“This place is right next to the Hamptonn Inn in Elizabeth which is pretty convenient. It wasn't super busy and they sit you down quickly with some good drinks. Our server seemed newer at her job, or perhaps not very good but the food was pretty tasty we had no complaints. \n\nIt's not fine dining but unless you want to eat at the food court at Jersey Mills or IHOP, this was the best option we found.“

“This place was great! My family of 6 came in a little late in the evening. We’re visiting the big city but stayed in New Jersey and needed something to eat close to our Airbnb. This was by far the best food of our entire trip. The owner was very gracious and accommodating. We had a busy toddler and she is really hard to impress with food. She had the pasta and meatballs and really enjoyed. I had the grill chicken and shrimp. Everything was so well seasoned and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return if I’m in the area. .“

This is likely one of Jersey City’s best-kept secrets, and can rival any Michelin-starred or trendy restaurant across the Hudson. “I won’t lie, I took my partner here as a surprise after he got into the car and I had the very Kitchen Nightmare episode this restaurant was featured in. You know, the episode with Bobby the gangsta executive chef who was making $100,000?

It was a great episode, but the owners looked like very good people. Even though it’s been a couple years, I discovered Bask46 was not only still open, but thriving.

We didn’t get to set at Gordon’s booth, but we were right next to it. The service and food were fantastic!

My partner got the tacos, which he loved (the portions look bigger than what Gordon has suggested). I had the 46 burger. The first half tasted bland, but it seems because all the flavor was just on the other side — and when I hit that, I loved it.

The potato skins appetizer was OK, but still we had a great experience.

It was a Sunday night so we didn’t expect to see the owners, but we still had a great time, and it looked like things were running smoothly.

Fun experience, and who knows, maybe we’ll trek back again. Bask46 is one of the rare Ramsay success stories, and it truly is a success.“
