment, so it was a nice change of pace to eat the chicken off of actual plates (maybe most people do that too with their takeout orders, but I'm a barbarian through and through). The two keys for me when it comes to sweet & sour chicken are ensuring the chicken isn't overly deep fried where you're eating more fried skin than meat, and that the sauce is on the thicker side. Hunan checked off both boxes here, and since it was served with some vegetables, etc., there was some extra flavoring at play as well. The dumplings were very good as well. I've become more of a soup dumpling adherent in recent years, but I liked the seasoning in the pork and was pleased we got something other than generic chicken with our meal. The service overall was above average. I thought it slowed down noticeably towards the end, though we weren't in a rush or anything. But we'd clearly stopped eating and didn't receive a visit from anyone to pack up the leftovers for about 20 minutes - not egregious, and there were tons of staffers all over the place and it would have been very easy to hail someone down if the urgent need arose. Beyond that, everyone we interacted with was pleasant and efficient. One of my chums noted a party room in the back and was openly pondering the possibility of returning in the near future and hosting a birthday in there. I wasn't QUITE as blown away by this place as she was, but I'd definitely come back. But since I'm not a frisky teenager anymore, I sadly have to pick and choose my moments to chow down on Chinese food these days. The perils of Geriatric Oregon Trail Millennial-hood.“
“I had the pleasure of dining at New China Restaurant during a recent trip to New Jersey, and it was an outstanding culinary experience that filled my taste senses with a burst of genuine Chinese tastes. With its extensive menu, professional service, and warm atmosphere, this restaurant is a top pick for anybody looking for an authentic and fulfilling Chinese dining experience in the Garden State. It delivers a true flavor of Chinese cuisine.I was welcomed by a welcoming atmosphere as soon as I entered New China Restaurant. The beautiful design, which featured traditional Chinese themes and subtle lighting, produced a welcoming atmosphere.“
“It's the only Chinese food we buy bc we're picky about our Chinese food. The food is good and that's about it.They are rude, expensive and there's no dine in. I actually cannot stress enough just how rude they are. Like ridiculously rude.“
“I honestly fell in love with this Asian restaurant after a whole year moving into this area. I was really having a hard time on finding good Asian restaurants and all of them have awful reviews or disgusting discoveries. I'm happy to say this place given me hope and reminded me of an previous restaurant I went to all the time for quick eats or cheap options. I never had a problem coming here and it's always fresh whenever you come in for take out. I had no idea they had other options of Asian dishes until the bento box took me by surprise. It was so rich in flavor and tasted absolutely delicious. It's by far the best restaurant for the money and quality. You'll definitely change your mind when you order from here and expect amazing food. I'll always be back more!“
“This place is unbelievably good.. we were driving from NY to Toronto, and exited for the Cracker Barrel (blah) and found this spot by chance.. best meal we have had in a long time.. we know our Asian food as we are big foodies from Toronto and know our stuff! The food taste was amazing, the choices were many.. the prices were Very reasonable, service was impeccable and fast. My wife is vegan so they totally catered to her!! We had a whole bunch of things from the menu.. very very good and would recommend for sure 10/10!! Bravo!!!!!“
“New Horizon is always excellent. Food tastes great, portions are generous, and it's ready a little bit faster than you'd guess.Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian and pescaterian choices for appetizers and entrees.Parking: There are lots of parking spots.“
“I've always enjoyed Yummy Taste. But as I recall, it's to-go only after Covid started. We've done take out only four the past 3 years. Only down side is the amount of doe on their pot stickers. Way too much doe, compared to internal ingredients! Everything else is really good!“
“I used to eat here religiously during my high school days. I couldn't get enough of their rib tips and rice, sweet and sour chicken, and General Tsao chicken. I ate here recently after many years and they still got it! They're easily my favorite choice for Chinese food in the area!“
“food is always great and my order is always done quickly. I usually get the garlic broccoli which is amazing, and my fiancé gets the sesame chicken and says it’s good. highly recommend when you’re in the mood for quality classic Chinese takeout.“
“absolutely crazy. i got the sweet & sour chicken and the white rice (very basic i know) and it was insane. absolutely devoured. the sweet & sour sauce is the best i've ever had. i love the people that work here and i love the food even more“
“Dont let the tiny exterior fool you, this place has some of the best chinese food in Sussex County! Great fresh sushi, delicious teriyaki and excellent Chinese dishes. We've made our way through a good portion of the menu and havea been impressed. You wont be disappointed!“
“Best Chinese in the area! I get the chicken with broccoli and crab rangoons every time and it is always consistent. Their prices are a little more than surrounding Chinese restaurants but their food quality is amazing. The chicken is real chicken and doesn’t taste stringy or rubbery. The veggies in the dish and veggie rice are cooked perfectly. I will go to them forever! I order online so I don’t deal with anyone except to pick up my food hit every time they’ve been very quick and efficient. 10 out of 10 would recommend!“
“The food here is great. I don't understand the low score. Maybe back in the day it was bad but we have had great experiences here since living in the area. Felt compelled to write them a positive review to help get there score where they deserve. Def the best spot in the area. Bummer others have had bad experiences but in a half dozen orders here it has always been on point.Normally get General Tso, Lo Mein, Egg Drop soup and maybe egg rolls or Rangoon.“
“Just started coming here for Chinese food. The staff here is very nice and professional. The food has been great every time we’ve ordered. There are no left overs after this lunch! Will definitely be coming back. Good value for great quality food!“
“I ordered through Grub Hub , and was VERY pleased with the food I ordered. The wonton soup and chicken lo mein were both tasty. It's my new go-to Chinese take out. I didn't like the Grub Hub delivery: no text advising it had been delivered, nor did the driver ring my doorbell, so the food sat outside in the cold, most likely for over an 1/2 hour. :(“
“Excellent service and the food is always ready quickly. Don't sleep on the beef chow fun, the egg drop soup, or the wonton soup. The bbq spare ribs (get the fatty cut) are also very tasty. Unbeatable value for food. Definitely recommend for any American Chinese food cravings.“
“The food is always hot and delicious every time I order. Always a nice balance between meat and veggies in their meals. The hot and sour soup is always a home run in this family. My youngest son is picky about his egg drop soup and he really likes theirs. Thankful that we have tasty Chinese take out close to home.“
“Above average Chinese Takeout. First time trying it. My go to Chinese has become inconsistent so trying other places. Everything I ordered was very delicious and filling. I ordered the Mongolian Triple Feast which had chicken , beef, and shrimp with veggies (peppers, onions, carrots) in a Mongolian sauce and I will absolutely order that again. Chicken and broccoli was good , sesame cold noodles, lo mein and wonton soup all very tasty as well. Definitely recommend and will be back to try other things. Pricing is average for Chinese takeout now adays. Portions are also average as other places. No seating inside takeout only , fast service.“
“Nice spot for a Chinese food or sushi. Convenient to the local hotel and all the shops. Nice cozy indoor seating and good service. Food was flavorful. The fried dumplings and beef on a stick were great appetizers. The tangerine beef was sweet and spicy delicious.“
“Their fried rice is unmatched! I’ve eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants over the course of my life and I have to say this is probably the best one! Super clean and very attentive staff. This is my go to ever since I moved I to the Mt Arlington area. I drive the extra miles and even pass other Chinese restaurants just to pick up from here.“
