“I’ve been on a hot dog kick lately and recently found out about Boulevard Drinks, so my husband and I decided to drop in on a Saturday at around 11:30. The place is a hole in the wall. But it’s always the dingy looking places that have the best food. I’m not sure there were even any seats. We just stood next to the counter and ate, which you need to anyway because they’re meant to be eaten fresh. We ordered a cheese dog with sweet onions, and a spicy sausage with sweet onions. Each topping is 50 cents, so it can add up and you may end up paying $5 for a hot dog. But worth it for a once in a while treat. The hot dog was good but I liked the sausage a lot more. Both have a similar taste but the sausage is bigger and snappier. We ended up ordering another spicy sausage afterwards, but this time with chili. This one was pretty heavy so I’m glad we shared. Unpopular opinion, but I think a chili cheese dog would have been too much. Glad we got to check this place out!“

“Love the authenticity of this place. This is A-tier with all the other rice rolls spots nearby, never misses.
Also, the loving workers here treat you like family. Nostalgia to just see them talk to the locals in toishan and Cantonese.“
“The cart has been here for years and still remains my favorite place to get take-out for rice noodles. They are completely made to order and the owners are super friendly, the noodles super delicious and budget friendly. There’s a variety of options/combinations/sauces you can get with your rice noodles and I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.“

“Cash only.
This couple makes the absolute best food in town. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, large variety of options, from meats and seafood to mushrooms and vegetables.
Be ready to order, choose your spice level, and pay cash.
The couple is very friendly unless someone gives them a reason not to be.
Food is delicious and filling and will keep you ordering more and coming back with friends.“

“I went to a lot of restaurants in New York that were much fancier than this cart but this was my favorite food of the day. The cheong fun was gooey and had qq and a decent amount of meat. For $5 for the large, it was such a deal and fed three of us as a snack. I would go back in a heartbeat and order more. Wish we had this in Chinatown in Houston.“

“I got to try some unique global flavors at this fair: NOLA crawfish sandwich from Parish Po'Boys and a Raclette melt baguette sandwich from Raclette Street. Both costed about $20 so keep that in mind if you are used to the lower prices at Queen’s Night Market.“

“Been to so many smoothie places asking for #21 the health shake but nobody can do it like he does it, he’s very nice and understanding as well as quick with making your drink. I’ve experienced others who don’t pay attention to my instructions for the order or who take a while but he never fails to deliver the best smoothies quick. Definitely a must visit for great smoothies, wouldn’t recommend any other spot.“

“The auntie at this cart pays attention to the details and does not skimp on the sauce, she used a scissor to make small openings in the noodle for the sauce to seep through to the bottom, giving a nice coating of sauce to every part of the noodles instead of letting most of the sauce pile up on top. Prices are reasonable as well!“

“I can't tell you how many times I have tried to find Zongzi Lady. I always came too early. On this day I finally found her - at 4:15 pm. She's such an amiable lady. We had conversation as if we were old friends. She was surprisingly receptive to having her pictures taken also, in addition to my selfies. I could tell she's a contented person. She limits how many zongzi she sells and how many hours she works, like this was just a hobby.
Since we were travelling and can't stock up, we only bought 2, the Taiwanese kind for about $3 each. They had fatty pork, shitake mushrooms and peanuts (and dry shrimps I think) in them. The sticky rice had definition, wasn't soggy and the taste was on point. The only ingredients I would have loved was raw garlic and a few drips of Sriracha sauce because that was how I would eat one if my Mom made it at home. But that's out of scope.
I would advise that you try to find her early, especially on a hot summer day if food safety is your concern. Anyways, I am very glad to have finally got this one checked off from my NYC bucket list!“

“I have had hundreds of breakfast sandwiches all throughout the city and the Breakfast Burrito from Uri’s is without a doubt the best. Perfect flavor and texture combination, manages to hold up if you aren’t eating it for a bit (doesn’t get watery). Plus the people who work there are super friendly. An absolute staple of the UES“

“Love it! I had Lengua, El Pastor, spicy pork, they all tasted great and authentic street tacos! I didn’t care about the service, the lady was kinda delayed serving we even without people waiting. Anyway I was there for the taste and that ain’t changing my desire eating there.“

“Little stand located on the corner of Mulberry Street and Canal Street, is home to the most affordable and yummiest mini sweet cakes. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the mood for a light snack and if you have $2 on you (15 of these mini vanilla cakes are only $1.50)I got the plain mini vanilla cakes because I was not in the mood to make a mess, but they do offer various toppings: condensed milk, honey coconut, peanut butter, chocolate syrup and nutella for an additional dollar.“

“it was actually one of the best halal I’ve had. I’m not kidding. the cart, Halal Harlem, was established in 2002. the guy working it was a little slow but that’s bc his experienced hands will make your lamb gyro on pita with so much care. be patient and you’ll get the best halal you ever tasted. he didn’t skimp on the meat or veggies. there was onions, tomatoes, and lettuce!! some places give you lettuce and call it a day. He charges fair prices! I love Harlem Halal like I love the M116. with gratitude in my heart and wallet.“
“I sadly didn't get to eat here. I was lost without my phone and a person who worked there helped me, like we were best friends. He handed me his phone so I could write down directions, without worry, and was incredibly kind to me. If the food is half as good as the people who work there, you should check this place out! :) thank you for helping me and being a good person. It means more than I can say and I wish you health, happiness, and great success. :)“

“((4.5 stars))
this small Halal food truck is serving a small menu of rice platters, pita sandwiches, and salad platters. the cart is parked right outside the Trader Joes / Target. after grocery shopping, you can opt NOT to make a meal with groceries you just bought...but instead buy a quality freshly-cooked savory dish instead. irony. sorta.
picked up dinner, here, recently after the gym and doing some grocery shopping. got a chicken over rice. from my pov, the chicken is seasoned well and is cooked fresh on the grill ('fresh' meaning it wasn't being reheated) and spiced accordingly. the grill guy was focused on spicing the chicken as it sizzles. the platter takes a little longer to make, but it is worth the extra wait. the layers of spice flavors across the chicken, veggies (peppers and onions), and rice were really, really good. the white sauce is must as it give each bite a little bit of cooling flavors amongst the spicy savory heat. also, the platter comes up with a small bunch of lettuce chopped up which adds a nice fresh crispness which is like a palate refresh from the spiciness. the food here is on the spicy hot side which isn't overpowering but gives the dish some pop. you can up the spiciness with the red sauce that the dish is topped with at the end, but it is pretty hot, so BEWARE.
the cart owner-cook is friendly and knows what he's doing because the food coming off this grill is quite good and savory.“
“I'll be adding this restaurant to my regular rotation. The employees ensured quick food delivery with great service. The kitchen knows what they're doing. I appreciated the consistency across courses. This place should top your list.“
