I drank a few cocktails ( mainly the gin /tequila based)- all were nice,fresh and alcohol forward which was appreciated .

The food was 10/10 for me , we got

Everything was delicious,fresh and well seasoned.

“I stay at the Canopy every time I come to Jersey City. Their food has always been amazing and yet they continue to dazzle with a new menu with the same cravings and yummy additions. “Food was really good. The Amish Chicken and Jerk Short ribs were delicious. Server was great. Kitchen seemed to get a bit backed up a peak time. That gave us an opportunity to taste their pull apart bread (whoa), which they brought out due to the wait.

I needed the restroom right away, and the bartender, Orlando, kindly escorted me to it, making me feel so welcomed. Once we were seated, the food started arriving, and I was blown away. The chef here is absolutely amazing. Her dishes are not only delicious but also incredibly well-prepared. The unique flavor combinations and creativity are outstanding. “I just wanted to give our waiter VINCENT !!! The biggest applause !!! Within the first few minutes on approach the expectations were defenitley met... Only downside of the experience was such a small menu usually people expect big plates. The portion sizes were honestly perfect to split between one other person if not just to have for yourself. My boyfriend and I had the Porter house 40oz cooked medium that was a Valentine's Day special and it came with this amazing Block of 1000 layer potato and it was probably one of the best french Frye ... I've ever had lol! They had an amazing wine selection for such a good price for being so close to the city !!! Most expensive bottle was probably $120 most of them average between 65 to 72$ . We also ordered the scallops. The oysters were a little bit warm upon arrival which was a disappointment because that's what was the main reason why we came there for but we were definitely enlightened to have our taste buds experienced to other varieties of the menu and the escargot which is an old Italian recipe which not many restaurants know how to make or prepare but the fried wontons we had absolutely delicious with the sauce they had at the bottom of the plate. It was like the perfect bean and nutty texture. Good job guys !“

“We visited our friends in Newport last weekend and decided to try Blue Anchor for brunch after seeing its great reviews on social media. The decor is bright and clean, with a beautiful view of the river.

Overall, the food was delicious with reasonable prices and generous portions. Our favorite was the flavorful, juicy burger with perfectly balanced ingredients. The fried cod in the fish tacos was also crispy and satisfying.“

“My husband and I went for Valentines Day and we liked it. The drinks and apps were amazing. Highly recommend the cast iron mac and cheese. Our entrees were ok, my husband asked for his steak medium and it was well done. My veggie burger was NOT good. We agreed we would just get different entrees next time we come back. And then we got the pecan pie for dessert and oh my god! Might be the best pecan pie either of us have ever had. Would seriously go back just for the mac and cheese and pecan pie.“

“This is our go to weekend spot when we want to hear some great music, and be taken care of by the best servers in town. Natasha, Abby, Meshon, and Shawn The whole gang. 10/10. They treat you like you're a regular no matter how crazy the crowd is. Great spot for no cover dancing.“

“Nice speakeasy under the eatery right in the square of Jersey city. The vibes were chic and sophisticated and the music was something you could listen to for hours. The prices for the appetizers were a bit on the pricey side but the drinks made up for it. If you want to meet up somewhere for a quick drink for a girls night or date night I would come here.“

“I’m not sure where these negative reviews about the bartenders are coming from — it honestly feels intentional or maybe even from competitors. I’ve been coming here since they opened, and every bartender I’ve met has been friendly and patient.

I’ve never seen them be rude to anyone, even when dealing with those loud, attention-seeking patrons every bar gets.

TBH Compared to some spots across the street, like The Ashford, the staff here actually shows a lot more patience and respect...

Also, I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting from out of town who wants something different from the ratchet, overly crowded bars/clubs in Jersey City. The prices are reasonable, and the DJs always play good music.

“One of the chillest spots in Jersey City.
I’ve stopped by Grace O’Malley’s a couple times while staying overnight in the area, and it’s hands down one of the best bars around. Great atmosphere, friendly bartenders, and a solid crowd. The Old Fashioned was spot on. Right in the heart of the party district, but feels more relaxed than some of the louder spots nearby. If I’m back in Jersey City, I’ll definitely return.“
