Started with turkish bread (complementary) which was yum!

The Manti was the highlight for us. But the mezze platter and lamb kebab was no less - very tasty.

The dessert- instabul dreams was exceptional too but especially the warm atmosphere. Zainab and Elvan filled the place with warmth and fun conversation.

Would definitely come again just for the Manti“

I’ve been living in the U.S. for 16 years, and the thing I’ve missed and loved the most is lahmacun. After trying it at PIDDE, I’ve never had lahmacun anywhere else again. At other places I’ve tried over the years, I always experienced heartburn afterward — but never at PIDDE.

“We were in the area to see Cherry Blossom Festival in the local park. We originally planned to eat at our favorite restaurant Istanbul in Clifton NJ. We got hungry and looked for close by Turkish restaurants, found this place. Absolutely loved the ambiance, food and the service. We are hooked for life. Try the Calamari for appetizer, lamb shish kababs for main entry. Food was authentic and cooked to perfection. We will be back.“

“Afiyet in Cliffside Park is, unfortunately, a complete disaster for anyone trying to pretend good food no longer exists. The authentic Turkish cooking here is so outrageously good that it makes ordinary restaurant meals feel like cafeteria mistakes. Every dish tastes like it was made by someone who actually cares about flavor, tradition, and the radical concept of seasoning food properly. The meats are perfectly cooked, the breads taste like they were sent down from a higher power, and everything has that unmistakable homemade, authentic quality that ruins lesser restaurants forever.

The staff and owner are also wildly inconvenient in the sense that they are too friendly. Instead of the usual cold, robotic service you expect these days, they are warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you there. It is almost exhausting being treated that well. You walk in expecting dinner and leave feeling like you were adopted by a very talented Turkish family.

And to make matters worse, parking is easy. No heroic search. No parallel parking Olympics. No circling the block questioning your life choices. You just show up, park, and enjoy one of the best meals around like that is somehow allowed.

“The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Turkish cuisine. Several tables are available for dining in but there are no servers. Soups, salads, hot and cold appetizers, meat pies, entrees, sandwiches, wraps, beverages and desserts are available. I ordered the chicken gyro and kofte kebab platters. Both platters provided customers with generous portions. The food tasted very good and was well-prepared. Friendly and helpful staff.“

Burger wasn’t that hot but fresh. Would go here again. Worker just needs to understand how much before ringing things up. Using the cellphone with gloves when I first walked in was a no no. Don’t know if he changed them when making the food being it’s only him in the place as a cashier and cook.“

And the delicious Turkish tea (which is served in a really cute cup!) The bread and olives are also very yummy! I would certainly recommend!“

It was the freshest salmon I tasted and was on a bed of rice so healthy and still tasty! I tasted a Turkish soda and it was fruity and the best combination of sweet and tangy The salmon SKIN was amazingly crispy! Yes the skin. We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“
