“This review is LONG overdue, but this past October, Sophie had a cake prepared for my boyfriend’s 25th birthday. It was coming up really soon and I still hadn’t gotten a cake. I came across Sophie C’s Sweets on Facebook and saw how talented she was. I messaged her on a Monday, asking if she’d be able to bake me a cake by the following Saturday, and to my surprise, she was able! The ordering process was super smooth and the pricing was very reasonable. When I picked up the cake, she had it beautifully presented, and it looked BETTER than the reference I had sent. Let me tell you, when we finally had a bite, this was the BEST cake I’ve had in my entire life. I’m not exaggerating. “Great service, the bagels 🥯 are fresh. Hidden bagel store in Coney Island. I’ve heard about this bagel store about half a year ago from locals finally got a chance to try it. Bagels have different flavors jalapeños cheese, Parmesan mozzarella bagel. Those special flavors bagels caught my attention. I bought their daily commuter special a coffee and plain bagel with butter for $3.50 and 7 bagels to go, got to try their special flavors. The atmosphere decor is not the ordinary bagel deli store. It’s somewhere u can sit and have a quick bite in the morning. Highly recommend, will be returning for sure.“

“I really like this place! I had a coffee and it was good. Since it was my first time here, the bakery was crowded inside, which limited indoor seating, so I had to sit outside—but I didn’t mind. The service was a bit slow with a moderately long line, but the bakery was clean and the staff were friendly. I’ll definitely be returning and recommend giving this place a try!“

“Mav's Top Buns was absolutely wonderful as we went there for the first time in March 2026. We got a box of an OG, a blueberry crumb, thin mint and banana pudding. They were all absolutely delicious with just the right amount of doughiness and sweetness, without being overly sweet as many buns often tend to be. Service was terrific as well and the new owners are great people, who seem to truly care about both their customers and their staff. We'll definitely be back for more buns. Can't wait to see what flavors they come out with next!“

“Stopped by for breakfast after a hike around Rocky Point Trail. I had the ham and cheese croissant and my friends had the almond croissant. They were both phenomenal. I'm a savory fan so the thick salty ham at the center made me happy. The almond croissant had some chocolate and was decadent as well. The interior is so pretty with its pastries and decor. Service was quick and we were able to sit at their tables outside and enjoy our croissants in the nice weather.“

“There was something wrong with my food , it was the boss guy. Tall dark hair, Indian man. He thought it was funny. I need these people charged for what they did. It was disgusting. I spent 3 dollars too much at this store. If you see this man please avoid the place it’s terrible. Other than that the people that work there are nice. The people that served me, Andrew and Alex, were the best I’ve ever met. I love them. The food was good but that guy was there so it was difficult. It fits in wonderfully with Red Bank’s culture even though it’s a recognized franchise brand and the coffee is delicious. The chocolate and strawberry croissants are very fresh. I love the modern aesthetic and layout mixed with the friendly atmosphere. I felt like I was in an high end “Mom and Pop shop”. It was also cleaner than most of the local coffee shops.
